5 wickets gone in just a few hours because of Ashwin and Yadav. They both are again getting wickets in the second innings. Joe Root is still batting and he can become a saviour for England as he has done that once in the series. England still trailing by 156 runs and it doesn't look easy to get those runs with wickets falling so fast.
England have already lost 8 wickets. So far England has scored 171 runs losing 8 wickets. England trail by 88 runs, England don't have enough wickets they will lose by an innings margin. Shoaib Bashir and Joe Root are both at the crease, Shoaib Bashir on 9 runs and Joe Root on 64 runs unbeaten. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin bowled very well in the second innings. Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin took 5 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav bowled well in the first innings but took only 1 wicket in the second innings. Let's see how many runs England can score.

Ashwin the new ball specialist, just doing his thing and back to business.
Yeah. 4 wickets just like that and his tally keeps rising like crazy with every passing match. On the other hand, Kuldeep turning the ball is magical to watch. England is all set to lose by an innings or give a small lead.

It all comes down to how long Root sticks around. Foakes and the tail-enders could support him and he is once again the big wicket.
Also, Keep in mind that he hasn't been in his best form in this series but still ended up as the leading wicket taker, it shows the quality of the man, the magician.

Now, I am more pissed at the possible 4-1 scoreline. It should've been 5-0, the winning margin was just 28 runs so it stings more.

~snip~
From now on, They will think twice about using the term "BAZBALL".

India batted brilliantly in the first innings of their fifth Test match and were bowled out for 477 runs. England team started batting in their second innings. Looking at the batting of England team, it seems that England team is going to lose the fifth test match against India very badly. England team should have batted more responsibly in the second innings in the fifth test match. Since England's batting failure in the first innings in the fifth test match, England's batsmen should have been more responsible in the second innings so that they could play a competitive game even if they lost the match against India but England  Test match. Looking at the batting of the England team, it seems that they need to focus more on batting in the future. Otherwise, their team will end up in a very bad situation, so they need to focus on the batting of the England team.

Things are moving quickly here ladies.

First Jimmy reached a ridiculous milestone of 700 wickets as a seamer, a mighty big achievement and I dare to say the last seamer or probably the last test bowler to achieve this feat. Only Ashwin and Lyon can have a sniff if they manage to extend their career.

Ashwin the new ball specialist, just doing his thing and back to business.

Looks like ENG is playing hopeless and can't control the wickets falling.

Joe Root back to his pre Bazball style of batting and that is provided some partnership for now but it looks like the innings might over before the day or even possibly the match could over by the end of today's play.

Ash added another 5-fer under his name.

I thought Australia would take a 150+ lead in the Test match between Australia and New Zealand but Matt Henry bowled brilliantly and was trapped for 256 in Australia's first innings. Matt Henry took 7 first innings wickets against Australia.  New Zealand are batting in the second innings, their score is 122/2. New Zealand still lead by 28 runs. Kane Williamson is out for 51 runs. Tom Latham is still unbeaten on 59 and is trying to pair with Rachin Ravindra. I think the third wicket pairing will depend on which way New Zealand match go on. Only nine overs left to bowl. I think tomorrow's first session is going to be very exciting.

The New Zealand team is batting in the second innings and in the second test match, the Australian team scored only 256 runs in the first innings and then got all out. New Zealand team came out to bat today on the second day they lost one wicket, but they still have enough wickets and chances of winning are high. As only 51 more runs will be successful in meeting the target given by Australia, the New Zealand team must perform well in today's match. If the New Zealand team can score 350 runs against Australia in today's match, there may be some chance of victory but Australia need to score more runs. And today's match is very important for New Zealand because the previous match was won by Australia, so New Zealand will have to work hard to win today's match. With only 51 runs left to reach Australia's target at the moment, New Zealand will have to play accordingly and build a huge lead.
Australia's openers did not bat very well after New Zealand's lead of 162 runs, but Marnus Labuschagne batted responsibly for the team. Marnus Labuschagne batted very well and got out with 90 runs. However, after the batting failure of the second Test, the New Zealand team bounced back and bowled well against the mighty Australia, bowling Australia out for just 256 runs. The New Zealand bowlers bowled aggressively from the start which put the Australian batsmen under a lot of pressure especially Matt Henry bowled brilliantly and took 7 important wickets for Australia. If the New Zealand team can bat well in the second innings and give Australia a big run target then New Zealand can win.

India vs England Fifth Test match England team was bowled out for only 218 runs due to batting failure of England team. India started batting with a lead of 218 runs, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma also batted well. Yashasvi Jaiswal did not score much and got out after scoring 57 runs. However, Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma both batted responsibly Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma both got centuries. The current score of the Indian team is 473 runs for 8 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav if these two players can get some runs, then India will give a bigger lead to England.

The Indian team are in complete control in this test match. When the England team was all out at 218 runs, I at once believed that India would easily win this test match and it is going like that way smoothly. Smiley

The Indian team made 477 runs in their first innings and therefore took a lead of over 200+ runs. This is a significant lead and it will put a lot of pressure on the England team in their 2nd innings as they not only have to cope up with this lead but at the same time they have to give some target for the Indian team to chase in the last innings. All credit goes to Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill who both played a vital innings and made a 100 each.

How often do we see that teams after getting 200+ runs leads usually win the match by an innings? Do you think that India will win by an innings in this test match and England will be all out under 200 runs?

Another great batting by Yadav down the order. Kuldeep contribution to the lead was of 30 runs. Bhumrah is still on the pitch and has scored 20 runs. The current lead is of 259 runs which quite good considering the batters of England are out of form or are struggling against spinners. I don't think the last batting pair of India will last long against Anderson. We will see the second innings start in just a few hours or minutes.

India closes the day with 473-8, with 255 runs lead, I feel match has already slipped from England's hands.
England were all out for just 218 runs in their first innings compared to a lead of 473 runs i.e. 255 runs for India to win with an innings to spare.
If Kuldeep, Jadeja and Ashwin spin properly on the third day, then England will be all out before 200 runs. Because the current England squad is not a big opponent for Kuldeep Jadeja and Ashwin.
India is on the path to another morale-boosting win and series victory. The England side seems to have given up and can't change their fortunes with their current approach. Despite being better by every measure, England is lagging behind in this series. The pitch is favorable for batting, and Indian batters are finding it easy, while England's batters are struggling. It's likely that England will continue to struggle in their second innings, as you said.
One thing is very complicated that on the same pitch England batsmen were bowled out for just 218 runs while on that pitch Indian batsmen are performing brilliantly especially except Ravi Chandran Ashwin no batsman did bad performance. So far India have given a lead of 255 runs and the two batsmen Kuldeep Yadav and Bumrah are unbeaten with a partnership of 45 runs. If they can add a few more runs on the third day and invite England to bat, I don't think England will be able to collect the run lead India gave them.

England are performing the same way in the Test series against India as England did in the 2023 World Cup. England lost the series to India due to losing three matches in a row but in the fifth T20 match I thought maybe England can get a win against India but with the way they batted in the first innings it is not possible to win against India. England scored only 218 runs against India in the first innings. If India can bat like this then there is a possibility that England will lose this match by an innings. When England were batting it seemed that the wicket was very hard and the wicket was not helping the batsmen but the Indian batsmen were batting very well on the wicket.

England had terrible start of fifth test and Indians have performed quite well on first day. England had won the first test and since then its a dry period for them in the series. Zak Crawley was the only English batsmen to score a fifty and that's why England team was bowled out for just 218 runs on first test. Eleven wickets fell on first day and all were picked by spinners. Indians dressing room must be very satisfied as they are 135 for one on completion of first day.
England scored 218 runs in their first innings but India is unbeaten with 473 runs in their first innings so far. So far India has not gone all out against England. India lead England by 255 runs at the end of the first innings. Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma brought up centuries in the first innings. Team India is currently leading by more runs than England scored in the first innings. Since India is not all out yet, if India can collect some more runs, there is a possibility that England will lose this match by an innings. India may want to capitalize on the opportunity to beat England by an innings.

Test match between Australia and New Zealand two teams performed so badly New Zealand team which I did not imagine. The New Zealand team had so much fall of wickets that they lost all their wickets to collect only 162 runs. Australia team won the first test match and Australia team can win the second test match. Test match wickets should be protected by long performances and score good runs to defeat the opposing team. But the New Zealand team's performance in that regard was very poor, Australia's bowler Hazelwood collected five wickets alone. The New Zealand team basically lost to him because there was so much wicket pressure that the New Zealand team could not score many runs
First day of the second test match, and we have 14 wickets what a start of the game while after first hour play I was not expecting match like this because as we have start from the New Zealand things were looking for big score from them because in first hour we have no wicket and all were going good but suddenly after first hour play we have Josh Hazelwood special which give shocks after shocks and all New Zealand batting bundled out cheaply without any resistance which is looking concern for them.

In reply, we have not good start for the Australia as well with they also lost top order quickly but Marnus Labuschagne doing good job and still on crease hopefully this will help them, and they will be able to have better runs on board with currently they are trailing by 38 runs.

Again, when the tail starts wagging in test cricket, it's genuinely a treat to watch for the batting side and an extremely frustrating period for the bowling unit.

Kudos to the Kuldeep-Bumrah duo for stitching a valuable partnership. The scorecard and lead are looking good now.

Especially kuldeep and how he evolved his batting style like top order grinder, he always known for hanging around with a batter in the other end but in this series he took that to next level and really frustrated the opposition by facing more balls than half of their batting unit.

India already got enough runs as lead to go for an innings defeat.
Kuldeep improving his batting is a very good sign for India. Ashwin will retire soon and Kulee is next in the line. A bit too early but if he can achieve the batting level of even Ashwin then it's a big tick and will fill the quota of the spin all rounder at 7th-8th spot.

Kuldeep, Bumrah and later Siraj should become greedy or pakka wala kadoos and not throw their wicket tomorrow. Try to set a target of 15 runs, after that if they survive then add another 15 runs and if possible just keep Poms out for one more hour.

In the first innings of the fifth Test match between India and England we saw a batting disaster for the England team. The main reason for England's batting disaster was that they could not deal with the Indian spin bowlers properly which resulted in them being bowled out for very few runs. Then when the Indian team came out to bat in their first innings the Indians dominated from the start and two of their batsmen completed centuries. While India's top order and middle order batsmen have batted well, their lower order batsmen have been unimaginable as they have batted poorly. I saw this match when India were 376 for their fourth wicket and since then they have lost wickets at regular intervals and are currently eight wickets of 418 runs.
At the end of the second day play in fifth test match India leading by 255 with Bumrah and Kuldeep on crease, and they have good partnership which is now have 45 runs and these are frustrating situation for the England which is already having problems on first day due to their poor batting today we have impressive work by all top order batting with all top five able to score 50+ runs with 2 hundreds by Sharma and Gill was feature of the day's play as things are going I have personal feeling most chances we will have another huge defeat for the England with most chances they will be going to end this match on third day because their batting fail to manage spin from the Kuldeep, Ashwin and Jadu which are doing good job in this series.

English spinners also having good performance, but they need more experience as they are giving too much runs to India but positive thing we have 16 wickets for the Bashir and 22 for the Hartley which is playing his 5th test match of the career and have good career ahead of him.

England fielding was very, very crappy in this particular match. They missed some important catches and gave away plenty of runs due to misfields. It's like they gave up on the series completely.

It was great watching the prince and his captain scoring centuries simultaneously. India could win this one by an innings at this point.
Indian team is very strong with every team they perform very well that's why India gives better performance at their home ground we got proof of that against England. The England team's batting failure against India is not leaving behind. Since the beginning, the England team is losing the Test matches against India due to the poor performance of the team. Out of the five Test matches, England won one Test match while India won the remaining three to seal the Test series already. Maybe the England team did not bat that well in the fifth test match, the way the Indian team is batting, it seems that they will beat England by a huge margin in the fifth test match. In the end we have to wait as cricket is a game of uncertainty nothing can be said beforehand if the England team can bowl well then surely the game can be competitive otherwise the game against India will be one sided.
