Didn't watch both matches till the end, but I was shocked to see both Windies and England winning their respective matches since they were the underdogs thanks to Hartley and Shamar Joseph.

India clearly missed Kohli while Gill is proving to be an overhyped player to be frank. Also, Smith and Pope deserved getting a century and double century respectively. Crazy stuff!

Indians are crazy for cricket and any player who perform well in one or two games is taken to sky by Indian media and cricket fans. Gill is very new to cricket, he has played only 21 tests so far and has only scored 2 centuries along with 4 half centuries. Give him some time before calling him best or over hyped player.

WI have done biggest upset in cricket history. Before test series there were discussions that why WI was given 2 test series against mighty Aussies. But WI proved that they still have cricketing spark left in them.

India is in big trouble now, lost 5 wickets for 107 runs. Still trailing by 124 runs and it is not looking good as England bowlers are not allowing the Indian batters to settle. Jadeja and Iyer are batting and they are not at all looking comfortable. Tom Hartley took 4 wickets and it now looks like England are on the front seat of winning this test match. I am suprised to see that the Indian batting order has just collapsed without much efforts from England bowlers.
India lost control of their match. I don't think India can win the match. Tom Hartley has bowled brilliantly, he has already taken four wickets including Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Axar Patel. India still need 100 runs with just three wickets in hand. Srikar Bharat and Ashwin are currently batting on the pitch, I don't think they can bat for long. In the first innings it looked like England would lose this match but really they made a great comeback in the second innings.
England won this test match against India by 28 runs.  England scored 420 in the second innings, and the Test match was awarded to Pope.  He played brilliantly, completed his century and scored a total of 196 runs.  He set a high score target for his team and T Hartley also played well in England's bowling side, single handedly taking 7 wickets for India.  He scored 62 runs in 26 overs and took 7 wickets, setting a high record for the bowling side in this match.

In today's match, Ollie Pope has almost completed 200 runs but he was out at 196 runs, and by the way, whenever any player was out at 196 so only one thing comes to mind which is Babar Azam's 196 runs against the Australian team and that was the day where first-time Australian players clapped to some player after out. Babar Azam was out at 196 and all the players of the Australian team clapped for him for the first time for any player in cricket history. Some 196 runs is much better than 200.  Think this is a form of Ollie Pope which allows him to play more in the England team.

Apart from this win by England, I would like to tell you something Interesting. This is a post where you will learn about a thing that I am sure you don't know.

So, let's start did you know, that Martin Guptill has just 2 toes on his both feet, and the other finger of his foot he doesn't have, and the second player is Pat Cummins (The captain of the Australia team) doesn't have the upper part of his second finger and his first finger and third finger is equal but senior players of Australia tell this that it is good because it helps to swing a ball, these are the players who playing at this time, but a senior player of Pakistan Waqar Younis don't have third finger of his hand and he did swing very much without third finger of his hand that he used to ball.

I play gully cricket and from my experience 2 fingers+thumb is enough to swing the ball.

In Search of Incredible
And if that wasn't enough, Poms also humbled Indians on their turf. Both wins will become folktales for sure and purists won't forget this.
Those are indeed going to be folktale, both favourite teams have lost the match in their home ground. Both matches became interesting to watch at the final stage, and it was like a fight or flight situation for the last two batters. And I didn't expect India to lose this match against England. India was still favourite in the match even after the second innings of England. I had placed a bet on India to win after the day 1, where the odds was 1.05× only.

England beat India by 28 runs in a thriller. Indian middle order failed, and their tail showed some resistance but was unable to save the test match for India. Gill is a continuous flop in the recent innings, but I think he should be given more chances to prove his mettle in red-ball cricket. Ollie Pop played a blinder in the third innings. After seeing the target, I thought India would easily win this match, but 7 wicket haul from Tom Hartley put the final nail in the coffin. Today, every cricket fan witnessed a peak level test cricket where two favourite teams lost their respective matches at home.

Totally unexpected. No one could have predicted India to lose at that target. India had one and a half day to reach 231, all they would have to do was  hold the wickets and they failed exactly to do that. England did bowled in an excellent line and length but still stumping and run out are the stupidest way to get out in a Test and India was successful in getting 3 of them. With that good 1st inning it's surprising how Indian team chocked today. Most credit for the win goes to Ollie Pope who stayed all the way through England's second innings.
There are still 4 more test to be played but England are already in the lead and would come with more confidence on the ground.

Bloody hell! What a day for a test cricket.

The Windies breached Gaba and won their first test in Australia after 27-ish years. Brain Lara is crying on comms, this tells you how special this win is for the Caribbean.

Today, Two back to back great matches on very same day and I want to say Test cricket peaked.

Windies broke the fortress Gabba against very strong opponents. But the great drama is Eng vs India, England won the match by 28 runs after giving lead of 190 runs to India in the first innings.

Ollie Pope played greatest test innings from a visiting nation in the modern era and contributed two catches at silly point and the heavily criticized debutant Hartley came back and came back hard in the second innings by taking 7 wickets and conceding only 62 runs in 26 overs. Indian lower order fought really hard after the top order collapse but couldn't get through in the final stage.

West Indies created new history by winning by 8 runs against Australia in the second Test match. After 30 years, West Indies won a Test match on Australian soil. West Indies' celebration at the end showed how desperate they were for this win. After taking the last wicket, every player of the West Indies team went to the front of the gallery and celebrated hugely, feeling like they had achieved something big.  Celebrations might be like this when a team wins against a team after a long time. Smith was at the wicket if the strike had been rotated for some reason then West Indies might have lost this match but Shamar Joseph didn't let that happen he got out last ball to give the team such a join and himself celebrated a lot, congrats west indies

West Indies team won a match by 8 runs, what a match is it. Hazlewood was the last wicket. This is the first match of West Indies that they won in 2024.

West Indies won against Australia while they were present in Australia. Today is the day when the West Indies won against Australia after 27 years in Australia. They created a history they will never forget this match. By the way, it's happiness but once a time we say them a 'black storm' and now we are happy that they won against Australia in Australia. They won the first two ICC ODIS World Cups and now we are excited about this type of win.
At the end when Australia needed eight runs to win and West Indies needed just 1 wicket to win, the noise in the stadium was truly enjoyable. I have to say that cricket has won this match today, I really did not think that Australia's second Test match against West Indies will be so full of competition.

The West Indies team started with a loss in the first test match and it was assumed that West Indies would lose against Australia in the second test match because as per the past statistics West Indies' record in the last few years on the Australian soil was not good at all. But leaving all these things behind, Australia won this match. Australia lost the match but the Australian fans greeted the West Indies with applause. It goes without saying that this is certainly a huge get for the West Indies in this era of cricket.

^ inning from Pope put England in position where bowlers had something to defend, but it was doable chase, sole indian batting unit is to be blamed for this loss.

🎗️🍁🎭
The 26-year-old Ollie Pope of the England team scored 196 runs. Best performance for England team but unfortunately he could not score a double century. Because after he got out other batsmen got out. Now the batsmen of Indian team started batting in the second innings today, already 4 wickets down for Indian team. Now Rahul stands as the strongest batsman at the crease, if he gets out then the batsmen in the main phase will run out of strength. England team's bowling performance is so good today that it seems more likely to win in the second innings. If England's bowling can break the partnership of Shreyas Iyer and Rahul then I think it is possible for England to win today.
England batsman Ollie Pope was the only run scored today, ending his brilliant innings of 196 runs and winning the game. England team managed to give a good lead in the first match, but could not fill that lead in the next innings. But it has to be conceded that England batsman Ollie Pope was at his best and just four runs short of his double century unfortunately failed to complete the target with outs. The way England batted on the fourth day and collected a big score was a big score for the Indian team. However, on the fourth day, India fell short of the target set by England and lost the match by 28 runs. England won the Test match. But the best bowler in today's match we saw Tom Hartley he managed to take 7 wickets which was very impressive and his bowling was interesting which made the audience think. Due to Tom Hartley's bowling performance, today's match easily defeated India and the England team succeeded in winning the match.

Ohhhhhhh no wicket no.10 & 11 can't save the match...
Mohammad Siraj and Jusprit Bumrah could not save this partnership for India. Today's over could have started the fifth day's play in a new way, but today's game ended here due to an unexpected stumping out. I never thought England would win this match by 28 runs. Of course Ollie Pope's crucial innings of 196 runs played a big role in winning this match but in the end India managed to save this match. But I will blame the failure of the Indian top order batsmen for now. The failure of Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer in particular is being considered as one of the main reasons for the defeat in this match.

Gill should be replaced with Patidar in next game, let Gill play IPL and find his form. Plus, captain should stop changing batting positions, it didn't work in ODIWC where Surya was kept for 'late' and Jadeja was sent upwards and today too Axar was sent instead of Iyer, and didn't help either.

edit: and England wins by 28 runs. Well done!

What an outstanding display of cricket by the West Indies team. They have done the impossible. After a small total, the match was almost over for them, but they bowled exceptionally to win. Smith was the lone warrior in this run chase. Shamar Joseph did the impossible; he took 7 wickets with an injured toe. WI won a test match in Australia after 27 long years.
I am loving this. This is why everyone should watch Test cricket. Another thriller is going on between India and England.

230 runs is not a big target to chase but the way Indian batters are playing it looks like a big target. I guess they forgot that they have another day left to chase those runs. Shubhman Gill should be dropped from the next test match he is out of form and have no clue. He wasted a lot of balls but didn't get good runs and in the second innings he was kind to the team by getting a duck. Hitman is still batting and looking good. KL Rahul has joined him after India lost 2 wickets in quick succession. Feeling sorry for Pope missing a big opportunity for only 4 runs is very bad for a batter.

The target of 231 runs was not a big target for India at all, but no one could have imagined that India would fall into a batting disaster like this. But India still has a chance to win this match as there are endless overs and a full day but India have only three wickets in hand where a big partnership is needed out of these three wickets. Especially if Sikhar Bharat and Robichandan Ashwin form a big partnership, India have the potential. Today is still over 10 overs till the end of the third session if India can keep this pair unbeaten then India will definitely have a chance to win.

Looks like India is missing Kohli as if he was present the situation would have been different. A small target has been made to look like a big one due to bad batting. Tom Hartley single handedly destroyed the Indian batting as he took 6 wickets and may took another if given a chance. India has lost 9 wickets and are struggling to get 54 runs. A massive win for England and a big jolt to India as they are getting defeated on their home ground.

While scrolling my Facebook I came to know that West Indies got there first win in Australia since 1997. I checked the score card to confirm that. Its a huge upset, everyone was expecting an easy win from Australian side but it went other way round. Australians were too sure about there victory that they declared there innings when they still have one wicket in hand. Australians gave West Indies lead of 22 runs in first innings and they lost the match by 8 runs.
