After the surprising elimination of Nadal there could be another surprise today, Tsitsipas has now got the first set in the tie-break, but the game will take a long time, don't think that there will only be 3 sets, I think about 4 or 5 sets?

I'm half thinking of betting on Tsitsipas ahead of Djokovic, their head to head is 5-2 to
Djokovic so obviously Tsitsipas has beaten Djokovic as late as Rome last month.

Tsitsipas is building his aggression in matches is imo is really leading the field in
breaking the hold of the "Top 3". Yes as I type this I'm convincing myself to bet Tsitsipas.

I agree that Tsitsipas is a very good player but I don't think he is ready to win such an important tournament yet, GS.
In such important tennis matches, the most important thing is experience and psychological preparation, and here Djokovic has an obvious advantage.
Previous matches between the two of them will not matter here.
Tsitsipas has a great chance to replace the big three of world tennis and become the no.1 tennis player in the world in a few years, but I don't think his time has come yet.
This is his first GS final after all.

Yes, Tsitsipas might have a good chance against Djokovic. If there is a tournament wherein the young gen wanted to assert themselves, then this is one of them. I do hope that Tsitsipas will show and come fire with fire. He almost beat Djokovic in their last match if I'm not mistaken, he leads 1-0 and up in the second set, but due to the rain, it was suspended and when they come back, Tsitsipas lost all the momentum he had.

I'll probably go with Tsitsipas to outright win, ML, just a small bet as I can watch the game locally at 9:00 pm here.

For the sake on betting on a underdog, a live underdog here, yes Tsitsipas might pull one of the biggest upset in Roland Garros final.

But as what we have seen, Djokovic seems to be possessed in beating Nadal, it's going to be close, but I agree that Tsitsipas might win one set but that's it.

Over the past 15 years only two tennis players managed to win a SLAM final debut against an opponent who had already disputed. It happened to Juan Martin del Potro at the US Open 2009 against Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka at the 2014 Australian Open against Nadal.
Djovokic seemed too good against Nadal and I don't think Tsitsipas will be able to make it.

Tsitsipas is someone for the future. I think he is already at the top of the world, but is not constant enough and therefore Djokovic will win today. That Greek is someone to take into account in the future, he is on the rise in recent years and has already defeated several wealth toppers. Now he just has to try to stay consistent. Djokovic has a lot of experience, that could play a big role. Anyway, age can also do that and that is to the disadvantage of Djokovic and the wear and tear against Nadal can also have an influence.

I might go with Stepanos, I know it's a long shot but I'm pulling the trigger @3.45. And then +4.5, it's gonna be close so this is a good handicap bet for me. Goodluck to all bettors.
I'll go with Stepanos on some small stake multi just to try my luck. I don't like +4.5 handicap in BO5, the player often decides to let one set go and it screws all handicaps. I really like Stepanos to take at least one set and that will be my high stake bet. I hoped for odds around 1.6 but best I managed to find was @1.45.

I went with over 20.5 games in this one. That could be a winning choice even with 2 sets that go the distance and I am thinking this will be a 3 set match. Quite possibly needing extra games in the third before winner emerges.

Nice bet and easily won as Krejcikova won the title in 3 sets. Surprising names in the final, but this will probably happen more often as there is no one on the women side that can really dominate the field.

Didn't expect that Djokovic would win against Nadal and he is the favorite to win the title against tsitsipas.

Another good call by @Trofo. Krejcikova won it in 3. Ladies are really unpredictable, lucky for those who see Krejcikova winning the title for this year. Wonder though what is the outright odd for this one.

I mean have you guys compared Djokovic and Nadal faces after 4hrs of intense tennis?
There was no comparison! Djokovic is a machine of its own, a true one of a kind. Nadal should probably think of retiring: the moment he took oof his left shoe and socks I could see the guy was exhausted.
Djovokic should bring the Roland Garros home.

This was definitely the best match of Djokovic in his career at the tournament in Paris.
To beat the ''King of Paris'' in his tournament and so convincingly, only Djokovic can do that.
After easily losing a match against Nadal last year in Paris, I didn’t think Djokovic could come back this way and raise the level of his game so even Nadal has no chance against him.
Some of you are commenting that now Djokovic will be too tired and that he has no chance against Tsitsipas in the final.
Forget such a scenario, Djokovic has invested too much in this tournament and now he will not stop until he finally wins Paris.

Today's Women's Final, for both this is the first final in a Grand Slam event, so the chances of both are equal to be the first time Grand Slam champion and the odds are not that much different but Krejcikova is more favored to win by the bookies.

she looks like a favourite but don't forget that she had a tough match with Sakkari and also plays doubles. tomorrow she has another final.

Will Djokovic energy has been sapped on his match against Nadal, does he have strength physical and mentally to win against Tsitsipas?
Why is that even legit question? Tsitsipas also played a tough match and he needed 5 sets to finish it. Yes he had finished the job a couple of hours earlier but it is not like they are playing today. That one day of rest should make it a non issue.

I thought Nadal will clinch it when he was playing great towards the end of 3rd set but that lost tie break gave Djoko extra confidence and it showed in the last set.

That's what I'm saying, we really have to wait before jumping on the gun for a Nadal vs Tsitsipas in the finals. But it worth the money to watch those two great tennis, Nadal vs Djokovic match. And everything that Nadal throws, Djokovic responded with even greater shots.

Yes djokovic showed great performance yesterday and i think he was more motivated after last year loss 3 0 against nadal and i think tsitsipas has a great chance getting the trophy now compared to a final against nadal.

Congrats for Djoko for winning over Nadal 3-1.
The scores were 6-3,3-6,6-7,2-6.
A semi-final of an exceptional level. I honestly would not have thought that Nadal could lose on his land.
Hats off to Djokovic, we can only bow, respect, well done Thank you for this moment top-flight tennis! Nadal's third defeat at Roland Garros .
If Djoko continues with this beast mode he would demolish Tsitsipas. Only that playing this game for 4 hours plus could affect his strengh for Finals.
When Rafael Nadal won the first set easily i thought it was all too familiar situation as he is the king of clay and then Novak Djokovic played one of the best matches he played in the past two years especially the third set which was incredible and Novak Djokovic was able to come out on top and then easily win the final set and if he could perform the same way he will defeat Stefanos Tsitsipas and become the champion.

This was an amazing match a beast mode like you said from novak djokovic no one can ever defeat him when he is playing like this. They are on another level from all other players. If he plays again like this he will crush tsisipas for sure probobly in straight sets. I dont think it will effect much because tsitsipas played a 5 set match as well
Djokovic went Saiyan here, LOL, it was really impressive run and defeating the best clay court in Roland Garros. He came back from 1 set down and won 3 straight against Rafa, so what can we say. We haven't seen Rafa being dominated like this in clay, so this win is very special for him. ut he has to one more match, against the young gen, Tsitsipas, who he last defeat in their last clay court game.

Indeed, one of the best match we have seen in recent memories, Djokovic went into God mode here, 30 minutes for just 1 point? wow. I thought that Nadal will win this match, however, he seems to be out of gas in the first set and then Djokovic took over the last 3, amazing game.

Same with the Tsitsipas vs Zverev, Stepanos took the first 2 set and then Zverev comes back in the next 2.

So the stage is set, Tsitsipas vs Djokovic. I wanted for Tsitsipas to win, but it will be very hard if Djokovic is playing God mode now.
