I've had an amazing betting day at tennis as well. A lot of fun too, who doesn't love drinking a good pilsner while watching the game and having bets on?  Cheesy

Thiem, Chardy and Carreno Busta were my solo picks for today and they've all won. Carreno had a quite a easy match, but I can't say the same for the other two and especially Chardy who had Evans D. as opponent. This later one is known for his powerful serves. Quite hard to make a break against him.

Are you guys watching this final between Thiem and Tsitipas? Absolutely great tennis, these guys have all the shots in the book and aren't afraid to use them. I really hope Thiem will manage to win second set and take the match into decider. It is very entertaining stuff and I don't want it to end.
No, really. I was just shocked by the final match in Tokyo where Milman, who is in an excellent physical fit, could not even take a break point from the Djokovic serve. Yes, Serb is still beautiful on the back line, but strong serving of Australian could give a chance at least for a tie-break. Poor match for tennis lovers...

Today was a tennis day for me and I watched and placed bets on all three finals. Djolovic match was by far least interesting and the only one where I lost the bet. I had 5.5 handi on Milman.

Osaka vs. Barty was good at times and I was happy since I had Osaka to win and it was quite clear that she is getting more and more points as the match progressed.

Thiem vs. Tsitiapas was the match of the week for me. So much great points that I watched 3rd set even though my bet (over 23.5 games) passed as soon as Thiem won the 2nd set.

As expected, Osaka beat the defending champion C. Wozniacki in straight sets, 6 6-4 6-2 in just under 90 minutes. Osaka is back, she regain her form so let's see if he can win back to back titles here. But its going to be a test as she will be facing womens number 1 Ashleigh Barty who won against a tough Kiki Bertens. So this is going to be another good finals.

Well my boy Tsitsipas needed all the tools to beat Zverev, save 3 consecutive match points in the first set and then leads the second 5-1. However Zverev comeback, but Tsitsipas was enough room to wiggle.

Tsitsipas vs Thiem in the finals. Thiem won against Khachanov, but it was not that easy though. He lost the first set 2-6, but eventually won a grueling match 2-6, 7-6(5), 7-5.

Your boy made it to the final my friend, now it makes us think we should of put money on him to win the China Open but on he's recent form it was hard to say how well he will play. Its interesting to see that two players from early in the year are back in top form, Osaka from the Women's side and Tsitsipas on the Men's side. They are both going to be great finals to watch.

If I'm not in tight sport right now, I could have throw money in the beginning of this tournament to Stefanos. But I'm happy to see him in the finals again and I'm sure that this will be great match to watch as Thiem is already looking good at this tournament.

Naomi Osaka just needed one win to get her confidence back and facing Barty will be a big test, after all Barty took the number 1 spot from here so there could be some sort of revenge and "I told you so" attitude.

It looks like Murray's steps will be halted in this round, at this time he has lost in the first set with a score 2-6. Second set has also lag behind with score 2-3.
Everything is still possible to change but it is difficult to see the score as well as the opponents he faces are the firat seed in this tournament.
Khachanov advance to semis after won against Fognini.

Edited: Final score Murray lose against Thiem.

Murray played very well despite the fact he’s not played in a while due to his injury, I knew he would not win but he impressed me with his performance. Also Murray will now be playing in Shanghai Open after he accepted a wildcard entry, it’ll be interesting to see how he performs there.

He is still on the adjustment period, and him reaching as fas as quarter finals is already an accomplished. His getting there slowly so there's nothing to be ashamed on losing to Dominic Thiem.

Maybe in the next tournament, he can exceed his last performance and getting in the groove and reach the finals, he still has it, I believed, just a matter of time before he can get back to his old self and play high level tennis again.

Today in Beijing, world # 1 tennis player will try to break into her first hardcourt tournament final after a triumph at Roland Garros. Her rival Bertens unexpectedly won the last match against Ukrainian top tennis player Svitolina. What are your opinions on today's WTA semifinal in China, guys? It seems that Barty begins slowly but confidently playing her best game after a triumphant spring.

I thought Rublev would of giving more of a fight against Fognini as he was been in top form recently but it was the case here as Fognini won easily. The main match I'm interested in is the Tsitsipas match as he should win but he hasn't been in good form lately so I'm just not sure what to expect in this match. The Thiem and Murray match will be interesting as if Murray can win, it will give him huge confidence going into the semi-final and maybe give him the confidence to win this tournament, now that would be something special for him after being down for so long with injuries.

Yup, Rublev didn't offer any, perhaps it was just an off night for him.

Tsitsipas won but not after losing the first set against Basilashvili. Zverev won in two set against Felix Auger Aliassime. I thought Felix would give Zverev a run here, I guess Felix is still young and seems can't get the hump when facing rank opponents.

Querrey vs Diego Schwartzman was a thriller specially the first two sets.

On the womens side, Osaka beat Riske, will then face Andreescu in the quarter finals, this is a match I wanted to see. Osaka seems to be playing great lately so let's see how she will fare against Bianca here.

Yes my friend, this is what worries me with Tsitsipas as he lost the first set but did fight back strong to win the match. I'm thinking that if he plays one of the other top seeds that he can't start off like this as there might not be any coming back from. I'll just leave betting on him for now until we see him back to he's best like he was at the start of the year. The next match is against Isner which might be a challenge for him so its going to be a good match to see. Have you put a bet on Tsitsipas to win this tournament?

Wasn't able to bet on him as well. He beat Isner though, 7-6, 6-3.

Unfortunately, Thiem put an end on Murray's dream, Andy did try his best on the second set, but Thiem played very well. So it will be Thiem vs Khachanov on the first bracket of the semis and then Tsitsipas vs Zverez.

While on the womens' side, Osaka who beat Andreescu vs C. Wozniacki (surprisingly) and then Barty vs Bertens.

It was good to see Tsitsipas win in straight sets, the first set was a hard fought battle but once he got through, it was an easy second set win for him. Now the big test will come as he must face Zverev however I think Tsitsipas is in with a big chance to beat Zverev because to be honest both of these players haven't been in good form recently so any one of them can win I think. By the way Murray said that he can keep improving which is a good sign for him not going to retire just yet and hopefully we see him play on next year.

Just watching Andrescu vs. Osaka, it is very entertaining match with both girls having good and bad spells of the game. I made a nice bet on her when she was 5:1 down in the first set so I am hoping she will manage to win this one.

Good for you, she was able to overcome the first set and won the game eventually.

Probably we will see them play more often in the future.

Quote
Per Andreescu:

I said, Congrats, you played amazing.

She said, You're amazing.

I said, We're going to have so many more matches like this. I can't wait to see what the future holds.

She's like, Yup, I'm excited.

Those ladies are really enjoying themselves and I'm glad as tennis fans we appreciate those rivalries because it really great to witness them.
This was very entertaining and good match as Osaka lost first set I was not expecting fight like this from her but she is really good player and capable of become world number #1 again in future and Andrescu is also very good and she still need to learn many things in future as she is also good arrival in ladies tennis.

Did someone here watch Osaka actually play this weak? She has great results and if she also passed the "eye test" I would back her up without second thought. Andrescu is very good, she played unbelievable 49 matches on hard court this year and won even more unbelievable 45 of them, but if Osaka managed to get back to her very best levels she is clear favorite for me no matter who stands on the opposite side of the pitch.

Naomi won last week or a few weeks back the Pan Pacific open, so she is riding the momentum so I wouldn't be surprised if she can won against Andreescu. I think dropping the number 1 this year motivates here. And maybe she has regain some form that made here win the US Open last year.

So definitely, she is going back to his best tennis again. Haven't check the odds but if it is attractive then I could give her a bet.
Right now both players full of energy and hunger of win this is very good match as Andreescu won US Open just few weeks ago and Osaka lost his No 1 spot both need win and right now Andreescu is very good but any result can happen odds are @0.90 for both and I am feeling Andreescu will win this match.
