I have followed the tokens movements for a few years and there is no clear tactic to follow, since the movements are not following the traditional stocks patterns as they are in other markets.
Keep your head cold is the best tactic in these moments (don't panic). This is the most important rule, making decisions and thinking with a cold head. Now it is better to wait for growth and don't sell. It is worth a little bit to buy.

I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.

The first rule that you need to follow is that, you need to hold the coin that you have if the value is too low or you're not satisfied to it. Try to hold it until the price increased. When the market falls you have two options, either trade or wait for the market to stabilize and go up again. I have invested in the long term so I just expect. During the drawdown, I also managed to buy some good coins.

My tactics is to buy coins with positive potential. I hold my coins in my wallet. I don't give in to panic when they try making me sell so that they can buy cheaper. Hodling these times is the best.

Falling of market is not so happy event and I think that everybody has his own tactic for surviving. I am holding most of all because don't see other variants.
my strategy is to hold it for a long time , because the market is always rising and falling. this is normal. if it is a good coin, it will recover quickly. Instead, i will increase my investment when the market falls.
