On this day ATP men's singles will have several matches and there is one match that interests me which is David Goffin vs Hubert Hurkacz.
It was an easy match for Hubert Hurkacz to win as his opponent would not be up to par with him.
We already know how Hurkacz plays in every match and the several titles he already has so it seems David Goffin will find it very difficult to be able to keep up with Hurkacz in the match later.
Spend a little money to be able to take advantage of this opportunity because this will be one of the most satisfying benefits.

Just looking at the line ups for tomorrows very busy first round day of Roland Garros
and there are some really tough draws for some of the well known players.

Kokkinakis v Evans - could go either way

McDonald v Korda - Korda could lose this, his season this year so far is very low key

Shelton v Sonego - could go either way

Musetti v Ymer - Ymer has to prove himself a bit after his explosion during the week and
being disqualified, but its going to be tough against Musetti.

Damn, my tennis bets are on fire. 2 days in a row getting odds @5+ on a single match correctly.

I love bets like these, they really boost the betting bank quite unexpectedly.

I really don't understand why Ymer would ever be such an outsider against a guy as bad as Hoffman.

Right now O'Connell is playing against Dimitrov in Geneva. O'Connell won the first set in a tiebreak and seems to be winning set 2 as well. If you had watched this, you could have placed a bet in the match. Too bad to have missed that. Would at least be a surprise if O'Connell reached the semi-finals. I am curious to see what the odds are if it goes into the 3rd set. Dimitrov is seeded at 4. The winner of this match will play against Fritz.
The match have reached the third set, as Dimitrov won the second set. The odds at the moment were in favour of O'Connell. Same as the first set the second set went closer and finally Dimitrov was able to win it 7-5. Meanwhile in the match between Medjedovic and De Jong the match is near win situation for Medjedovic as he leads the deciding set 4-2.

Dimitrov also won the third set. But it was not easy and O'Connell showed a good performance.

On psychology, did anyone see the match between Fils and Ymer at the Lyon Open?
Ymer totally lost it at the end of the first set after losing a game to bring the set to 6-5.

It was a strange atmosphere and Ymer was playing a French opponent. After one
of Fils shots was in Ymer challenged it and asked the ref to check the mark, the ref
refused to get off his chair and go check the mark, after about 5 minutes of discussion
Ymer played on and lost the game, he then went to the ref's chair and smashed his
racquet against it and damaged the chair, he was disqualified.

The situation got to him after a difficult atmosphere.

No, I did not see it and I do not know if the ball was in or not. But such situations can upset a player. But I also do not think it was right that the referees din not stood up from his chair.

-------------------

Ruud lost in Geneva. I do not think anyone expected that. Now the semi-final is between Zverev and Jarry. Zverev was leading 4:1 in the quarter-finals against Wu Yibing when Wu Yibing could not continue the match. Zverev now has a big chance to reach the final.

Thanks for the answers guys and true about Pouille potentially being good value in the next few matches.

My other high odds bet will be on Ymer vs Hoffman today @5 odds with odds booster applied.
I don't rate Hoffman at all, Ymer's not much better though but I do feel that the odds are not realistic at all.

Correct. he has several issues and also problems related health.
somehow reminds me of the story of Paire (another french player Roll Eyes) .
After achieving great results he fell in the ATP rankings and wasn't able to win a match in several tournaments.
Now in RG will face Norrie but probably he has not much chances Sad

What happened to Lucas Pouille? Did he have some sort of long-term injury?

I just went through live betting and saw him at @5.70 odds against Rodionov so I placed a bet on him just for YOLO purposes.

I went to see his placement before placing the bet though and he's like 650th or sth like that. It really surprised me to see that - he was top 10 at some point.
Injuries, depression, and alcohol addiction kept him out of competition for a time before returning to play. It's quite unfortunate that he experienced this because he is one of the French tennis players who was predicted to excel. He ever was in the top twenty but immediately dropped far because he had not played for a long time.
With his current ranking, it will be difficult for him to get far in a match because the draw will not be in his favor.
But betting on him against the currently better-ranked player is quite an interesting thing to do because it might pay off quite a profit if Poullie wins.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/tennis/lucas-pouille-depression-alcohol-tennis-29557379

Similar thing happend to Thiem but for Pouille it is much worst and looks like there isnt any hope for him anymore.
All the top players who have been injured for a long time and return to the field will really need a very hard effort to get back to performance, but Thiem, who is back in the top 100, will be able to make a comeback if he often participates in tournaments and doesn't experience any more injuries, while Poullie too must struggle to recover from depression which will probably make him have to work harder to back stronger.

The H. Medjedovic vs. J. De Jong match will begin soon in the ATP men's singles.
H. Medjedovic himself is one of the young players competing in the ATP but he hasn't had a pretty bright career so far.
Even though this match didn't attract much attention, it looks like Medjedovic will get an easy win over J. De Jong.
I'm risking quite a bit of money on this match.
-snip-

Before the match i think this was a lock . De Jong won the first set 6-0 and looked like he went for an easy win. But your bet now is going good 1-1 in sets and now is up a break in the last set. Really good odd on Medjedovic but still a lot to go im third set and just needs to keep his serve until the end.
In the first set De Jong excelled but in the second and third sets Medjedovic won both of them so that the victory was in Medjedovic's hands with 2 - 1 from the three sets that took place.
It's great this is the 3rd win out of 5 bets I made.
Maybe this is a fortune but it also brings joy.

IMO I dont see him winning anything in the near future no matter what tournament.
Qualifying at Roland Garros is in play now so he really only has this tournament to get
extra play time in before he starts in RG.
Unfortunately for him with the recovery from injury many players have progressed while
he seems to have stayed static. this is reflected in his ATP ranking outside the top 20!

I agree. Unfortunately. The problem is his thoughts and mind. Tennis is decided a lot in the head. His fitness is fine. But something happens during his game that he thinks about too much. He said that in a recent interview. And if the opponent takes advantage of this time, even if it only lasts a few minutes, then it will be difficult for Zverev to get back into the match. Time will tell if he will mange it.

This is just his opponent winning the psychological warfare in my opinion. Let's not forget every man has to face the demons which he has created in his mind. You have to conquer yourself before you conquer the world.

As a top level athlete, you absolutely cannot let any doubts get close to your mind. And that's the thing which he seems to be not able to do in certain situations. He has to learn how to not doubt himself in key situations. Probably he needs a good psychologist by himself.

What a luck to win the bet. Is the bet amount is big, if so a lucky day. Lucas Pouille have won the match against Rodionov after losing the first set 1-6. In the second set he had made a comeback and won the set 7-5. The best played was the final set that was easily won by Lucas Pouille 6-0. Big win for Lucas Pouille as well as @cryptofrka for the @5.70 odds winning.

congratulations beautiful win and definitely not simple given the atp ranking and the condition of the player. also, this is a rewarding odds. I have not watched the match but kind result could be related also to a bad performance of Rodionov in third set Roll Eyes
Here on  French Opne, in addition to the "usual names" strong on this suface, who will be able to approach the title? any outsider that deserve attention?

@posi he ain’t a bad player but for some reason he’s not able to utilise his full potential but in the long run he can definitely win some big tournaments. Also it’s natural for player’s to feel the pressure but what matters now is how he’ll deal with it and the sooner he can reshape his thoughts then he can bounce back strongly and in my personal opinion he’ll definitely come out stronger from his struggles.

Problem in the struggle is with himself. If it was his opponent I believe he actually could have conquered this lot easier.

Anyway, I think a good psychologist can help a lot. It is absolutely natural to feel the pressure under certain situations. But those are the real winners who can keep calm under pressure. So of course he will have to learn how to control his emotions, especially in pressure situations. He will go a long way and he will also have a successful future as well. Being mentally strong is going to be the key for him.

Taylor Fritz had and unexpectedly close encounter with Marcos Giron at Geneva Open: 4:6 6:2 6:3.

Chilean Nicolas Jarry has benefited from the withrawal of Tallon Griekspoor and progressed into the quarterfinals (btw what happened to the Dutchman? I wasn't able to find any info on this online). He is going to meet nr1 seed Casper Ruud in the next round.
