I think this is the reason why Pakistan is called an unpredictable team, in the first innings the entire team will be bowled out at 194 and in the second innings, no wicket has fallen for 194 runs. Pakistan has low chances but they way Pakistan team comeback in second inning is outstanding performance from the batters. Pakistan current score is 248 runs with loss of 2 wickets. Marco Jansen today picked the wicket of Khurram Shahzad at 17 runs. Pakistan still trail by 171 runs. Shan Maqsood playing very responsibly at 117 runs alongside with kamran ghulam. This partnership between Shan masood and kamran ghulam is very important for Pakistan if Pakistan want to give a lead to South Africa.

Bumrah is one of the greatest bowlers to play cricket. Siraj has a better run in Australia than Shami. Krishna and Mukesh are new and comparison with Thakur Saab is not good because Thakur was all rounder and can't bowl 30-35 overs in a match or long spell in 4-5 test match series.

You need a workhorse for this, very few bowlers are cut for such a workload. That's why Siraj gets a seat in the squad, Shami is also a workhorse and in the upcoming lot, the likes of Akasdeep and Mukesh fit the bill (Krishna is fragile)

Comparison with Jaddu, Ash and Sundar is not a fair argument because Spinners had no role in this series. Even Lyon didn't get to ball 50-60 overs in total by playing 5 test match series.

PS: We needed a Pujara badly and Shami ( outdue to injury) and also golden arm of Lord Thakur.

Pakistan batted incredibly well. Babar Azam was a bit unlucky. Babar failed to score a century. Babar Azam was dismissed for 81 runs. Babar Azam had also played a brilliant innings of 58 runs in the first innings. However, Shan Massod is still at the crease with 102 runs. Rizwan, Masood, Ayub, Khurram and Agha Salman are all very talented batsmen. And we have seen big innings from these batsmen in the past. So it is not surprising if Pakistan scores big in the second innings.

However, since the performance of Pakistani players is very erratic. So nothing can be predicted before seeing their performance in the first session tomorrow. If Pakistan can bat well in the first session, then the team will be able to provide a decent target in this match. The way Pakistan batted in their first innings but Pakistan's batting in the second innings was opposite to the first innings. While South Africa ended the innings with 615 runs, Pakistan were bowled out for just 194 runs, meaning Pakistan started the second innings trailing by 418 runs in the first innings. That's some interesting stats, thanks for that.

But not squads are picked entire based on numbers it depends on lot of factors such as where they bowled better based on that Siraj was an obvious choice but giving him the long run of 5 matches is a crime though.

Indian team needs a complete overhaul for the red ball cricket or the humiliation is gonna continue. Many experts pointed out why Arshdeep wasn't part of this series, he could have been a better in terms of supporting with new ball that might reduced a lot of dependency on Bumrah alone for taking early wickets.

No doubt due to the worst ever batting in first inning Pakistan badly down here in second test against South Africa, but we have impressive start from Shan Masood and Babar Azam with both right now having partnership of 175 runs without any lost which is good fightback even still long way to go for them as still trailing by 242 runs for avoiding inning defeat.

Pitch is favourable for batsmen, but we need good and positive technique from Pakistani batsmen which are familiar for their unpredictable batting and poor performance for long time third days play just 12 overs remaining if we have 200 runs without any lost this could be amazing stuff for them while they can go positive in fourth days plays.

Pakistan cannot draw this match. Even after Babar Azam 80 and Shan Masood 102 not out, i do not expect that remaining Pakistan batsmen will bat similarly like the openers. Yes, the openers show how to play well, but remember the whole Pakistan team was booked at 194 runs in the first innings, so they just can't overnight start to play too well. Yes one or two batsmen can perform well (as we have seen the openers) but whole team need to bat like this which is not less than a miracle.
