The second test between West Indies and Zimbabwe is underway, and it's lunch now. It's not a good start for Zimbabwe, who chose to bat after winning the toss. Five wickets have gone down, and the score is just 70. Seems like Zimbabwe will finish there first innings around 150 as Craig Ervine is the only recognized batsmen left.
Look like Zimbabwe will lose the second and last test match of this test series, they choose to bat first but they didn't score a lot in order to put pressure on westindies batter during chase, the highest runs from entire Zimbabwe batting lineup is 38 which has been scored by I.Kaia while two other batter score just 22, 23 , this is so shameful performance from them but I think we can expect such kind of bad performances from such kind of small teams, they just score 115 in 40 overs, while on the other hand westindies lose his four wicket in 37th over but thier batter already done Thier job before dismissal. Hope they will lead alot tomorrow

I did not think that Zimbabwe would perform as badly in the second match as in the first match. The batsmen needed to bat more responsibly in this match. Their performance today was worse than the first match. They lost all the wickets to collect only 115 runs. Innocent Kaia scored the highest 38 runs for the team. West Indies scored 133 runs and lost 4 wickets. I guess West Indies will collect atleast 250. And it doesn't look like Zimbabwe will be able to score 200 runs in the second innings. The condition of their batsmen is very weak now.

Zimbabwe cricket does well in other two formats but they have quite weakness in test cricket. But despite being weak, their one good point is that they have managed to draw a match in this series. They could have done better if their prominent player participated in this Test cricket. Their score was not big in the last Test match of the series so their chances of losing this match would be high.
Zimbabwe test performance is really below average and is very bad as compared to T20 and ODI.  Today they bat very bad and west indies is now on lead of 18 runs and still it's day1 so West Indies will give a big target to Zimbabwe and might win this test.

Well, This was a dream test match innings for Gudakesh Motie. He got his first five-wicket haul against Zimbabwe. He got seven wickets and conceded only 37 runs. Team Zimbabwe was able to score 115 and all out. Team west Indies already scored 133 and got 18 runs lead. Zimbabwe played well in the last test match. But, In this match, Zimbabwe's batters could not stand in front of Gudakesh Motie. This was the first day of this match. Still a long way to go. I hope Zimbabwe bowlers will try to get some early wicket tomorrow and pack them up as soon as they can.

Zimbabwe batting was impressive only in the first innings of first test match when they scored 379 runs and declared the innings. Zimbabwe today were bowled out in just 40.5 overs and this tells the story that Zimbabwe test performance need improvement. 14 wickets have gone down on very first day so defiantly we will see result of this test.

He's spot on with everything and the only sane voice in former cricketers, he's also against the star culture in Indian cricket and recently he applied for the selection committee but got rejected as he's not a Yes Man.
KL Rahul should be kicked out of the test and ODI squads, but deserves more chances in the T-20 squad primarily because he is a phenomenal T-20 player. His keeping skills are nothing amazing either.

He is one of the very, very few good looking Indian players which helped him a lot despite his inconsistent performances.

Likey but there is another scenario for Ind vs SL final if...

- India wins 4-0 against Aus
- SL wins 1-0 or 2-0 against Kiwis
- Windies wins against SA
All three scenarios seem unlikely. In the first case, I am expecting India to win(2-1) while the remaining match will end as a draw. In the second case, I am expecting Sri Lanka and Kiwis to win one match each.

In the third case, I am expecting South Africa to win against Windies. These are my random predictions basically.
Yeah, i like to believe the same as you and teosanru but cricket is a funny game so i am open to everything.

It would be very disappointing if we get to see any draw in this series. Both teams are good and i think there won't be dud pitches in the next matches. Having said that if a draw comes on the difficult pitch then i am up for it because it requires an A game from both teams, which would be a treat to watch.

Skipper Rohit mentioned something really interesting after the match, he basically said that these guys put a lot of pressure on him regarding who should bowl first and from what end as they are too good and want to touch milestones as quickly as possible lol. Tells you a lot about how competitive this duo is and still very good friends.

I thought captaincy is difficult only under losing conditions after this statement of Rohit I realise how difficult it is in winning conditions as well. You have to make sure you don't lose your shit while you are been presussred by your teammates and also have to make sure all the team mates are happy with your decisions because eventually their performance is going to be dependent on that.

This is the video, in Hindi but too funny haha

Venkatesh Prasad is not happy with KL Rahul

Found it on Twitter yesterday and I thought of sharing it here.

In my opinion, he is correct and none of the veterans are questioning this guy's ability to bat on any format. His selection is purely based on favoritism and not performance. What do you guys think?

Zimbabwe in their second test match bat first and got all out in 115 runs and it's day 1 . This is some really bad batting by Zimbabwe,  now West Indies is batting and this is going to be a advantage for West Indies as they have plenty of days to score runs and win this test match.

MOST WICKETS IN TEST BY INDIAN

  • Ravichandran Ashwin - 451 - Ranked 2nd
  • Ravinder Jadeja - 246 - Ranked 8th

India's all-time Test wicket taker is Anil Kumble (619) who is second only to Ravichandran Ashwin's 451 wickets, 43 matches less. However, Ravindra Jadeja is number 8 with 246 wickets. If Ashwin can sustain his performance and play 43 more Test matches, though unlikely, Anil Kumble record can be broken. The interesting thing is that till now no one has played the second maximum number of matches in Indian cricket by performing as well as Anil Kumble. Although Sachin Tendulkar retired after playing the most Test matches of 200.

LOL! Going into the history book matters more to players in there short career span. How Rohit has been handling these guys shows how good his management skills are as a captain. I am not sure if other captains in the past had face such problems. This also proves how good these bowlers have been since they started their career.
Anil Kumble takes the first position as the leading wicket taker for India and 4th place overall. Ashwin have reached the 9th position as leading wicket taker overall in 89 matches. During his rest of the cricketing career possibly he would reach the maximum of 600 wickets. Among that he holds 31 five wickets haul and 7 ten wickets haul. In this Muthiah Muralidaran stands on the top with 800 wickets is 133 matches with 67 five wickets haul and 22 ten wickets haul. In upcoming days of cricket I don't think this record could be broken.

We are all the pieces of what we remember.
All hail Ashwin and Jadeja! These two are timeless players who keep rescuing India again and again with both the bat and the ball in the test format. Players like Axar etc are basically following in their footsteps.

Australia is messing up their plans currently, but I still feel that both these teams will make it to the WTC finals no matter what.

Ashwin got eight wickets in this match and Jadeja got 7. That is absolutely great from both of them. At the start, I did not think that Australia was going to lose this match, let alone lose by innings. This is absolutely great performance from India.

I'm still confident about Australia and India being the finalist of the world test championship. But I think Australia needs to improve. This type of performance is not going to get them toward the final in my opinion.

I have feeling just first Scenarios is possible with all other two are not going to happen even everything is possible in cricket but with the current form of these teams most chances we are not going to have other results like Sri Lanka wins in New Zealand realistically not possible because Kiwis are having better quality and their performance is also good specially after having good tour of Pakistan they can do better against Sri Lanka with West Indies is surely far behind in quality, and they can win against South Africa which is also desperate for win after having humiliating defeat in Australia and this is good opportunity for them to have better things in this format and improving their statics as well.

I never expected the match to end on day 3. I was in the impression that Australia will hold on till day 4. No doubt this match showed how poor Australian batters are against spin bowling. Ashwin & Jadeja were the two pillars of Indian team that made this incredible win look so easy.

Congratulations to team India on defeating Australia by an innings and 132 runs.
I was expecting result like this with most chances we are going to have this match ends in three or four days just because of this I put good amount on India as odds were also good because after this result most chances we are not going to have odds like these in coming matches and this is good investment for short term instead of putting some money on crypto in any exchange and rate of Indian team for the second test win is also gone down @1.5 as Delhi is also going to be not suitable place for the Australian on this tour, and they are not having any chance for the bounce back into BGT.

For me most chances India will go into second test match without any change as things are going positive with these all guys, just SKY is having not good time on debut in this format.

I didn't expect the quick end as well, but I was thinking that India could win the match by an innings. Jadeja has played really well in this test. Ashwin is the key player for India now in test matches if the pitch is in favour of spin bowlers.

- India wins 4-0 against Aus
- SL wins 1-0 or 2-0 against Kiwis
- Windies wins against SA
There is no chance to see such results of those series. The WTC final will be between Australia and India.

I was not happy with the way KS Bharat did his keeping and batting in the first match. Do you guys think that Ishan Kishan would be now included in the second test match?

Nah he should stay and shouldn't be touched by anyone in absence of Pant, he's the superior WK batter on the turning track.

but I still feel that both these teams will make it to the WTC finals no matter what.
