South Africa is closing in on a test series win. Sri Lanka is under a ton of pressure considering the huge target while the Proteas look like they might end up winning this one pretty comfortably.

Most credit goes to Bavuma and Jansen who performed really well throughout this series though I dislike both of them. Looks like Aus vs RSA WTC final loading.
I don't think it's going to be easy for the Proteas Sri Lankan are doing good job and have 60 for 2, so things are well-balanced we can expect this as going to be narrow chase for both sides.
Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal well experienced players on crease and doing their best for having good end of this match for their team we have 34 overs remaining in days play and this is going to be important for both sides who will hold advantage this session will be decided about this match.

Australia's dominant performance in second test match, winning by a huge ten wickets Victory over India. Australia bowling performance is outstanding especially Pat Cummins bowling performance is amazing picked five wicket haul in second inning and all out India at 175 runs, 5 runs short from the first inning runs. India only give a lead of 18 runs in the second inning, and Australia chased down a very low target of 19 runs without losing any wickets. The Player of the match goes to Travis Head for playing a extraordinary inning scored 140 runs, just missed his well deserved 150 by 10 runs short but helped the Australia to level the 5 matches series with 1-1.

In the first innings of Australia, I became a fan of Mitchell Starc's bowling. Before this spell, I took him lightly because of the last match and thinking that he will do good bowling but could not did magical bowling spell as he used to do before.
He proved me clearly wrong. But in the first innings, he took 6 wickets and also a little bit of good bowling and pressure bowling by Pat Cummins picked 2 wickets in the first time but when when he got chance to bowl for the second time then took 5 wickets and out all of the Indian batsmen in both innings.

We have well-balanced batting from South Africa in second inning as they were able to score 317 and also give good target of 348 to Sri Lanka for win in this second match and came on level in this series now it's Sri Lankan batting how they will be response because their batting is good but having target like this in fourth inning has never been easy.

Both teams are on good level as both are doing good job in this series South African taking good advantage of home conditions but Sri Lanka always having good spirit also giving them good resistance chase for the win in this test is already started but not good for the Sri Lanka as Rabada take early wicket of Karunaratne which is big below for the Sri Lanka in this chase.

New-look England looking promising in this series against New Zealand which recently have success in India but here at home against England they are badly down and out of contest after losing first test fans were hoping for their fightback, but we have England in strong position even in winning position after having 533 lead and Joe Root and Ben Stoke still on crease as both can extend their lead which could be all end of the Kiwis because with the current batting performance things are looking not good for them.

England's team has won the second match by 323 runs, this is such a massive victory for them. England's batting is so strong and we saw that in both innings. Harry Brook made 123 in the first innings and 55 in the 2nd innings. He had a wonderful time in this match. Ollie Pope also made 66 in the first innings. We got Joe Root 106 in the 2nd innings and also Jacob Bethell and Ben Duckett playing their part. Overall a solid batting performance by the England team.

Since they also won the last test match there now they have won the series. Only a single game is left that will be played on 14 December.  I think in that match, New Zealand will get a win because England has already won the series and now in the last game, they will give rest to most of the good players.

England may not perform at their full energy which is why betting on New Zealand in the last game can be fruitful. Also, you get attractive odds on the New Zealand team.

Disastrous performance from India during the last 50 minutes or so. They lost 3 more wickets and they are still trailing by 2 runs with just 2 wickets in hand. Eventually, Australia may be asked to bat twice and India may therefore avoid innings defeat. But overall, this was a pathetic performance, from both the batsmen and bowlers for India. They failed to make a total of 200 in each of their innings, and then all bowlers except Jasprit Bumrah were wayward as well as expensive.

Sri Lanka have lost just 3 wickets. And Sri Lanka have managed to collect a big score of 242 by losing 3 wickets. So it can be expected that Sri Lanka will be able to collect more than 450 in their first innings. Because on this pitch, South African bowlers are not able to make any advantage.
We were proved wrong. We thought it won't be hard for Sri Lanka to score more than 450 runs. But the African bowlers did an amazing job. As I said in my previous posts, it's not like South african bowlers cannot do anything. They have a good bowling line up and they can take all the wickets in a single session. Credit to Dane Paterson who took five wickets and did not let Sri Lanka to take lead.

South Africans lose four wickets already and have a 283 runs lead and it is the first session of day four. If they play the remaining two sessions, I hope they will be able to take a lead of 450 which will be enough to win the match. Meanwhile, South africa lose another wicket while I was writing.

Temba Bavuma is in excellent form

Although Sri Lanka's top order played well, the middle order and lower order batsmen could not bat well. That is why Sri Lanka's innings stopped at 328 runs. South Africa was able to take a lead of 30 runs. The way Sri Lanka started their innings, many of us thought that Sri Lanka would collect 400+ very easily. But Sri Lanka's batsmen failed to bat responsibly.

South Africa is not able to play very well in the second innings. Before the lunch break, South Africa managed to collect 282 runs and lost 8 wickets. It is likely that South Africa will lose all its wickets before collecting 300 runs. Even if the target of 320+ is given, it will be enough to win if the South African bowlers are able to bowl in a controlled manner from the beginning of the innings.

After winning the first match, the Indian team was being so much confident for the second test match and showed aggression but they forgot that they were playing against Australia, the team who dominated them two times in ICC recent tournament since last 2 to 3 years.

Travis Head was named as the player of the match and he deserved to be because to score 140 is not easy for any batsman. In the second innings, Australia just had to make 19 runs to win and they chased it, such an easy win for them in the second test match.

From the first innings of India, Australia was stronger as when India came to bat for the first time they were just able to score 180, that is I don't think is a good target. While chasing it Australia scored 337 and got the lead of many runs. Then when India came to bat again and with effort from Nitish Kumar Reddy (42 runs) they were able to make 175 runs. Don't know why there were in a hurry to score runs ? Clearly there was no planning in the Indian camp.

Australia chased the target without losing even a single wicket. The target was nothing but still Nathan McSweeney and Usman Khawaja did not lose thier wickets and after 3.2 overs they were the winners.

1st inning: 44.1 overs/all out and 2nd inning: 36.5 overs/ all out. You don't deserve to win when your team can't even bat for 100 overs in 2 innings.

For some reason, intent merchants led by Rohit are not keen to face enough balls and only looking to score at a faster rate. In both India's innings, RR was well over 4 RPO. On flat decks, it works but when the pitch has enough spice for bowlers then you as a batter do the hard yards and then bring your aggressive mindset, it's 5-day test cricket not T-20 or ODI.

Indeed. India played way too aggressive, no batter tried to stay on crease, everyone tried to hit bowls that should have been left alone. KL that was seen in first match was not found in second test either.

You look at first match lineup and second match, second match's lineup is better in every way, yet India wins the first and loses the second.

If Shami comes back in third test, it should be Siraj that should be benched. Way too much of attitude for skills, and those who are actually skilled don't show that much of aggression (Starc, Bumrah).

This match literally ended in two days, I feel sad about my entertainment more so, lol.

India could not play as well as they did in the 1st Test against Australia in the 2nd Test. That is why their winning provability of in the 2nd Test is very low while the Australian team is doing well. Indian batting is quite reliable and the remaining players have enough ability to lift the team from this situation. But there is a question whether they will be able to show that ability or not. At the moment, both Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rishabh Pant are batting well and both of them will have to play for a long time. Both of them will have to show exceptional performance at the moment otherwise there is no possibility of winning this match. Some unexpected things happen in cricket which no one imagined. If India is able to do that tomorrow, that will be promising. As this is a 5-match Test series, Australia will definitely win the 2nd Test match.

Disastrous performance from India during the last 50 minutes or so.
Sadly, India lost the second test match. Now again the whole nation will be against Rohit Sharma. They will hate him for the team’s loss. But deep down we know that this is a collective game, and everyone has failed in the batting. We need to also praise the Aussie bowlers. They did great bowling, for which they were able to restrict the Indian batters. Was the inclusion of Ashwin over Washi a good choice? Washington could have added more batting depth to the team, according to me.

Rohit Sharma did not play well. But did Virat Kohli play well? These two are the most experienced and talented players in the Indian squad. But India did not get a good performance from these two in this match. I will not blame Rohit Sharma alone. Every batsman in the Indian squad is responsible for India's defeat. The batsmen batted very badly in this match. India scored only 180 runs in the first innings. In the second innings, they scored only 175 runs. Shubman Gill and Nitish Reddy batted a little better. But it was not enough.

Every batsman in the Indian squad is very talented. There is no doubt about it. Even then, the reason why Indian batsmen cannot bat well against Australian bowlers needs to be found. And I would say that the Indian team management should make changes in the squad. Batsmen who are consistently failing to play well cannot be given too many opportunities.

Epic comeback by the Aussies in their own backyard. The result could have been different if India could have removed Head a whole lot earlier. Kohli is easily a better captain than Rohit in the test format.

Also, South Africa almost sealed their test too thanks to Bavuma who is on a crazy high these days. 3 one sided tests basically(Aus, SA, Eng).

I like to treat everyone as a friend 🔹
South Africa are batting in the second innings and they have been able to bat well, after winning the first Test match brilliantly, they are playing endlessly to get to the verge of victory in the second Test as well. Today, South Africa has lost only four wickets while batting and the way they are scoring runs, they have a plan to score more runs than in the first innings. Since we have seen that the Sri Lankan team was able to bat well, if South Africa has to win the series in today's match, they will have to bat very well and give a huge lead. Already, the South African team has been able to give a lead of 248 runs, they still have enough wickets in hand, so if they play well, they can give a lead of 350+ runs. If the partnership of these two David Bedingham and Temba Bavuma can survive, then South Africa will definitely be able to give a big lead to Sri Lanka.

I agree that putting all the blame solely on Rohit is not very fair. That said, he is not in the best of form for the last 5-6 months or so. IMO, Jasprit Bumrah was the only Indian player who met the expectations. None of the others got their act right. But then, for how long India is going to be dependent on Bumrah? He had his fair share of injury troubles in recent times. For starters, I would like the selectors to kick out Mohammed Siraj from the playing XI. He bowls like shit, and behaves like a monkey on the ground.

Your prediction was right, hosts Australia beat India by 10 wickets in the second test match. In the second test match India's poor batting performance may have shocked everyone. After losing to India in the first Test, Australia made a great comeback in the second Test and defeated the mighty India by a huge margin. Watching the batting of the Indian batsmen in the first and second innings of the second Test match, it was surprising that they could not score more than 200 runs in any of the innings. Although the Indian batting line-up is very strong, they could not show their strong batting in the second Test match against Australia.

I was very disappointed with India's batting. In the last few Test matches, we have seen that India batted poorly in the first innings, but batted well in the second innings and were able to give a big target. In the first Test match against Australia, we also saw that India was able to score a big total in the second innings. And that is why India won the first match.

But in the second Test match, the Indian batsmen batted very poorly. India scored only 180 runs in the first innings. Their batting was even weaker in the second innings. India lost 9 wickets for 166 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy scored the highest 42 runs. Apart from that, no other batsman could bat well. Pat Cummins took 5 wickets.

The Indian team was able to take a lead of only 9 runs. Even if they gave a target of at least 100-150 runs, perhaps the Indian bowlers could have made the match competitive. It is difficult to accept such a poor performance from India's strong squad.
