This result was incredible. Especially the strike rate of each batsmen of Bangladesh was more than 100. I am used to seeing Bangladeshi batsmen batting at 70-80 strike rate. Bangladeshi batsmen batted very well. It was unthinkable that Bangladesh would win against a T20 specialist team like England. Bangladeshi batsmen as well as bowlers also bowled well. The way England started batting I thought they would give a target of 180+ today. But England managed to set a target of only 157 runs.

In this match, Bangladesh has been able to secure victory with their full merit. But England will try to bounce back in the next match and I believe they have the ability to do so. So Bangladesh should play the next match more cautiously.

Yes, it is very important for Bangladesh cricket team players to be more aware and responsible in the upcoming matches. Because England cricket team is a much stronger team than Bangladesh cricket team. I think a lot of people do not follow this tournament closely at all. I remember a lot of years ago there was a competition between players from Asia and players from the rest of the world, probably. If I recall correctly it was probably in 2004 -05 or around that time. That competition was actually interesting to see. I don't know what happened. That competition was discontinued.

Nowadays we don't see any competition like that as far as I know.

Can you tell me if the ICC is behind the tournament that you are talking about? Because if ICC is, this tournament should be marketed a lot more.

I'm not sure, whether ICC is behind the tournament or not. The tournament is quite interesting to watch as it remind of watching old matches. Though the match isn't familiar, India have good set of players and to few players are down with their fitness, in particular Raina is simply different. Afridi and Shoaib sitting outside and enjoying the match, and this match particularly interests the 90's kids.

After losing the ODI series to Bangladesh, the T20 series secured a remarkable victory in the first match. England's batsmen got off to a great start scoring runs but could not sustain that consistency in the end. The way England's two openers started the batting, I thought they could at least give a target of 180 runs. But England's innings stopped at 156 runs due to the batting weakness of the middle order. And it wasn't enough to win. However Bangladeshi batsmen Shanto and Sakib's excellent performances made Bangladesh's win easy. Bangladesh reached the target of victory in just 18 overs.

I was not aware of the history between Bangladesh and England in T20 but they chased down the total really well. Looking at the team, majority of their top order players were fairly new to me and once Bangladesh reached 100 in the 11th over i was convinced that they would chase the total and hence placed a bet on them as they had Shakib Al Hasan still to come out to bat and they had a couple of other players before him.

Did you know that this was the only 2nd T20 International Match between Bangladesh and England? The first match Between Bangladesh and England was the 20th Match of the T20 World Cup 2021. In that only T20 International match, Bangladesh Scored only 124 Runs by losing nine wickets and England won the match with eight wickets in Hand. They had six more overs in hand as well.

It's been 19 years since T20 International Cricket started. England And New Zealand Played the First T20 International on 5 August 2004. In 19 years, Bangladesh never faced England only once and it was in the T20 World cup. This is the first T20 International series between Bangladesh and England. Bangladesh playing in their backyard.
