Shakib Al Hasan's IPL context
Bangladesh's top news media "Prothom Alo" has published a report saying that Shakib Al Hasan will not play in IPL this season.
As an explanation for they said that since the Bangladesh Cricket Board had already announced that no player would be given an NOC to play in the IPL if the country had any games. Kolkata Knight Riders have requested Shakib Al Hasan to withdraw from this IPL due to BCB's decision. The reason for the request is that after a player is rationalized, a team cannot change him at will unless that player gives permission.
For that permission, when Kolkata Knight Riders contacted Shakib Al Hasan, Shakib Al Hasan informed that he will withdraw his name from this IPL. Because Shakib Al Hasan has a good relationship with Kolkata Knight Riders, he decided to withdraw his name from the IPL easily at the request of Kolkata.
You may say why Kolkata Knight Riders took such a decision.
So I tell you Kolkata Knight Riders want players in the team who can stay with the team for the entire season of IPL. But Kolkata Knight Riders will not have Shakib Al Hasan in the team for the full season because of an away series with Ireland in England, that's why they have decided to do so.

It was really disappointing to see Sri Lanka collapse and get bowled out in short span. They had a great opportunity to score big as 180, but unfortunately their batting display towards the end was poor. I must say that Adam Milne's bowling was truly sensational! He managed to take five wickets against Sri Lanka. As things stand right now, it seems like New Zealand are the favorites to win this match and level the three-match T20I series 1-1.

Series is now level due to good bowling followed by excellent batting of New Zealand. Adam Milne took 5 wickets and then New Zealand batsmen scored 146 runs on just 88 balls. Sri Lanka were going good until Dasun Shanaka got out in 16th over and that's the point where Sri Lankan batting troubled against New Zealand bowling. Tail role is very important in T20 as they have to score runs towards the end of innings. Sri Lankan top order set the platform but it was not utilized by lower order batting.

Sirlanka batting line up tried to score good today ans ends up giving a good target of 141 runs in 19 overs with all wickets gone , majority of batting lineup didn't score double digit.

And this is an unofficial stand, some small % also goes to big guns as bribes, mainly politicians (not the ruling party) but every stakeholder and almost every major party in India has a stake in the state bodies and it's nonpartisan.

Extremely unhappy by the poor performance of Prithvi Shaw & Sarfaraz Khan. They both created a lot of records in domestic cricket but unfortunately they both are struggling against international bowlers. I do not think Prithvi Shaw would get another chance in the Indian side after such unprofessional batting.
DC is missing Rishab Panth as he and David Warner were the batter who proved their reliability everytime DC needed them. Such a low score batting first the pressure was always on the DC bowlers. Nortje did his level best but other bowlers were not upto the mark.
GT works as a team in every parameter. This is what makes them an unbeaten after 2 matches. I am again expecting them to reach the finals. If they continue to play in the same manner.

The government receives a lot of tax revenue from the IPL (especially with ticket sales, TV broadcast rights, advertisement sales.etc). So even if the BCCI profits are not directly taxed (as far as I know, the BCCI is a non-profit organization), the government benefits in the form of indirect taxes and huge number of jobs that are being generated. And tax rates are quite high in India. This was one of the reasons why back in 2021, the government was not happy when the BCCI decided to stage latter half of the tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
There is an interesting feature introduced in current IPL which allows a player to be substitute IN and OUT that's make the format even more interesting. ODI and test can be predicted buts its impossible to predict outcome of T20 match as anyone can win in that format ( see recent example of Afghanistan beating Pakistan in T20I series).

Delhi Capitals decided to replace Sarfaraz Khan with Khaleel Ahmed. It worked well for them, as he picked the wicket of Hardik Pandya. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans replaced Josh Little with Vijay Shankar. And the latter played a very crucial role, by making a knock of 29 runs from 23 balls. By the time he got out in the 13th over, Titans were very close to the target. It is still very early to say which team is actually going to win the IPL trophy this time. But it is true that Gujarat Titans have started this season's IPL quite well. The team that they have is really good.

GT is new team but very strong they have a good IPL season last year i.e. winner of IPL 2022 and they have an excellent start of this IPL too. Delhi team should have given a target of 200 runs to Gujrat team but they settled for 162 which was chased easily by GT in 19th over.
Second T20 match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand scheduled to take place today. In the first T20 the match turned interesting as both the teams levelled the score and Sri Lanka won the super over. None could've expected the match to reach such a level as the target score is 196 runs. New Zealand is in a must win situation to keep its chance high to win the series. For now New Zealand is predicted to win the match.
Sai Sudharsan is batting well with only six runs left to reach his half century. I think he should survive and David Miller's strike rate should be higher in the current situation. Gujarat won by 6 wickets. Sai Sudarshan has done a great batting. Unbeaten on 62 off 48 balls. Vijay Shankar scored 29 runs off 23 balls. David Miller was unbeaten on 31 off 16 balls. Gujarat won in 18.2 overs. The way Gujarat's wicket fell in the beginning. The team was under pressure . Sai Sudarshan led the team to victory with a great batting performance.
Gujarat Titans will probably retain the title at the rate at which they are going. 80% of their team are filled with capable batsmen while around 40% are all rounders. Pandya, Miller, Sudharsan, Rashid, Tewatia, Gill etc.

Yeah, If we leave out Wriddhiman Saha and Vijay Shankar then there are too many match winners in this team and the middle order is packed with heavyweights who can win matches singlehandedly.Their management did an excellent job overall. GT's management even manages Saha beautifully at the top and he seems to play the opener role quite efficiently despite his limitations.
