Anyways a good come back from PAK, currently, SL are struggling for 132/5. This is a lost game for SL. I am sure that PAK will win this one given that we still have 90+ overs left.

Finally Pakistan declared their second innings for 555 runs and the top four have scored a century each and this is one of the best performance by the Pakistan top order in a very very long time as i do not remember the last time they played like this and these sort of performance will boost their confidence in the coming matches and hopefully they would perform well as a team, so now they are not worried about a defeat as Sri Lanka will be trying for a draw as the total is impossible to achieve.

The lead for Pakistan team is now 474 and I think Pakistan should declare now and get SL all out as quickly as possible . Chasing 400+ in fourth innings is not going to be easy and with this currently Pakistan is just using the time which ideally SL should be batting .

The opening stand by Abid Ali and Shan Masood added a massive 278 runs. To be more precise, that was 87 runs more than the Pakistani total for the first innings. Right now they are leading by 315 runs. My guess is that they will try to add another 150-200 runs during the first session, to take the lead somewhere around 500. And that will be an impossible target for the Sri Lankans. I checked the weather predictions for Karachi, and they are saying that there is 0% chance of rain, for today and tomorrow.

400 up for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in Karachi. After Shan Masood and Abid Ali gave an awesome start to the opening, Babar Azam and the captain Azhar Ali seem to be continuing from where the openers left. This should be an easy win for Pakistan, until and unless Sri Lankans pull out a miracle.

The big question is when should Pakistan declare today ? After Lunch or take some more time and play the first two sessions. But that would lead only 4 sessions for the bowlers to bowl srilanka out. Batting conditions looks good now and how will pitch play on the last day? A lot of thinking to be done by the think tank sitting in the pavilion.

Would this be a miracle ? The way Pakistani started this test match no one would have thought they could be in such a commanding position. I just could not believe what happened at the field today. The unbeatable first wicket record partnership is a treat to watch. After a long time, Pakistan batsmen have shown great batting display in a test match.

I always thought that home team and home crowd are enough for a team to perform like this and make a comeback. Perhaps this is want happen with them. Also we cannot rule out the Srilankan team as it look like the pitch is also become easy and a batting paradise. Srilanka could also take advantage of this pitch and push the match towards a draw which seems unlikely at the present moment.

It is a complete turn of events, from conceding a first innings lead then having an opening partnership of 278 runs is just incredible, now they can bat freely in the fourth day and now they are having a healthy lead of over 315 runs and if they will add 60 odd runs then they must declare the innings and put pressure on the Sri Lanka players and see whether they can win the match.

You are not aware of what salary other head coaches are taking and therefore you feel this amount big. In the new contract, Ravi Shastri is getting more than three/four times which Misbah is getting. Cricket is a commercial game and there is a lot of money involve in it for the players and the coaches.

Pakistan has turned the tables in this match and once again proved they are unpredictable. Once looking to score 200 runs by the whole team look a cumbersome task and now the two openers only are headed to make the double century partnership. Are we still gonna see the twist in this match ? Suddenly this match has turned out to be an interesting one.

Pakistan has made 133 for no loss and they are leading now by 53 runs which is a good thing . This means that their is a high chance of Pakistan putting a score of 300+ runs and chasing for SL might not be that easy unless SL can get Pakistan all out quickly .

Abid Ali and Shan Masood have started well for Pakistan, but they are still trailing by 2 runs. This is the third day of the match, and therefore we are sure about getting a result either way. If the middle order batsmen such as Azhar Ali, Babar Azam and Asad Shafiq could add another 250-300 runs, then Pakistan will be having a realistic chance of a victory here. And it looks like the Sri Lankan spinners (especially Lasith Embuldeniya) are not getting any special assistance from the pitch.

There is three more days for this test and Pakistan started well in the second innings and if they are able to build partnership then they will have a fighting chance to have some authority in the match as Pakistan is struggling and the local media is against them and the amount of pressure they are having to perform to save their face is really high and i hope they will bat well in the second innings considering the pressure the team is under.

Pakistan should easily be able to score 300+ runs because thier opening batman’s have provided them a strong start, and they have currently scored 112 runs without loosing a wicket and have established a lead of 32 runs. If Srilanka really wishes to stay in this game then they badly need to take wickets, otherwise they’ll loose this match by a huge margin as I’m pretty sure their batting lineup will crumble under pressure while chasing a huge target.
