Today we also saw bowling from the Pakistan bowlers. Naseem Shah finally gets a chance to bowl. Remember he is doing this bowling against Bangladesh, the team that is his favourite because he played his first test match against them and did a hat trick on it, which is the record that has made by him in ICC to do hattrick as the most youngster. The first two overs overview from the Shaheen and Naseem. I am highlighting these two overs because these two were amazing. At the first Shaheen was putting pressure by giving the swings that were unplayable at times.

Too early to predict anything like this. Jamie Smith has showed a lot of promise. But then, this is just his 4th test match and he can't even be compared to Jonny Bairstow who has 100 test caps to his name. But age is on his side. Bairstow is almost 35, while Jamie is just 24. Anyway, England is leading by 23 runs, with the loss of 6 wickets. Surprised by the Lankans. They are fighting to the tooth and nail. It is better to gather as many runs as they are coming and make the test match secure for them.

Yes you are right buddy and this is not a easy task to set such a strong scores on their first inning and now total two days were successfully played and as well first inning of Pakistan A was also completely played. Earlier wickets of Pakistan A squad did not display strong performance and their batters quickly lost their wickets at low scores and their was the good sign of Bangladesh A squad but these batters Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel build a very strong batting partnership as well long lasting. The match has slipped out of Bangladesh's hands. Pakistan setup a huge total of 448/6d. And remember that this was after getting reduced to 16/3. They were in big trouble after Babar Azam got out. The match between England and Sri Lanka is being quite competitive. I was actually expecting a one sided match, after watching how the Lankans performed during the warmup matches. But they managed to post a very competitive first innings total of 236, and now England are trailing by 70 runs with 4 of their batsmen back in the pavilion. There is still a chance that Sri Lanka may end up with a first innings lead. England were 125/4, but then the partnership between Jamie Smith and Harry Brook somewhat stabilized the innings.

Shakib Babu is a curious case. I don't think he even wants to play test cricket and to me, these days he looks like a lousy imitation of his goated past. Atm there is no bite on the wicket, still kudos to BAN's opener for handling a tricky 1 hour situation against a quality seam attack but Pakistan needs only a couple of good spells from Shaheen and Naseem and if somehow reverse swing comes into play then a big lead is a surety. I hope there are no rain interruptions in the next 3 days otherwise we are heading for a frustrating draw.
