They have only been able to get 183 in 66 overs which is not much honestly. But Pakistan has to start picking up quick wickets as well. No one from Australia has a strike rate of 50 or more so far and Pakistan will have to keep putting pressure on them to get wickets. Fielding of Pakistan has to improve.

India are struggling in the first test match at Centurion against the South African. They have lost 3 wickets for 58 runs. None of the top order batsmen was able to make any good runs.

The good news for the Indian team is that Virat Kohli is still at the crease and batting on 19. He needs to play a big innings along with Shreyas Ilyas and other batsmen to come, if India needs to give a reasonable total.

In case, they lost one or more quick wickets, then India team may be all out under 200 runs and from this situation it will be hard for the them to recover in this test match. Still a lot more time to go in the test though.

Abhimanyu Easwaran has been one of the consistent performers in Ranji Trophy for quite some time. While the media whines about the case of Sarfaraz Khan, they ignore that of others like Abhimanyu. There are a few others like him in domestic cricket, such as Manisankar Murasingh of Tripura, Rex Singh of Manipur and Aniket Choudhary of Rajasthan. Bengal's poor recent form hasn't helped him either. Even in this series, he has been called up as a backup player and there is no chance that he will get to play.

No doubt we have too many players in Ranji Trophy those are doing impressive performance for the long time but here I want to say we also have to understand Indian playing pool is too big, and we can allow only 11 players for the team with currently we have some good players and with this now from new pool they can bring just few players so from these few will be ignored, and we will be face other issues which will not allow them to have chance selectors can bring all players and having them into squad.

But as things are going, and we have players it's good news for the BCCI, but now it's time for them as well to bring changes into their domestic system which will help players for having more finances and other things which will help them to staying at better level for the long time.

The 2nd test between Australia and Pakistan is in progress and till now Australia has made 143 runs with only 2 wickets down. This means that again Australia have started well and they are on the top in this match.
Both the openers David Warner and Usman Khawaja started well but could not make a big score and were out in their 40s. Marnus Labuschagne is looking at 35 along with Steven Smith.

Agha Salman and Hassan Ali were able to take one wicket each, however the main strike bowlers for Pakistan Shaheen Shah Afridi remains wicketless bowling 18 overs. Let us see what target the Australian team will give to Pakistan on this Melbourne test.

And shortly after, the first match of the two-match Test series is going to start at Centurion where India will be the opponent of South Africa. Rohit Sharma-led Indian team wants to win this Test match as India have never won a Test series in South Africa. Along with experienced players like Kohli and Sharma, there will be an eye on young talents like Jaiswal who can make an impact in this series. Sami is out of the team due to an ankle injury, but Prasidh Krishna, who got a place in the team as his replacement, may make his debut in today's match.
