I can give you a recent observation. How many of us wait for a women tennis match now a days. There were time when we waited to see Martina Hingis, Maria Sharapova, Anna Kournikova, Serena Williams, Venus Williams.

I read the article a clever way to make the article go viral using controversy, it’s a common strategy used these days. I had even forgotten her name till I read the article, while she definitely didn’t influence the sport she has won a doubles tournament. I won’t condem her for her choice, if I remember right in those days she was getting quiet a lot of attention so getting into modeling was a logical choice.

As far as I can remember, she really did good on doubles tournament, but singles was horrible for her as she has to keep with other ladies during his prime. So I guess she just decided to stick to her second choice, which is modelling or appearing in music videos with Enrique Iglesias (that I can remember) lol.

I didn't read the article but I don't know how Anna K. influence tennis in a positive way? Well she burst into the scene and everybody loves her because she has the talent. But maybe when she realise that she can make more money without exerting any effort by just go modelling, then her talents started to went from good to worst and thats it. That's exactly what I'm waiting for my friend. Its always a long break between Grand Slams once the Australian Open is finished, I believe its the longest wait as the French, Wimbledon and US Grand Slams are close together and in between them we have the Masters tournaments. I guess in a way it gives the top players time to rest up and get ready for all of these GS.

Thank you, I have no doubt that tennis could involved something fishy from behind, but yeah it's really hard to point fingers without proof for top rank players. I have to read the links though and see how deep this match-fixing around the tennis circles.

I'm not betting on small and lesser known tournaments though, and I wouldn't after I read the reports.

This is why I never bet on these tournaments as they are hard to predict even if the top players are playing as they might not even be playing at their best. I really believe that the top players just use these tournaments to keep their fitness up ready for the major tournaments like the Masters and Grand Slams.

Yup, that's correct my friend. Usually high rank players doesn't give their 100% with this kind of tournaments. It will be a bonus is they won, however, they wanted treated this like a tune up match or something.

This is so true. Even in the Montpellier tournament Goffin went down in straight sets which he normally doesnt do in the higher ranking tournaments.
And I wouldnt doubt there is match fixing going on in these smaller opens.

It happens buddy , don't feel bad . Just forget about it and concentrate on betting for next match , usually tennis involves minimum risk when compared to other sports for betting but well nothing is assured .

Sorry to hear that mate, I thought he had gained the momentum and thought that he can extend it to a third set but Maden was too much for him. Anyways, this is just minor setback you can go back the next day and recover what you have lost today.
