Three days gone and still we have not completed two innings out of the four innings of the Test. We are not even half way. Tomorrow even if we see the match continuing, I do not think it will be that easy for England to wrap up Australians, not when Smith is there.

Only two days left but there are still 2.5 (more less) innings left to complete. This test possibly can end up having a draw.

Smith's wicket is tough to take but not impossible so hope so England manage to end up the innings before lunch. Still two innings cannot complete in less than 2 days so it's unfair for the teams too if the match ends in a draw. I feel they should declare the result based on 1 innings but then their rules are different. Also, if this match is drawn, chances of England winning the series are narrow then.

Looks like Australia won't manage to chase the runs with it raining and they already lost 4 wickets. Don't think they'll even get to play 2 full days till 18th as they already lost over 1.5 days with the rain. England played well in the first innings and now depending on how Smith performs tomorrow, I guess they'll manage another 150 more and England may win the first innings and this game too.

Would love to see Smith get out asap in order to improve the chances of winning my bet. This guy can single handedly take Australia to a winning total, but Archer is the X-factor here and I think that he can make the difference here.
Archer is a class. He is always the X-factor for England since he was introduced to the squad.

Lunch break. If Australia wants to take control of this match then they will need to play a clean season after the lunch break. At this moment the match seems in England's hand.

I wish you good luck for your bet by the way.

Placed a bet on both England and Australia(Hedged) thanks to the awesome odds available, but it seems like this match might end up in a draw unless wickets drop like dominoes which would be really favorable for me.
Becareful, so much rain today, if mostly day play wash out, draw odds will drop drastically.
No problem. I will simply place a 3rd bet on the draw and recover 70% of my bet even if the odds for a draw drop to 1.05. This is why I love live betting and it is truly the future of betting.

Head gone. Australia 4 down and I can see Smith is going to be the savior again. He must need to play a good knock again. Question is how long the Australian squad will relay on only one person?

Smith still there so Oz can fancy their chances in the first inning. would love to see more Archer vs Smith.

SriLanka is losing the edge here. if Kiwis manage to get around 225 runs lead then its tough for Lankan batsmen and game open for both teams from there. They already took ages to get Southee out, so they need to wrap up tailenders as quickly as possible, cant afford to repeat the same mistake with others.
NZ already had 175 runs lead. Sri Lanka needs to be quick in taking the last three wickets.

Never thought Sri Lanka will give this much fight against a team like NZ. New Zealand is leading by only 121 runs and they have 4 wickets in hand. Watling is the last recognized batsman and once he is gone then it will be a matter of time for Sri Lanka to wrap up the NZ innings. Can they manage a 150 or 180 runs lead?

I see Sri Lanka is driving the Test match.

Edit: Australia is in pressure after losing two quick wickets. Archer striked and then Woakes took off Khawaja. Smith is in the pitch and hoping to rebuild the innings now.

In the other match, Australia just started their 3rd day. They will need a good session to take the full control of the match.

@onrise : 300 runs? I doubt that right now kiwis are struggling at 124/6 and lead is only 106 with 4 wickets in hand. Their best shot is to add 80+ runs more from here and give a target of 180ish. And the way SL's bowlers bowling atm they can even wrap up Kiwis's lower order cheaply.

AUS vs ENG

Same story with OZ. Once again their bowlers were struggling to get tailenders out. Here I think Starc's deadly's yorker and swing comes in play against the tailenders.

Right now English Camp looks happy with 225 runs lead on the board and Warner sitting in the dugout.

I thought of placing another hedge bet on Sri Lanka and New Zealand too, but the combined odds were pretty poor and it most probably might not end in a draw. Lets see what happens.

Correct SL vs NZ game is going towards a result, no doubt about that and if kiwis manage to put 225-250 runs lead then SL need some brave innings to win this game.

This pitch is turning out to be a gold mine for spinners. 2 spinners already took fifer for their respective team. You can imagine what will happen during the last inning.

According to current scenario 150-180 runs target for Sri Lankans? Kiwis top order failed and Ross taylor gone as well.

Anything above 300 runs will become difficult to chase and considering the SL side at present only a good inning is or a century stand if partnership could help then winning the test match . Though Nz have lost 2 quick wickets on a score of 21 runs only.

Australia made a big mistake by not selecting Mitchell Starc. England could recover from 138/6 to 258, because none of the Australian bowler could clean up the tail. If Starc was playing, then he could have mopped up the lower middle order and the tail in quick time. But he was not playing, and players such as Woakes, Archer and Broad made significant partnerships that could prove crucial for a low scoring match. For Australia, Lyon once again proved inefficient against the top and middle order. If England could restrict Australia below 250, then they have a great chance of leveling the series. Only one man stands between them and a victory, and his name is Steven Smith.

Quite true that Starc could have made the difference in getting the tail quickly out . But Oz might want to give chance to other players as well and they are already 1-0 ahead in series . So may be this could be strategy and if required might be back in 3rd test .

Mitchell Starc omission is debatable as this decision of theirs has already backfired on them, hopefully he’ll come back in the third test match. England played poorly yesterday and if they continue giving performances like this Australia will win the Ashes easily, is there any specific reason why England are performing so bad?. Australia have lost one wicket for 30 runs and the only way England can come back in this match is by picking those remaining 9 wickets quickly, but I doubt Australia will crumble what do you’ll think?.

After losing a whole day to rain Australia have really dominated day 2 of this test match. When Australia won the toss and elected to bowl, everyone thought that it might of been the wrong decision but it has worked perfectly thanks to some great bowling by Hazlewood early on that kept the England batsman under pressure. It was a good decision to bring him back into the team as he was the one early on that put the match in Australia's favour. Warner failed again with the bat so I'm not sure if he is able to keep his spot in the team in the third test match. I'm looking forward to seeing Smith bat and to see if England try and new tactics to try and get Smith out early on.

England 225/7 at the moment, it’s not a great innings so far is it, AUS have to be thinking if they can take out the tail end quickly they’ll be massive favourites to go 2-0 up in this test.
Australia wrapped up England's first innings only for 258 runs. Now they are betting. I see Australia is winning this test. They will bat aggressively to give a good lead to England. This test already lost a full day so it needs good scoring rate.

Edit:
Damn it! Warner gone :-(

I sure this match is going to end in just four days as Australia is full of confidence and they already leading the series so they will play aggressively and able to take some good lead in first inning which could be good for them as after inclusion of Hazzelwood they are doing very good and bowled out England in second inning very quickly without any problem.
