Anyone following the ATP Next Gen Finals?

I'm following, although I'm new to tennis betting, I must confess that I get sleepy when I tried to watch every tennis game, so for now I prefer to bet before the game starts and I'm not doing live bets

for today's games:

Matteo Arnaldi - Francesco Passaro

I think Matteo Arnaldi will win this game, bookmakers are also giving Matteo Arnaldi as a favorite and I saw some news and tennis analysis sites giving Matteo Arnaldi as a favorite, but this odd is still low and risky and that's why reason I won't bet, if today I were to make a multibet bet with absolute certainty that I would put Matteo Arnaldi in the my parlay

Brandon Nakashima - Jiri Lehecka

I also think that the favorite by the bookmakers will win, I mean Nakashima will win this game, from what I read of the performance of the two, I believe that Nakashima has a greater chance of being victorious

Jack Draper - Tseng Chun-hsin

I don't have much to say about this game, Jack Draper will win

Lorenzo Musetti - Dominic Stricker

Lorenzo Musetti will win that game, I'll still think if making a multibet bet with those 4 teams would be a good idea, I'll still think

I watched the match last night between Draper and Striker and Striker is seriously talented,
he beat Draper in 3 sets with 3 tie breaks 5-7, 5-7, 5-7.

I have a bet on Striker for today +3.5 @ 1.86.

Also on Nakashima to beat Lehecka today.

Passaro won against Matteo Arnaldi, honestly I thought Matteo Arnaldi would win, as I didn't bet so I didn't lose anything, but the people who bet on Matteo Arnaldi had a good profit because the odd was very good

Brandon Nakashima won as expected

Jack Draper won the game as expected

Lorenzo Musetti lost, to my surprise, the people who bet on Dominic Stricker managed to make a good profit because the odd was very good

about today's games of Nakashima to beat Lehecka, for me I also think that both of them will win without problems

^^ What do you think of Musetti's chances against Stricker? Not familiar with Stricker though. The current odds is for Musetti at -3.5 at 1.90. But Stricker at +3.5 seems to be the at 1.80. So really hard to bet on this one.

I might go with Nakashima against Lehecka here, -2.5 will be a great odd at 1.80 for me.

Best of luck everyone.

Well I thought Musetti would win, I was thinking of a 75% chance and a close win at that
so I did that +3,5 handicap on Striker.

After taking the first 2 sets and into the third set tie break I thought he was home and dry
but Musetti came back to level it 2 sets each, I knew my bet was safe then.

But Stricker won!

@Trofo - yes both players lost their cool, Musetti got a warning for it. The pressure was
building on Stricker as he failed to take the match in the third and fourth set tie breaks but
overall to me he looked more able to deal with what was going on than Musetti who
was fairly emotional.

I' going again today with wins for Nakashima and Stricker.

It is very difficult match to call, both players are very good when game goes according to their plan and prone to loosing their cool and gifting opponents when things don't go as planned. Musetti sort of showed some signs of progress on mental plan recently so I think he should be able to win tonight. I don't have a feeling for handicap in this next gen rules, so I avoid them and rather play set handicaps.

@aoluain
I was just thinking the same about Italian tennis today while watching Passaro - Arnaldi, both Italians, both very young and promising. And then you think about all the other Italian players at the moment like Sinner, Berettini, Musetti and Sonego. All in top 50 and all still quite young.

The Italian player is in a good condition and can perform a good tournament also because... he is playing at "home" here in Milano (Italy) Wink ....There is a lot of support for him even after the recent positive results...

I had a bet on Musetti yesterday and on Nakashima who had trouble getting past the
other Italian Arnaldo. Italian Tennis is very strong ATM.

I got an easy bet win on Musetti to win 3:0 and the odd of 2.00 was juicy. I think that he might go really far and even win the tournament. Lehecka also played great today had one bet on him aswell. I wouldnt be surprised if Nakashima goes really far

Anyone following the ATP Next Gen Finals?

First match is up and running between Lehecka and Passaro, 3 more to follow:

Musetti v Tseng
Arnaldo v Nakashima
Draper v Striker

For me there are 3 which stand out Nakashima, Draper and Musetti and I think Musetti
has a good chance of winning this, he is ranked #2.

It's so weird to me to read that people are disappointed with Đoković after losing the 3rd set in a final of an ATP1000 tournament against a certain top5 future player.

Đoković is 35 years old, it's so impressive on so many levels that he's still here fighting for trophies. What he, Federer and Nadal have done has somehow distorted our realities.

Rune played really well, deserved his win and showed once again that he's the future of tennis.
Yeah, same here, I'm not disappointed by the result, Rune has been playing good not just in this tournament, but in the last couple that he is in.

It just so happen that he has to face Djokovic, and we may have seen this version of Djokovic before, mentality prepared, winning the first set. But Rune has improved a lot and really be the future of tennis with Alcaraz. So another break out win for him, and I will not be surprised that this will not be his last. For Djokovic, a good maybe2-3 years that he can still play, nevertheless, the young guys are taking over now.

I think Djokovic has lost a bit of his stamina. Dropping out of the game for the vaccination story might not have done them only well. There is also this damage of the idea that Djoovic is invincible. He used to be that and his opponents lost their own belief during the games, but it is not that way anymore. Players like Rune or Alcaraz know that they will get their chance during the game and that Djokovic will make mistakes at some point, which for quite some time actually didn't happen and it was almost creepy to see Djokovic return impossible shots. In certain situations players benefit a lot from how they are perceived by their opponents and this perception actually changed. While everyone would have bet on Djokovic in essentially every single game, many would now risk a bet more and more often on his opponents.

@temple I’m one of those people who was disappointed with Djokovic, because he has set the bar high and whenever he fails to reach those standards then it’s normal for people like me to be upset. Furthermore Rune can’t let this victory get to his head, and now he has to work even harder and win more matches against big stars otherwise people will claim that he won by fluke.

Well done to Rune,
Youngsters are taking over the spotlight from the usual names we know. It was Alcaraz, now Rune, wondering who the next youngster will be. Rune really worked  hard to get this far to top 10 and it must have taken a lot of wits to play against an experienced player like Djokovic, someone who he has always been hearing his name. I will keep an eye on him and his performance as he makes progress in his career.

nope me neither, I'm not dissapointed at all, the next gen are gaining momentum and are
troubling the top 3 more and more. Djokovic, Nadal and Federer have had their time and
have done remarkably well out of it.

I can imagine if you had a MASSIVE bet on Djokovic to win that you would be dissapointed!

Yeah, it's interesting how in tennis in particular it really matters if you're at the same generation that some other amazing player.

I'm not sure who would win between all the top 1 players to be honest, there's some clear differences over the decades...

For example Pete Sampras vs Nadal or Federer, who would win?

Good games from Rune vs Djokovic, the first set was relatively easy for Djokovic but the second and third sets all became so difficult for him and Rune was able to end the match well and emerge as a champion, a young star and he deserved it.

Well done to Rune, that was a great match and the third set was quite intense and the last
game even more which lasted approximately 16 minutes.

I was happy when the Rune got to 3 sets in the third, it meant my bet was safe.

This guy is the real deal, let's see what he can do in the new year!

He now qualifies for two finals competitions, Next Gen finals and ATP Finals as first alternate.

He also hits the #10 position
Congrats on winning the bet. Not an easy thing to bet on Holger Rune when playing against Novak Djokovic. For someone it looks like a disappointment, but I had thoughts of Rune winning the match. He have emerged as a big star defeating Djokovic. He's not even 20 years of age which makes the Tennis occupied by a good list of young players. The new year events will be more interesting as the young generation will keep on progressing against the experienced ones.

@KennyR honestly I’m kinda disappointed with Djokovic, because in matches like these I expect him to crush the opponent and win easily. Furthermore now Rune needs to build on this victory, but at the same time I wouldn’t burden him with unnecessary expectations just yet because he’s young and he’ll develop further in the long run.
