Anyway, Sinner v Djokovic again. TBH I fear for Sinner, Djokovic is treating this as another record
which has to be broken. He is level with Federer on 6 Finals wins, he will want to beat that.
it will definitely be an epic match... one of the main reason is that Sinner is the first Italian tennis player to reach this milestone and in the event of victory he would reach a historic record also in terms of prize money won (over 4 million dollars).
last but not least, he is playing in Torino and italians love see other italians achieve such high results
Djokovic is always a "loose cannon", he will do everything to win I'm sure...
This time I saw more voices on this forum saying that Sinner probably has a great chance to win the game, but what can I say... Djokovic is Djokovic and he did everything to mute those voices and go in two straight sets. I also thought that this could very well go into a third set and I ask myself whether Sinner played worse than the last few days or whether Djokovic didn't take any prisoners from the first second to the last. If this was a three set game, it would look like Sinner may have been close and besides winning this tournament, I believe that Djokovic also wanted to let the pro-Sinner crowd know who the boss is. And he did.
Sinner definitely played worse today, how many unforced errors he committed? 20? 25? Anyway it was a lot. Djokovic's serve was flawless tonight. He also attacked Sinner's backhand quite aggressively. All in all the Serb deserved this win. I admire his ability to play at his age at the top level.
