Rohit and Kohli? They have gone from dependable to undependable in recent times. Jaiswal and Gill keep performing consistently well, but they aren't able to convert their starts into big scores yet.
Also, what the heck is up with Kohli and getting out right before stumps in this series? His impatience keeps screwing him again and again. Wonder if India will end up getting whitewashed in this series now.
1st test both innings Rohit Sharma 2&52 Kohli 0& 70 ,They managed to get back to the runs in the second innings though.
2nd test both innings Rohit Sharma 0& 8, Kohli 1& 17 , These two have completely failed to score legendary runs in the two innings of this Test.
3rd test Rohit Sharma 18 , Kohli 4 , These two legendary batsmen have not played any important innings in this Test series so far. I don't think we should actually blame the Indian venues and blame the Indian cricketers?
If the pitch is to blame then the New Zealand batsmen have performed well on the same pitch and have already won both the Tests. So it is clear that due to the poor performance of Indian cricketers, India is on the way to whitewash in this Test series.
I would say Indian senior players failed to perform well in this series. We haven't seen better performances from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in a long time. The performance of the Indian top order players is quite poor and erratic at present. Both Kohli and Rohit are very important players in the Indian squad. But as these two batsmen are not able to bat well, its effect is seen in the Indian overall performance.
I see no chance of blaming the Indian pitch. India know their pitch very well. At the same time New Zealand batsmen can bat well on this pitch but Indian batsmen are not able to do well on this pitch. This is definitely the failure of the Indian players.
Indian batsmen are not able to do well in the third test match as well. New Zealand collected small. New Zealand scored only 235 runs. But looking at Bharti's batting, it doesn't look like India will be able to muster up to 235. India lost 4 wickets for 86 runs on the first day.
