It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency, since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site; Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in - your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.

If the Bitcointalk community doesn't oppose the idea, I won't oppose it either. And I will be able to reconfigure the server, to give greater freedom and guarantees in operating in other locations. What is your opinion? You don't have unlimited resources so I would be very careful in spreading TalkImg service to other forums, especially if there are no donations coming from other forums.I don't think there are no imgur limitations in other forums, like there are in bitcointalk, so members can use imgur and other alternative instead. On the other hand, there is a chance that spreading the word about TalkImg could bring you more income, and that means more resources. It would be nice if you can separate images per domain. I'm currently storing 30 GB of image backups. I like keeping a backup for Bitcointalk, but if other domains upload a lot of images, it's a waste of my disk space. Going back a little.I believe you automatically save the backup zip files. But, would you have the ability to check between the image links posted, and the images that are in the backup? The Linux default is about 58 million inodes per TB. How many did you have? I think we've talked about this before. But, whatever service I'm using, I have a higher limit. Either way, for now the service is viable for our needs, and therefore, I don't need to change it. In the future, I have the possibility to improve this aspect. A sub-domain may work: whateversite.talkimg.com. If you can enforce it so each image only loads on a certain site, they'll have to respect it. The issue is not having a subdomain, the issue is that I will have two administration areas. In turn, I had to manually create locks on each domain, so this management really required itself. Because, hotlinking is not always efficient. Basically, it would be like creating two websites, even if the same hosting is used. It would be nice if you can separate images per domain. You can basically copy paste this ann there. I think it is worth the effort. You will also have to teleport so you can post images He can ask someone who is already active there to open an unofficial topic referencing this thread. I don't know what to expect from it, but it requires very little effort. I have no problem putting a topic there. I just don't want to give support there - I don't have time to deal with two support topics (it doesn't even make sense). I'll think about it. ___ Note for users: the service continues to have hotlinks configured to only work on bitcointalk. Use in other locations may not be guaranteed over time. I wasn't planning on doing that already. But maybe it's a good age to see what kind of support they'd be willing to give. I'll try to make time to do that. Also, if you are already registered there, and obviously, the use of talkimg on that forum will not be denied, why don't you at least open an ANN page with donation addresses? If the service is already being used, why don't the others have the opportunity to become familiar with it and maybe also support? I wasn't planning on doing that already. I can quote your answer there, or feel free to answer by yourself. I have been using lol Thank you for bringing the matter to attention. Interestingly, or not, I also received a PM asking if they could use it on another forum (without specifying the forum). In reality, it doesn't bother me that it is used in other forums, as long as they accept the rules that are imposed, based on Bitcointalk. It is true that the server is currently configured to be able to reject hotlinks from sites other than Bitcointalk. But, this never guarantees that it works 100%. It may work today and not tomorrow. But, according to the experience of several users, it has been used without problems in other places other than here on the forum. hello joker_josue.

Is this new feature already released, because I can't see this option for links anywhere?✂️ i still can't find the new feature on the TalkImg.com site... is it not yet implemented or what could be the reason? TalkImg Feature Info____________________ I'm sorry to inform you, but I had to suspend this feature temporarily, as despite the tests carried out, the functionality is not working as intended. In this sense, the upload feature via link is currently inactive, until all issues involving its operation can be resolved. I apologize for the situation. Added the ability to upload images via link. Is this new feature already released, because I can't see this option for links anywhere?✂️ i still can't find the new feature on the TalkImg.com site... is it not yet implemented or what could be the reason? TalkImg Update____________________ Added the ability to upload images via link. The upload rules remain the same as those applied to uploads via files. We believe that with this new functionality, it will be more practical in some cases to upload. Please remember that it is still not permitted to send images that violate copyright. Abuse of this new functionality may lead to its removal. To use this new functionality, simply click on the "Upload" button at the top right, and click on "Add image URLs". This functionality can be especially useful, so you can quickly resend images that you have already posted here on the forum, and want them to now stay on TalkImg. I hope this new feature is useful for everyone. Thank you for implementing this feature and kudos for doing it rather quickly as well. It's pretty cool when you can talk with developers directly here to make suggestions that actually turn into features on their products. That vibe is what originally made me fall in love with this forum. I'm glad that you're here and trying to improve things. I hope that your experience continues to be a positive one here with this project and that you continue to be active in this community. Maybe even inspiring others along the way. When you try to upload and the error occurs again, click on "report error" to check the message that appears. Then post it here so I can analyze the case. Its working again now, without me doing anything. Too bad I forgot to check "report error" but I'll make sure to do it next time (if it happens again). Does this only happen with a specific image, or with all your other images? It was happening with all images that I tried to upload Anyone else getting this message when trying to upload the image? Image is way below the limit so I have no idea what could cause it as I see it for the first time When you try to upload and the error occurs again, click on "report error" to check the message that appears. Then post it here so I can analyze the case. Does this only happen with a specific image, or with all your other images? I tried uploading image using talkIMG after reading your post and it all went well. Maybe you just need to clear your cache and try again. Recently bitcointalk has been loading slowly. I'm not sure if it's connected to this matter. LOL I uploaded 4-5 images like half an hour earlier and everything was working normally and then suddenly it just stopped working. And yeah, like ~10 minutes ago forum was loading slowly for me too but it passed in a minute or two while I still can't upload images via talkimg. Anyway, thnx. Jump to:
