We've come to the point where winning in Pakistan has no value and runs scored there are becoming pretty useless, given you are comparing em with other venues. It's all lol and giggles with a heavy load of depression.

It's quite surprising to see the reserves. I am in favor of all seam reserve but at the same time, it seems early, considering they could've some game time in the Ranji and more overs under their belt, it started already.

Harshit-Reddy did more than okay job in the Duleep Trophy. I had a feeling Reddy would be fast-tracked because he's a seam all rounder and management desperately needs one for SENA tours, mainly upcoming BGT. Maybe they are just keeping em with the squad so that they can monitor their progress in the nets.

Fingers crossed for Mayank Yadav, he's an exciting talent and hope his body allows him to bowl 15-20 overs in the net regularly.

I really don't expect a very good performance from Pakistan. Pakistan team played very badly against Bangladesh. Against a team as weak in the Test format as Bangladesh, the Pakistan team was defeated in both matches. Both the batting and bowling orders of Pakistan are quite weak right now. There is no player in the Pakistan squad who can bat responsibly. Every batsman's performance is erratic.

But you are right that Pakistan team tried to do well against England. But they could not succeed. Pakistan batted well in the first innings. However, the performance of their bowlers was very poor. For me it's not a bowling failure but a batting in that match because at the same time English batter were easily smashing thier bowlers on every delivery at same track but they failed and every batter of them whome were expected to add some handsome contribution got exposed and failed and I think that not a first time for them to failed at second innings while batting at test match, they have recently done same things against Bangladesh and now they repeat it by thier self. I think the main reason of Pakistan team failure in test format is due to lack of matches in that format and that's why most of thier player don't even have much experience in that long format of cricket anyway q big congratulations to brook for his phenomenal partnership and tripe century at such young age against top Pakistani bowlers hope such thing will not be allowed by Pakistani bowlers to repeat.

In this match there was no doubt that England will win the match because the game was played well by Pakistan side but England team shows strong and good performance due to which they will win the match. As good as Pakistan's batsmen played in the first innings, they played worse in the second innings. Had they given a good and tough target in the second innings, England might have lost the match. England International test team won the last match by a massive margin and we expected that kind of performance from Pakistani team because they are not able to be trusted because they always lose the lose the match in pressure and big teams prove their ability in pressure situation.

England batters played well in first inning and they lead by massive margin and Pakistan team could not all team out of England team and they declare the batting after making 823 runs with fall of 7 wickets. Harry Brook played just one innings and was named as the player of the match for his wonderful and outstanding performance as he crossed 300 in a single innings. Imagine if there would have been a second innings available to him, then he would have made perhaps 500 runs in both innings combined.

However, he and his full team played an amazing game, such a great comeback in the game by them. After the first innings of Pakistan, England would have been a bit worried but their batting line-up showed great strength. In the next game, there will be a lot of hope for brook and in fact the whole England team. I hope the same performance by him in the next game too. Wink

First test match of the series ended with great win for the England and humiliation for the Pakistan cricket and their system as well because with this result now things are already into deep collapse of Pakistani cricket after sack of Ramiz Raja who was bringing this at new highs, but now they are giving their best for having worst ever end of this game in Pakistan after end of Squash and Field Hockey where Pakistan were ruling for decades.

After end of first two days play, no one were talking about result like this because mostly were talking about this pitch is another road by curator but peoples those well understand nature of Pakistani cricket and their players were well aware about this result with many world records are broken by England, Harry Brook and Joe Root which were in full command from the start of their inning hopefully we will have many more interested things like these in next two test matches.

I think the England team got their due by winning this Test. England's victory was decided yesterday by Brooke's triple century and today was the last day's game and Pakistan's batsmen did not perform well. Every batsman in Pakistan was mentally disturbed which showed in their performance and they were not ready to score big runs. Another key reason for the failure of the Pakistan team was England's one-of-a-kind Jack Leach who took 4 valuable wickets for 30 runs in just 6.5 overs. Besides, Brydon Carse and Gus Atkinson took two wickets each which accelerated Pakistan's loss. Pakistan were heavily criticized at home and abroad for losing against a weak team like Bangladesh in the previous Test series and will be criticized even more after losing to England by an innings and by 47 runs.

I would say that all things considered, England performed the best in the first Test match against Pakistan. Although Pakistan team performed well in their first innings on the first day, Pakistan team did not perform well in the second innings. Anyway, as England team has won against Pakistan in a good tie, and England team is leading in the series result. However, we expect that in the next match Pakistan team will have to be tougher and improve their game to equalize their series result against England. And if Pakistan ball doesn't play well in the second test match then surely they will lose the series, however we have seen earlier Pakistan lost the series against Bangladesh so they should improve their game against England.

During the good old days, Pakistan had tearaway pace bowlers such as Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami, who could rely on raw pace to take wickets. The current bunch of pacers (Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and Naseem Shah) doesn't have that ability. Only one who come close is Muhammad Hasnain, but he lost his pace after the injury problem.
