Savings doesn't guaranteed you becoming prosperous neither does it adds anything to your life, do you know that if you saved 10,000,000 today in 10 years time to come that money will be worthless due to inflation although it's not all problems it would solve but at least when the money finishes without any business then you are back to square one. The best is save money only for emergency funds or I be used in few months while salary keeps going into in business it could be bitcoin investment or any other landed properties to secure your future, it could be real estate or whatever you know that would generates money for you at a constant basis.
Money is like a magnet, it attracts people to you and that's why you need to be wise when you become wealthy. Most people that will come around you are for the grabs and when it is no more there, they'll disappear like the wind. I recently finished reading the book "Psychology of money" and one of my key takeaway from the book is that, as much as possible, I should exclude myself from the rat race of constantly trying to live my life to impress others. Embracing the luxury life when I don't even need it is such a bad idea because at the end of the day, when push comes to shove; all the people I'm trying to impress won't be there to support me.
As long as the basic stuff are enough to cater for my needs and I am contented, I am good. I only realized afterwards that most things I have gotten in the past was solely because I wanted to impress people. Not again!
