Now Federer is already 39 so I sure this year he is not going to reach on top in any big tournament as he is struggling and Nadal and Djokovic both can stay for some time but as from these new generation players able to set they will rule because times never stop its going to happen in just very short period.

Even though Federer is 39, I still think he has a good chance of winning another grand slam. Look at Wimbledon last year, he even had 2 matchpoints against Djokovic.
He was struggling this Australian Open but was not 100% fit, especially in his match against Djokovic. The young generation is coming but I don't see anyone of these talents (such as Thiem, Medvedev, Zverev, Kyrgios) dominate ike Federer, Nadal or Djokovic have done in the past.

The big 3, specially Federer and Nadal and selectively picking tournaments they want to join that's why they have stayed long at their age. And I have said before, they have the mentality, not just the skills to really compete with the young generations of tennis players. Definitely, sooner or later the young guys are going to catch up with them, but for now, we need to see the young generations proved it this year specially in grand slams.

I will certainly take alot to overcome the three tough guy but if we check closing the performance of the tennis players (Thiem, Zev etc) these days the day everything will change is approaching and i also believe most tennis fans also want a new face to be number 1 in the men side.

Thiem vs Nadal was a great match also, this young fella upset Nadal in the Quarter-Finals so it makes me think that he can compete with the elite and in fact he showed his heart out getting ahead in the match, but Novak was just too clever and too smart, he knows when to attack and get this win.

Clever, too smart and on a different level that's why it's very very difficult to beat Novak at this point. Who would have thought that he can make that remarkable comeback? There was some controversy though, when he was taking medical timeouts in crucial parts of the game, but I don't think he do it to break Thiem's momentum.

Djokovic is just unstoppable when it comes to the Australian Open, he is always ready and up for the challenge which is why he has now won 8 Australian Open titles. Like you and I have been saying in here for over a year now, Djokovic will most likely be the greatest grand slam winner in history as he is almost certain to now pass Nadal and Federer and we may not see another Man do this for a very long time. If Djokovic can do what he did last year then he will be just two off from Federer, I'm thinking that Nadal might equal Federer on 20 grand slam titles with the French Open as he is very hard to beat. Djokovic still at least has 3-5 years if he is able to stay fit and healthy. It was looking good for Thiem but again when he is in front of the match he isn't able to go on with it and win. We have also been saying this in here for the past two years about him, I just hope that one day he can get it right and win a grand slam. Congrats to Djokovic on once again winning the AO.

Correct, I'm glad you mentioned it, I think Australian Open is one of the best tournaments that Djokovic really excel throughout his career. We have so many discussions in the last two years and still no one can break him in this tournament. So we know that he still has a lot of years ahead of him, compare to Nadal so breaking Federer's record is really within sight of him. Again, Thiem has the chance, but still not there to the levels of the big three as he melted again in the pressure of big events such as this. For sure Thiem will have this time raising the AO trophy in the coming years as he mature and have that experience under his belt.

Djokovic is a great tennis player, He is the first tennis player that can win Grand Slam tittle in 3 different decade, and now He is in first rank replaced Nadal place.
What I saw on match is this is the first time (if I'm not mistaken) Djokovic able to turn things around and win the match, I almost chose not to continue watching the match in third set because I saw the match which no longer interesting but really beyond the usual, sets 4 and 5 returned to a tight match between the two players.
Soon Thiem will able to win the Grand Slam title

I was thinking Thiem can win but after watching this final now I am sure Djokovic is really machine he can stay here in tennis for some more years and this new generation need something special to beat this insane robot what a player and what a human he deserve to be world greatest players.

Of the big 3, Novak is somewhat the youngest so probably he can stay a bit longer than Federer and Nadal and probably will go on to break Federer's GS record. Mental toughness is what really separates the elite tennis player to the young players we have right now. This is Thiem's 3rd attempt and failure to win a GS, but I'm sure he will be back hungry.
