Monfils vs Berrettini was a classic five set match. I got a feeling that we will see someone new raising the trophy this year. But Nadal is just too good or just got a lucky draw that's why he is still the last man standing amongst the big 3.

Yeah Nadal and Dmitrov are the last two of the older players, I just wonder could we see a final between the two young talent? Matteo Berrettini has had a good tournament however he hasn't played anyone who was seeded where as Medvedev has so Nadal will be a big test for Berrettini and we'll see how good he is when playing a top player. Its going to be an interesting end to this years US Open, even on the Women's side.

Nadal play very good and now just Medvedev has ability to stop him from being a champion no other players can stop him but I am feeling Medvedev is also not good enough but we will watch some very good and exciting matches as we have some very good and talented players in both Semi Finals Berrettini was really good against Monfils and deserve this win.

I don't usually bet on Tennis, I like watching it though, but since we football fans don't have much to do for the next few days, I thought i'd try my luck in the is the US open last night and this is what happened:

After the first two games I immediately regretted making that bet LOL Nadal smelled blood and the little guy was bound to be his prey. I ended up falling asleep but i kinda knew what the outcome was going to be, still, i checked this morning to see if by some miracle Diego was able to defeat Nadal but...nope.

Looking forward to 'Svitolina vs Williams' tonight.

I am expecting final between Medvedev and Nadal. Platform is very wide open for Medvedev now since he is not going to face Federer. One can argue that Dmitrov can beat Medvedev and I agree but it's the name and pressure of playing a player like Federer is no more there for Medvedev.

Dmitrov done very good job and I watch all match he was really on target but in next Medvedev its very tough match as Medvedev is not easy man to beat we will watch very exciting and good match between two good players and now time for big three to throw rackets as now just Nadal is in and two already down and out.

You know, I said for years that Fedex has got one last Grand Slam in him and he's proven me right a few times now. But I wonder if 21 is one too far away? Time to start betting on the underdog against him in future tourneys. Love the guy, but his earlier scare was probably the writing on the wall warning us his time is finally about to come to a close.

Getting nervous on the Federer vs Dmitrov final set Dmitrov led 2-0 but Federer is serving. I have a bet on Federer on this one, lol. Medvedev showing how good he really was, I though Wawrinka is going to stop his giant run however, this kid is too good at this point.

Medvedev was booed just like we saw in the Wimbledon final with Djokovic being booed. It only made Medvedev more determined to win the match which he did in four sets and has now made his first ever Grand Slam semi-final. However Medvedev does look to be carrying some minor injuries as he admitted that he has been sore through out the tournament so far and has been taking a lot of painkillers to help him get through. So it will be interesting to see how he goes up against Federer or Nadal as they can exploit this.

Federer faces Dimitrov in just over an hour from now which should be a great match, Federer should get the win and advance into the semi-final however Dimitrov has been playing some good tennis in this tournament so I wouldn't count him out and cause an upset.

Maybe its time for her to take a break and come back better and stronger next year.

I really thought that this US Open could be another break through performance for her. Sadly, she could be one of those on the women's side that once reached the top spot, their careers went South.

Medvedev vs Wawrinka is surely the toughest Quarterfinals of this tournament. Medvedev is reaching his high form while wawrinka has been struggling for quite a time now. So, things would be in favor for Medvedev. Of all the quarterfinalist, I'd consider Medvedev and Federer to have the highest probability of wining the grand slam. So, the semis between the winner of this match and Federer may decide the winner of US Open.

I think that this grand slam can be last chance for Federer because obviously he has the ''Djokovic complex''.
Now, without him, it's his big chance to win the grand slam tournament after very long time and I'm sure he will do his best.
Medvedev and Nadal are his most dangerous competitors now.

As you already saying now all set for Medvedev I am also feeling now this all platform is set for him as Djokovic is out of tournament and no one can stop him until final but still some upsets can happen as we have in women's two top orders out of tournament and now this is wide open for some good and talented players.

Yeah Krygios was playing good but then his mind set changed and started saying that he doesn't want to be here and that his eyes were sore from playing call of duty lol. I must say that Krygios is good for the entertainment when watching him but I do wish that one day he can keep calm and maybe win a Grand Slam as he has all the talent in the world to be a top player.

Zverev will actually play Diego Schwartzman so he can make the quarter finals and could be a big danger to Nadal, Federer and Djokovic. Alex de Minaur
was simply outclassed by Dimitrov losing in straight sets. Now we will start to see which young talent can make it through to the finals.

Yeah, not good for Kyrgios. I did not watch the match but looking at scoreboard it's clear that both player did not lose any of their service in the first two sets. Losing in tie breaker is always frustrating. And since it happened twice with Kyrgios, I think he was broken inside for this and the result was not doing much (only lost one service) in the 3rd set.

Anyway, Federer vs Goffin is under way. The next match I will be following is: Koepfer vs Medvedev
