And that would have won the bet, Djokovic win the match 6-3 and 6-4.
It is by far the best bet to take when thinking someone would have close match. +5.5 handicap is the only bet that guarantees you win if favorite does not make more than 2 breaks. All other versions or +4.5 handicap have ways of being annoyingly close but not good enough in the end. You just know you are loosing +4.5 handicap when favorite serves first. I like to eliminate stuff like that from my betting outcome even if it means lower base odds.
Good insight Trofo, thanks for that.
ALcaraz has posted a message on his Twitter account that he cannot participate in the Autralian Open. A pity for the tournament and for the organization, but also for himself. A fairly harmless movement has caused this injury. Since the Australian Open is not yet to start, it seems to be a fairly serious injury. Otherwise he would have had at least 1.5 weeks to recover and maybe longer. The way for other players is now open. I wonder how Djokovic will play. With the women it also takes some getting used to since Barty stopped last year. There seems to me only 1 person to be the real favorite for the title; the player who only won a lot last year.
This is some bad news for the tournament because we arent gonna see the no1 at the tournament. This will probobly mean that he will lose the first position aswell because he aint getting any points. Djokovic to win the title now looks even more realistic now that Alcaraz wont play on AO.
It's bad news for sure, I'm a bit worried that he is picking up injuries so early in his career.
Djokovic has beaten Medvedev and is into the final at Adelaide so yea it seems that he
is totally driven for this year, of course the 5 set matches are different but ATM he is performing
well.
With 1 top player missing in the AO so far it means there is one less threat for him.
