England showed great dominance in the fourth Test. But they failed to win the match due to rain. England's batsmen were not able to bat well in the fifth and final Test match. England's innings ended with just 283 runs. The team should have collected at least more than 350 in the first innings.

Australia's two openers started their innings well. Australia collected 44 runs without losing any wicket. Usman Khawaja remained unbeaten on 17 and Dawid Warner on 23. If Australia's top order plays well, the team will collect big. Even in the first innings, Australia has the possibility of taking a lead of 150-200 runs.

English batting now with good partnership from Moeen Ali 10 runs and Harry Brook 48 runs before the lunch.The England had scored of 131/3 in 26 overs before a lunch.After the three big wickets,Zak,Ben was removed by Cummins.The bowling of the Cummins was very good and Ben Duckett was scored 41 runs.But Cummins had stopped him from scoring his fifty against Australia,but Brook had started his game followed by the game of Duckett.England had huge pressure to win this match to save the ashes from Australia.Many expected the century from the Ben Duckett,but due to his bad luck he had failed the century.The England should score minimum of 600 runs in this first half batting.So then Moeen Ali will take care of Australian run scoring.

At this moment you can't predict anything with this English team.

One might look at the scorecard and say they are 7 down, tail is exposed and not enough runs on the board but at the same time, this team is becoming unpredictable. I won't be surprised if they even touch the 300 mark or surpass it.

I agree that the win for the Pakistan team was a good and convincing one but we should not forget that it was against a small team Srilanka. I call them a small team because their recent performances are not so good. So considering this, one should not make up the mind that the Pakistan team is a champion of test matches or something similar.

Still, i am not taking the reward away from the Pakistan team as they played good cricket as a team and won this test match by 222 runs. Srilanka failed to bat in this test match and was out on 166 & 188 respectively in first and second innings.

It proves Sri Lanka has much room to improve their performance on both the batting and bowling side. Noman Ali alone destroyed their batting lineup. It's good for Pakistan that youngsters like Noman Ali, Shafique, Agha Salman, Abrar Ahmed and Naseem Shah perform for their team.

I don't know many players from Pakistan Except for experienced players like Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Rizwan. Overall performance was awesome and they won the series already while the Asia Cup is heading.

Pakistani players have shown great performance in batting and bowling during Sri Lanka tour. I did not expect such a poor performance from Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka had enough mistakes in their plans and they couldn't stay patient on the wicket which is why they did poorly in this Test. Sri Lanka is not having a good time in cricket at the moment. Sri Lanka should come out of this situation very quickly.

England's Bazball approach is something else. Harry Brook is playing like a monster and transformed this game from a test to a T-20 match. All teams need to adopt his approach asap in tests since it's so damn entertaining.

Also, the golden days of teams like Sri Lanka and West Indies might never return based on their performances in recent years.

If some key players whose performance will prolong their match and fight for victory do not perform well then the match is sure to be lost. Some of the reliable players in the Srilanka team like Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis, Mathews, Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva could not play consistently. Some played in the 1st innings and some got few runs in the 2nd innings. The biggest thing is that they could not take all the wickets of Pakistan in the 2nd Test match. Pakistan played brilliantly in the 2nd Test which resulted in them winning the 2nd Test by 222 runs.

And Pakistan still has a whole day and one session to get four wickets. the only positive thing that might actually come out from this test match for Sri Lanka is probably going to be the half-century of Mathews 48(111). Actually the balance of Sri Lankan team was completely lost as Sri Lankan spinner department failed completely during Pakistan's innings but Pakistani spinner bowler Noman Ali collected 6 wickets against Pakistan at the same ground. Then Sri Lankan spinner Jayasuriya, Ramesh Mendis could not bring any breakthrough for Sri Lanka but Pakistani spinner Noman Ali did exactly the same and proved that the balance of Sri Lankan team is imbalanced.

I am sure Sri Lanka is going to lose by innings. They batted terribly in the first innings. The team collected only 166 runs. Sri Lanka's overall performance was very poor mainly due to the poor batting of the top order.

In the second innings as usual Sri Lanka's top-order players could not perform well. Sri Lanka scored 124 runs. But they have lost 4 top-order batsmen. Angelo Mathews and Dhananjaya are now batting. They are the most experienced batsmen in the Sri Lankan squad. And with the loss of these two wickets, it won't be long before Sri Lanka's innings ends. The Sri Lanka team is still behind by 286 runs.
