In Search of Incredible
Australia need just another six wickets and still having ~60 run lead hence I guess they might need to chase only less than 100 runs to win this match by considering how quickly England batters are giving up their wickets.
Everything will depend on Root and Stokes batting performance. England won't be able to take the lead of 100 runs or more if they fail to make a good partnership from this point. Whatever happens, Australia will easily win the third test match like they have won the first two games.

Early in the second day, the English bowlers found the truck. Before lunch, the Australian team collected 131/4. Now Head and Harri are at the crease. If these two batsmen are out before the end of the second session then England will be able to fight in the second innings. Otherwise, Australia will give a lead of at least 150 runs. As a result, another humiliating defeat awaits England.
Right now Australia have gained good momentum considering the starting overs. Somehow it has managed to score 219 runs losing 8 wickets. More two wickets left which will probably allow Australia to score around 250 runs. Anyhow Australia will set around 50 runs lead. Pat Cummins on the crease and this time England have got a chance to make use of it.
England is struggling right now after trailing by 82 runs. Mitchel Starc's brilliant 2 wickets in two balls made England in back foot but after that Boland took another 2 wickets in 3 balls to ensure Australia's dominance toward clinching this series (but the last wicket was a top order batman it is Jack Leach, seemed trying to play a night watchman role).

Guess he'll get another long rope for next 6-7 matches, as usual.
Rahane is still in the create hope he too can convert it to a big century.
Rahand got a stash of nudes and videos of each n everyone ( Dada, Koach, Golu Shah and every selectors). If by any chance he gets drop from the team he'll release everything to media.

Very good day for India! 272/3
~snip~

This is the best thing I saw on the internet today  Grin Grin  KL Rahul proving once again that he can bat very nicely under responsibilities and new conditions, he is not far away from becoming a legendary cricket after Kohli retires, he is the only batsman who is becoming a key and consistent player for the team in all the three formats, no wonder why he is the very first preference is everyone's mind for the next captain. I don't know if it's just me or everyone but I think this South Africa team is by far the weakest team India has toured in the history of South African Test tours.
Jaffer is meme lord in cricket community. He posts some quality stuff every now n then when India is playing. India is lucky to have 4-5 quality openers and everyone is performing whenever they get the chance. Hope he gets the daddy hundred.

Protea's attack didn't look threatening yesterday but i won't count them out when playing at home because of nature of pitches. Credit goes to our batters.

With just 3 wickets for 272 runs, India managed to finish the first day well enough. However, it was only for opener KL Rahul. Virat Kohli has performed poorly in the last few series. He recently lost the captaincy. So I thought I would see a better innings than him in this match. But he has collected only 35 runs. This is not enough collection in test format. We haven't seen a century from him in a long time.
Time has come to drop him perhaps? Kohli has been the backbone of Indian batting since time immemorial. But recently, his form has been less than satisfactory. Combined with his involvement in the team politics, I would say that his overall contribution has been negative. I personally believe that he should be rested for the next series and asked to play a few of the domestic matches, so that he could regain his form. Shreyas Iyer or Venkatesh Iyer can be included in his place for the next series.

I will not say that it is time to drop Kohli, he is still one of the best players in the world. But he needs to rest. He should rest a few matches against strong teams. He should be given a chance in the series against a relatively weak opponent. If he can get back to form then we will see his destructive form again. South Africa is not a very strong opponent. Kohli should play well in this series. If that doesn't happen, he should be sent to rest for the next few series.
Right now two options for Kohli one is he can take break from cricket for few months and then came back which will be good for him because too much cricket is also having some bad impact on his form. Secondly he keeps playing and try to avoid all other things like currently involved into few debates and issues with board which are giving him pressure which is not good for his future and Indian cricket because surely he is one off best batsman in current cricket world. Now it's more than two years he is not having century in any test inning which is also having some criticism on him, hopefully BCCI will also give him some good favour for having his future secure as good batsman.

BTW, anyone watching the third test from Ashes? Things have got interesting, with England fighting back and picking up 4 of the Australian wickets (including those of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne).

Very good day for India! 272/3

I felt like SA didn't bowl that well and kinda failed on their line n length but not taking anything from the Indian batsmen. They bided their time during tough conditions and left ball well, except koach ofc.

KL Rahul is excellent example that break is sometime good for you and team. Rahane sealed his position for this series.  Grin

It was gutsy call from the Kohli to bat first.

Disappointed for Vihari, Mumbai's lobby always get what it wants and Rahane enjoying that big rope. Agree he should be drop for good but what would happen if he finds some form here? Guess he'll get another long rope for next 6-7 matches, as usual.
It was a good toss to win and usually Virat Kohli does not have the luck whenever he tosses the coin and tomorrow is crucial as the pitch will be a bit faster than today and a couple of wickets and the tail will be exposed. KL Rahul played an incredible innings and Rahane is still in the create hope he too can convert it to a big century.

The only disappointment was Pujara going for a golden duck, the rest of the players had luck as i have seen many inside edge not brushing with the stumps and a good day overall .

England team lost the form very terribly. After a badly defeated in the first two Test matches, the first day of the third Test was also a horror for them. They lost all the wickets for just 185 runs. Root has scored 50 runs for the team. Australia's collection at the end of the first day is 61/1. Australia still lagging 124.
England was overrated team for this tour because many analysts were feeling they will give some good fight but at the end it's happening nothing just Root giving some resistance all other batting line-up is giving like crap specially their most overrated players Stokes is also completely failure which is big setback for England team. With just 185/10 is look like this is another big defeat for them and if tomorrow Australians able to have some good start then surely they will give them some good lessons in batting and Labuchagne, Steven Smith and Heads are waiting for another big show my prediction about this match is England will lose by an inning because now 400+ surely going to be big score for Aussies, and they can bowl out England cheaply in second inning.

Spectacular innings from the Indian team on day one. Could have been quite tricky at the point Kohli got out. It has happened many times to me to see Virat Kohli attempt to play a delivery outside the box and lose his wicket. To see he didn't take advantage of his great start and not use this batting condition is very disappointing. Rohane had a great start to the innings. KL was simply fantastic. KL Rahul deserves all the praise for his performance. He has always had class, and now he appears to be adding that consistency in this series, as well.
Yeah, we could not ask more from India on outside Asian conditions in test matches. I just wonder that India did not play any warm up matches still they have adopted the new conditions and showed that they were the runner up of recently concluded test championship. I guess the toss favored India and they made the most out of winning the toss.

I am sure about India bowlers to perform well in South Africa and if my prediction is right then there will be no more obstacles for India to take the lead after this test match (I know its too early to call the result in favor of India but India batted well like a hots hence which must be more than enough for deciding the result for them in the end regardless of how South Africa will bat).

Being in South Africa and India giving a tremendous performance is really good. Scoring above 200 runs losing 3 wickets makes India dominant. Virat Kohli wasn't able to give the best, but he does some contribution in all matches. Some have mentioned this test to go one sided same as the Ashes, but there is very less chance for such scenario to happen.

India won the toss and elected to bat in the first Test against South Africa. They have collected 72 runs without losing any wicket. My prediction about this match is that India will win this match without any major obstacles. I don't think the South African team is too strong now. . Their performance is of average quality. On the other hand, the Indian team is very experienced. The match between India and South Africa is likely to be more competitive than the one-sided match between Australia and England.
Agreed. Betting on South Africa is way too risky even if it's their home turf since India have defeated stronger teams easily on their turfs in recent times. All of their tests will most probably end as draws or India winning.

Also, I am really disappointed to see England screwing up once again. Is this really the Ashes? The crowd in the stadiums are probably thinking the same thing.

Rahual and Agarwal both have given a fine start to India, they both are still on crease with 109 runs. That's a strong foundation for coming in players. South Africa struggling with there form and I agree it will be total loss to bet on South Africa win.
This Ashes has turned England team into ash, all there batsman and bowlers are flopped so far. Even 3rd test seems very much in Australia favor. Is there any rain forecast during 3rd test, only that can save England.

Though SA is not as strong as India but they will defiantly fight better then what we are seeing in Ashes. Indian team was not in form but its just the right series for there players to get back in there form. First session of this match belongs to India as they scored 83 without losing any wicket. SA so far tried 6 bowlers but no success.
