Roger Federer - 20 majors
Nadal - 17
Djokavic - 15

Do you guys think that Nadal or Djokavic will be able to reach Roger Federer's majors record by the end of their careers?
Djokovic seems to be making up ground and bringing a serious stance on his tennis to higher level once again.
As with Nadal he has been slowing down. I dont know if he is injured or it is just him aging not as well as federer but you know something is not right with him since his last game ending in a loss so early on in the tournament.

Another title for Federer but Tsitipas played really good match today. He was matching Federer stroke for stroke except in first and last service games where he was a bit shaky and Federer took advantage of it. This was the best match I watched this season and I believe we will see both of these players in later stages of the tournaments this year.

Congrats to Federer he entered the tournament slowly but finished it superbly Smiley

Roger Federer never ceases to amaze us all. I would say that he took the young Tsitipas to school today. Although he was able to match Federer, at the end of the day, Federer's experience was too much. And I don't think that this lost will put a tool on the kid. Playing Federer in a finals is almost like giving you experiences, so I hope Tsitipas learn a lot from his lost and will take this as a challenge for him to become the next tennis star in the future.

Edit: In about 10 hours or so, it's going to be Zverev vs Krygios for the Acapulco Open. This is going to be a good match for sure.

Well Roger shows us who is the 'Maestro', hehehe, he outclassed Coric, who we thought will give Federer a run for his money but it was too easy for him. Roger is like having a second win with his drop shots. So now we will history history unfolds between Roger and the kid Tsitsipas. Federer is looking for his 100th ATP title and eight in Dubai, while Tsitsipas is gunning for his first Dubai title.
Yh it was a poor show from Coric. I think I will better say Roger played very well. He used his experience and was calm.

I am with Roger today however I may wait to place a bet for him. The odd is only 1.33 for Roger. I will find a good in play odd, most probably if Roger lose a serve. If I do not get a better odd then I won't bother to bet in this match.

Not going well at all. Now I need a great set from Coric to have any chance of winning the bet. Federer played his game. Some spectacular points, few cheap presents but Coric made too many unforced errors. Hope he can tighten his game.
Coric is struggling I think. Roger is using his experience. Again Coric  down. He lost his first serve. Not good for us betters LOL

Edit:
Look at the odd now for Coric : 14.75
The odd I got was 2.90 only hehe

I am watching the match and so far most of the points are won on unforced errors. Hope it will get a bit better or at least that Coric will. I have a bet on him as well but with the handicap of -3.5.
Can you give me some good links to study handicap betting please. I really get confused to understand it. I see people use it quite often but I feel helpless because of not knowing the bet details.

This 1st set is not going well for Coric. He is down by 1 - 4

Coric vs Federer match, I am having a feeling that Coric will win. I even placed a small bet for him with the winning from Tsitsipas vs Monfils. Let's see if I win this hehe

Edit: Coric just lost a serve though. But I hope he comes back.

Yes.

Just look at the score

It was a long three hours match. Both player played very well. I felt the hit in every point. The first set was ordinary but the 2nd and 3rd set was extra ordinary. Every points were putting pressure to the other side. There were several chances for both Tsitsipas and Monfils to break but every time they held the serves in the 3rd set. It was an excellent match to watch.

Hahaha. I knew my boy Tsitsipas is going to pull through he was down in the second set but was able to win the set in the tie-break. Went on another tie-break winner in the 3rd, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7 score. Wow, I thought Monfils are going to steam roll him in the second set, but he came back very strong and never wilted under pressure. Coric vs Federer just started.

Although Monfils got the first set I believe that Tsitsipas will win the match . I am gonna take a risk and place a bet now . Although he is talented , he is struggling in this tournament a bit Tsitsipas , maybe he should take a break after this tournament.
2nd set tie break. Not sure which direction will the set go. If Tsitsipas lose the tie break then he lose the match with my small bet LOL

Edit: He just lost the 1st point which he was serving LOL

edit again: Finally won the set after a good tie break. I hope Tsitsipas keeps this pace to win the next set too.

Same here mate, I stand with my prediction that Coric has a high chance to beat Roger and then Tsitsipas over Monfils. Let's see how it goes.  Grin
I risked some money for Tsitsipas let's see how it goes. I would like to see him in the Semi. Although Tsitsipas is down by 4 - 3 and Monfils is going to serve.

Wasn't able to watch the Acapulco Open because of time difference but Quarter-Finals is already done.

Kyrgios vs Wawrinka. Nick won again, 7-5, 6-7, 6-4. Two of my favorites face each other, De Minaur vs Zverev, with Zverev winning 6-4, 6-4. And then Isner vs Millman, one of the best QF match so far, with Isner coming on top, 7-6, 6-7, 7-6. While Norrie beat McDonald 6-3,6-2. So it's going to be Kyrgios vs Isner, (this will be epic) and then Norrie vs Zverev on the other draw.

Guys Tsitsipas vs Monfils in about 15 minutes in Dubai hard.
As I predicted yesterday, my pick is Tsitsipas to win and to face either Coric or Federer
After seeing Coric's win yesterday I am thinking Coric has more chances to face Tsitsipas. What do you think?

Did anyone just see the epic match between Nadal and Kyrgios? I'm still amazed at what just happened in this 3+ hour match. Kyrgios showed what he is capable of when he is in top form coming from 3-6 down in the third set tiebreak and saving three match points to beat Nadal 3-6, 7-6, 7-6 to reach the quarter finals in Acapulco. I just wish Kyrgios plays like this all the time and like I said in previous posts I'm hoping that it is this year he finally gets his mentality right because he has shown that he can beat the best and can potentially be one of the greatest players.

That's what we have been talking about Nick since last year. He really has the potential to be number but he needs to change a lot specially his attitude, but a win is a win and we can't take anything away from him. He was down or saved three match points and win against Rafa. Well there was some instances wherein he wanted to quit and then verbally telling the crowd to shut up, LOL, typical Nick. But the needs to mature, otherwise it will be another wasted talent in the center court.

Yes we have been talking about Kyrgios for months now about his attitude and his mentality. Did you also noticed that Nadal was quick to get off court, that was the quickest hand shake I have ever seen from Nadal as he didn't look too happy. The crowd also gave it to Kyrgios booing him maybe because of what he said to the crowd but that is just how Kyrgios is and I think he brings a lot of entertainment to tennis.

Yeah, Nadal was really pissed off against Kyrgios, at the post match interview, Rafa says that Nick is very disrespectful. So I'm not surprised by Nadal's attitude at the end of the match. Maybe it got to his nerve as well that's why he losses this one.

Quote
Nick Kyrgios defeated Rafael Nadal in Acapulco but upset the Spaniard along the way, prompting criticism at a post-match news conference.

Rafael Nadal accused Nick Kyrgios of lacking respect after he was beaten by the Australian at the Mexican Open.

The Spaniard added: “He lacks respect for the public, the opponent and himself.”

https://www.foxsportsasia.com/tennis/atp-tour/1049817/nadal-questions-kyrgios-disrespectful-attitude-after-acapulco-upset/

But Nick answer back and says:

Quote

“I’m different, Rafa is different,” Kyrgios said. “He can focus on what he needs to do. He doesn’t know the journey I’ve been through, he doesn’t know anything about me. I’m not going to listen at all.

“That’s the way I play. That’s the way he plays. He’s very slow between points and the rule of the book says you have to play at the speed of the server. Rafa has the speed every time.

Watched the federer match in the last set and he did look shaky and didnt know if he would beat a streaking fucsovics but he managed to pull one out of the fire with another win. This entire tournament he has been struggling and not in his normal roger fashion.
Coric is doing it again with not looking so good in the first set but then beating up his opponent in the second.
He was looking strong in the third set but basilashvili has come back to make it 5 -5 in the final set.
He isnt a bad player and plays alot more subtle then coric does.
Finally coric won. It was a very good match. both Coric  and Basilashvili gave everything to win the match but eventually Basilashvili had to surrender in the tie break.

I am starting to think that may be Coric will do the same against Federer. Who knows.

As I have predicted Coric is going to win against Basilashvili. Yes he gave the first set, but he went on to lead the second 4-0 before winning 6-2. But the 3rd set was different, it was a hard fought set and yes both of them really gave everything they have to get to the semis but Coric took the tie-break. As I have said, Coric might pull some upset against Roger in the semis. Monfils vs Tsitsipas on the other side of the bracket, I have Tsitsipas here to win.
