Australia vs South Africa test match have reached the final day. South Africa trail by 174 runs at the end of session 2. As a day's game isn't played due to rain, this match have turned to be a draw. If not this could've been a winning match for Australia. Already Australia leads the test series 2-0 and now it is a draw. So there is no more changes. The win keeps Australia strong for the upcoming tour of India.
The series is won by Australia 2-0. There is a great balance within the Australian team, coupled with one of the most cohesive units I have ever witnessed. This match is hard to judge due to West Indies' outclassing and South Africa's terrible performance. The real test will be in India. The chances of Australia winning this time around are better. The only balanced team in tests at the moment is Australia.

Naseem Shah proves himself in times of need . He can be a good batsman in emergency situations like this so he needs to be worked on.
Pakistan could have won the match but risk was higher as they didn't have wickets in hand.
Team Pakistan has many shining star which shine time by time. Wink
By the way if they practice and focus more so they can easily get more weak points. Which they can improve later by practice. A popular quotation we have read many times that is " Practice makes man perfect". So Pakistan team will improve itself soon I think so.
Yes, Practice makes man perfect. This quote suits everyone and in every activity. It is like Pakistan team is away from cricket for a long and now once again getting back after the break. No team were touring Pakistan which truly destroy its performance. Now slowly getting back on track and can expect good development in the coming tournaments.

Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed had made 17 runs partnership by facing 21 balls. Which was quite unexpected at the moment. They are lucky to survive their by facing the spin bowlers. Fast bowlers could have created more pressure on them. It was a very close game for both teams. That's why the long lunch break and umpires decision (to use the spin bowlers) has raised a lot of questions.

Did you forget that Naseem shah Hited Consecutive sixes in the T20 World cup and won the Match against Afghanistan?
This guy needs to spend more time on batting sessions for such emergencies.
That day - it was his luck - he never played this way after that.
But we can hope that he can come up as a good batsman

Yes. It was luck. Sometimes we have to rely on luck as well.
Nothing is impossible. There is a lot of batters who started their careers as a bowler.

Also, Pakistan could have lost the match as well.
But that tail-ender saved the match.

Batting in such a situation is not so task to do. Most of the batsmen do not play with courage when the team needs few runs and there are no wickets left. When both are considered as bowlers, it is more difficult to handle their pressure. Naseem Shah scored 15 runs off 11 balls in those tough conditions including 1 six and two 4 boundaries. His strike rate was 136. In fact, he played a difficult position and converted the match in draw ‍and Abrar Ahmed gave good company with him.

With Australia at the top of Tests and Bangladesh at the bottom, there is a lot of variation between these two teams in Test cricket. There is an opportunity for Australia to form a team separately in test cricket because for Australia there is an opportunity to form a team by selecting talented cricketers with patience, thoughtfulness, taste but for Bangladesh this opportunity is not available. Those who get a chance to play in ODIs and T20s in Bangladesh also get a chance in Tests. There is no opportunity to select talented cricketers with thoughtful tastes. Because of this, Bangladesh is far behind in Test cricket. Bangladesh has to make a lot of changes in cricket management to get out of all these limitations. Not at all possible for Bangladesh.

Let's suppose the match was not called off by umpires 3 overs earlier. Then the match was completely in hands of New Zealand because as soon as Pakistan would have been 6 to 8 runs margin, the New Zealand Captain would have opted again for fast bowlers and the match would have been ended there. So technically New Zealand would not lose the Match and Pakistan had to survive to save the match.

We have many things which needed answers from PCB and their all system but right now no one care about this all with they are having issues and trying to avoid few things for me in these both matches New Zealand is winners because both time they were in winning position, and we have bad light which create problems if they understand then why they are starting matches at local time 10 AM they can start this all at 9:30 or 9 AM as well which is also good time in Karachi for the start of match and with if you have long lunch break then surely you also need to adjust this all before start of the match as well but no one care about this which is surely not acceptable for the game and results of the match even Naseem Shah and Abrar survive for more than 3 overs but still things can adjust, and we can bring positive results from these matches.

15 runs to win and 3 overs in the bank.

But who cares for results? Umpires bring the light rule and politely say that's enough for today and handshakes!

4.5 days of boring cricket and when things got interesting, here came another freaking draw. 1-0 or 0-1 to either team looks much better than 0-0.

I think its more relief for Pakistan as New Zealand were trying hard for victory and Pakistan finally manage to draw a home test series after 2 test series loss. Naeem Shah was looking good and he took the game very close to finish but who knows there is one ball waiting for him. I do agree that result is much better then 0-0.
Sarafraz has came back perfectly well after 4 years. I think this is Shahid Afridi decision.
I saw Shahid Afradi's daughters so happy on Sarfraz's performance.
With the addition of Shahid Afridi in the squad there is so many changes coming up

In 59 overs South Africa have scored 149 runs losing 6 wickets. Jansen and Harmer on the crease, if South Africa innings ends in the third session then there is more winning chance for Australia. Maybe the rain too can be a reason for the bad performance from South Africa. After the pitch being wet for a day, surely there'll be some changes in the pitch condition.
Rain saves South Africa from whitewash and now this is going to be ended with 2 - 0 for Australia because we have only one complete day in this last test match with today end of fourth days play Australia is having good command in this test match as well but now on last day they can't take 14 wickets.

Australian top order batting doing amazing stuff which is surely good for them because Khawaja, Smith and Labuschagne all doing amazing stuff for the team and after them Bowlers like Hazelwood and Cummins are also doing things perfectly in absence of Starc hopefully we will have one of the best and challenging series in India while two top teams will face each other on Indian soil for the 4 test match series.

New Zealand tried really hard to get a result, but failed as a result of ICC rules and bad luck. In the end, it turned out to be another boring draw which would add a few more nails in test format's coffin. This bilateral series makes no sense. PCB prepares dead tracks, so that their team can sneak in with a draw. Still, New Zealand were so close to a win. All credit to the New Zealand captain (Tim Southee) for injecting some life into this otherwise illogical test series. Anyway, the torture is over now. Test series drawn at 0-0.
In last three test series at home PCB is completely exposed as one of the worst cricket board in the world because their poor facilities and bad management bring them defeated in two series and in last against hardly they earned draw just because of thanks to bad light in both matches which is surely joke for the world and cricketing community they need to improve things for the future or have to face consequences if they are not going to improve things for having better results.

Today I was reading they are going to appeal against Rawalpindi pitch demerit point as this was second after having against Australia, but sadly they are not improving things for better and fair play, but they want things with other ways which is also not suitable for them because they have to improve their system and domestic network as well.

Sarfaraz literally gave an answer to all those who was questioning his selection and performance.  The way he ayed in this test series is brilliant 3 half centuries and 1 century  well done .

And yes for yesterday's match  I think just one more over should be given in order to bring the match to a definite result.  As Newzealand have 1 wicket remaining and Pakistan has few runs to chase . I don't think the lighting was thus much issue to stop game before 2 overs and call it a draw.
Sarfaraz done good job in this series but keep one thing in mind now he is already near 36 which mean his game is almost ended so most chances PCB will give him sometime as batsman, and then he announces his retirement like Azhar Ali which will be good for him and his career in PSL with Rizwan is surely first choice for next few years in all three formats and things could be good for him hopefully now we have few changes in this team after end of series which was surely going into New Zealand was but sadly bad light prevent them to have second series won against Pakistan as they were clearly at top and need only one wicket which was not difficult even Pakistan needs another 15 runs which was big deal in presence of Abrar Ahmed and Naseem Shah but still good fight from the Pakistan after losing top five wickets quickly.

Draw tests due to bad light are more of an ICC problem because of their lack of flexibility in the rules.

Broadcasters also play some part in it because everybody knew that in the end bad light is going to play its part, it happened in the first test too. Match could've been started 15-30 mins early.

PCB too share some responsibility as they introduce a long lunch break on Friday due to Namaz prayers, no one will raise this question because of political correction but I don't remember Bangladesh implementing such rules.
Whatever happened won't get unnoticed by the International cricket community. The only good thing that happened with the Pakistan team is that Sarfaraz played a Captains knock while the real captain coud not. If he had gotten out then the match would have gone in favour of the Kiwi side. PCB should consider this guy as a replacement of the present captain for test cricket.
Actually, no one cares except a few and their opinions hardly matter to ICC and nothing is going to change at all. ICC rules are way too rigid. They are very proactive in deducting points if teams failed to ball their overs quota in an hour despite the match finishing in time but they won't do anything about this.

I consider Rizwan good package than Sarfaraz but the latter really played well in this series so he deserves all the credit for his batting, although his wicketkeeping was dodgy in this series.
