The scoreline could've been 280-290 if they were a bit careful with those extras. In the first inning, extras made the second highest mode of runs for Australia, hope that doesn't come back to haunt Pakistan. That's where subcontinent bowlers always get carried away with the extra bounce and pace.
Apart from the extras, there were some dropped catches as well. Anything below 300 would have given a psychological advantage for Pakistan. When they got Mitchell Starc out, the score was 275/7. And it was 286/8 when Mitchell Marsh got out. But then the tailenders (Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood) added valuable runs and took them to 318. So far Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq have started well against Starc/Hazlewood/Cummins. By the end of today's play we will get an idea about who is having the upper hand in this match.
