Indian spin bowlers have made a huge impact in winning or losing the game. England is definitely the best team in all three formats, so England should have planned the team according to how the wicket could be in Asian conditions or which fast bowler or spin bowler would be more effective for the test match. Why didn't England add extra spin bowlers to their team if spin bowlers get extra advantage. If a quality spin bowler like India had in the XI, the result of this series might have been different but it was not.
In the fifth test match India won by an inning and 64 runs against England. This test match ended on just the 3rd day of the match and India winning the series by 4-1. From India the Player of the Match Kuldeep Yadav for his outstanding all-round batting and bowling performance. Kukdepp Yadav batting well scored 30 runs, and picked 5 important wickets by giving 72 runs. In the second inning they picked 2 wickets and helped his team to all out England in just 195 runs.
England's Test series against India was like a bad dream. Test series between India and England are usually very competitive but this Test series we noticed something different. England won the first match of this Test series but it was entirely due to the mistakes of the Indian batsmen. In the second innings of the first test match, India performed much worse than the first innings whereas England batted much better in the second innings than in the first innings, due to which India lost the first match to England. However, in the last four matches, India did not give any chance to England.
You are right England performance give very poor performance in this series against India. They lost four back to back test match in this series and lost the series by 4-1. Its a huge setbacks for England team they didn't played good cricket in last test match India won by an innings and more then 60 plus runs. England needs to improve his bowling and batting performance and make some changes in playing XI.

LOL.. all this after winning the first match in spectacular fashion. They won the first test match against all odds, but then went on to lose the series 1-4. And remember that India was without some of their regular players. For me, the reasons for the failure from England resulted from the following factors:

1. James Anderson was under-utilized
2. Too much dependence on Shoaib Bashir, who failed to live up to the expectations
3. Usage of bazball even in situations where it was not suitable
4. Using spinners against tailend batsmen, rather than pacers
5. Continued poor performance of England's batsmen against Indian spinners.
Yeah, I agree with your all points about English failure because there were too much hype about Bazball, and they completely ignore Indian conditions even they have done good work with having few spinners, but they were no well experienced, and their technique was also not good to have good results in India they have few good pace bowlers, but they never use them properly which is also miserable but hopefully now they will be able to have their lesson and will come again with better strategy because we all know Indian conditions are never been easy to play for the SENA countries with here they needed good study of all things if they want to have any success.

First test win was surely shocking but too many high expectations after this win was another big mistake which give them the worst ever results in next all four games no English batsmen able to play confidently against spinners.

If India and Australia both manage to reach finals again then it's another ICC trophy for the latter party lol. In a one-off encounter, India has only slim chances against any SENA country in the English conditions due to obvious, which I mentioned many times in the past.

Yeah, BIG -3 plays a lot of tests but India is still lagging as far as the fixed home season is concerned (In the context of a Boxing Day Test type schedule). In the long run, BCCI must also look at this issue.

If we look at current position of points table then India is at top with 74 points while Australians have 90 points and third team has got 36 points. So based on current standings It’s very obvious that Australia and India will play the final.
Only India, Australia and England play test with there full strength teams while other teams like SA and WI are not much interested in test and most of there players are busy in leagues during test series.
Points comparison has become irrelevant because ICC has already changed the criteria as BIG-3 plays more tests and that's not the case with the other test playing nations so now it's based on percentage. Although 6 test series are locked for every one (3 home+3 away).

It looks like Mumbai are going to claim another Ranji Trophy. This is like the 87th-88th season of Ranji and they already claimed 41 trophies so far, ridiculous dominance.

Australia won the test series against New Zealand and it once again they proved themself as legend in cricket history. In 1st inngins, both team scored medium runs cause they both have best bolwers lol. For new Zealand, Matt Henry took 9 wickets total which was epic and Ben Sears got 4 wickets in 2nd inngins. Similarly Josh Hazlewood took 5 wickets in 1st inngins, Pat Cummins & Nathan Lyon took 3 & 4 wickets respectively. Tom Latham(73) ,Rachin Ravindra (82) let people know their presence in team. Similarly Marnus Labuschagne(90) did great in 1st inngins. While Australia was straggling at 34-4 runs or 80-5 runs, many people thought maybe Australia going to all out soon. But i shocked how Mitchell Marsh(80) and Alex Carey(98) handle the situation. Mid orde all-rounder and bowler just done the impossible while top order batsman were suffering to score. That's why Australia is called a legend.

For me Proteas are having no chance as their quality is badly down and their performance is also not as par requirement because their selection policy and internal issues are killing their cricket which was at his best few years back with better selection criteria.
BCCI can't influence the WTC venue. Plus if India or the subcontinent in general, gets a WTC venue then the final will witness empty Stands barring a few thousand foreign spectators.

South Africa has 4 series left. 2 home series against Pakistan and SL. 2 Away series against Windies and Bangladesh. Overall, sweet schedule, except Bangladesh away tour because of spin conditions.

WTC point table update

Savior and the biggest entertainer of Test Cricket are in their usual 8th position. They cemented this position for some time now and this standing will remain the same for a couple of months because of no test cricket.

As of now, India and Australia seem favorite candidates for the Finals. Kiwis and Proteas might have some chance as well.

We have right now interesting stats in WTC era with three teams are dominating for the last few years and most chances we will have no chance from any other team to challenge them while things are going into their favour and English Bazball is also going to have big below in this Indian tour first two final are India, New Zealand and Australia with most chances we will have two teams from these for the next 2025 as well and as mentioned India having no chance again but hopefully now BCCI will try their best for shifting final because they also deserve this with huge fan base and many other factors like quality and consistency hopefully changes will be occurred.

For me Proteas are having no chance as their quality is badly down and their performance is also not as par requirement because their selection policy and internal issues are killing their cricket which was at his best few years back with better selection criteria.

Australia is on the top and that's why winning against them is fun. I can't wait for the test series in November.

I also feel that there is psychological burden of India choking against Australians that it has become ingrained part of mentality while Australia has history of dominating Indians, and it helps them whenever they face-off against each other.

I'm aware India does well against Aussies in random bilateral series but in big tourneys India often chokes.
If we only win against them in any finals lmao. Both are big dogs and we can have only one winner so no shame in losing against the Champion team.

But overall, I'd prefer the BGT away trophy every single time because it's a tough task to beat them in their backyard and that too in 5 test match series. Since 2016 4 BGT (Away+Home) got in India's favor so I would love to get another one and make it 5.

It appears Australians are winning easily without much competition and they are not having fun either. Cummins was yawning during odi wc, Mitch Marsh was laughing when he got out. I mean ICC ODI cup is peak trophy.

I didn't know India has won 4 BGT trophies (I was in cricket hiatus long before coming back recently), that's definitely something to cheer about.

I think India and Australia are the two teams who are worthy successors to play in the final of the World Cup Championship. Because they have performed very well in the recent Test series. For example the Indian team recently defeated the England cricket team at home in the five test match series by 4-1.Similarly Australia defeated New Zealand team by two nil margin i.e. whitewashed them as a result of which they moved to number two in the points table of the World Cup Championship. We have seen earlier that Australia and India faced each other in the final of the World Cup Championship but it was the Australian cricket team who emerged victorious.

Jaiswal is the biggest positive from this series and he made his opening slot permanent probably in all three formats with this kind of performance and Other debutants except Patidar gave pretty good impressions but when big names back they have to be at the bench and waiting for their opportunity.
Gavaskar had scored 774 runs in 8 innings. He had scored 732 runs in another test series where he batted 9 innings in total. Anyway, it is just the start of Jaiswal career. Jaiswal will be able to break the record of Gavaskar if he doesn’t lose the track shortly. These youngsters will take the place of big names within next 2-3 years.

I just realized had India didn't win the match by an inning and had England put some good lead then Jaiswal could possibly have surpassed Gavaskar's 774 run record (highest runs scored by an Indian in the test series), Jaiswal concluded the current series with total of 712 runs.

If I am not wrong Gavaskar 774 run came from 9 innings as well so it's kind of compensated, me too waiting for the record to be broken but Eng fell short and gave inning win to team India.

I stand with Palestine.
NZ team were all out for just 162 runs in first innings and Aussies were in same condition but its Marnus Labuschagne 90 runs that took them ahead of NZ. In second innings, NZ batsmen played with caution but it was too late by that time. If you give around 100 runs lead to team like Australia in first innings then its very difficult to get back in the game. Aussies once again proved that they are too good in test format.
I agree that giving a team like Australia a 100 runs lead in the first innings is a difficult position to come back from especially in test cricket format. And as you mentioned the performance of Marnus Labuschagne was crucial in helping Australia take the lead and ultimately secure the win. And we all know that it is clear that Australia strength in the test format was on display in this match. And I think New Zealand will need to regroup and come back stronger in the next match to have a chance at competing with a team like Australia.

Toss played crucial role as well, here pitch was getting better to bat day by day but usually it will be in the reverse, still standing up when they needed badly is something great and Aussies known for doing that and this victory doesn't surprise me much cause they have been completely dominant over Kiwis in test while playing in NZ for the last decades.

After Australia lost 5 batsmen for 80 runs I don't imagine they will be able to win this match. But in the end Australia got a pretty easy win. Australia team managed to defeat the New Zealand team despite a terrible performance by the top order batsmen.

Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey's great partnership helped the Australian team to win this match. Mitchell Marsh collected 80 runs from 102 balls, and Alex Carey was unbeaten with 98 runs from 123 balls. Pat Cummins also managed to play a much-needed innings of 32 runs.

New Zealand lost the match due to poor batting in the first innings. New Zealand's collection in the first innings was only 162 runs. The team scored 372 runs in the second innings, and set a target of 279 runs. However, due to Marsh and Carey's excellent batting, New Zealand lost the match.
