What was so special about his innings today? He made 57 in a pitch that offered a lot of support for the batsmen. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the only Bangladeshi bowler who looked threatening. Made 50 on 53 balls that is really amazed performance by him. He is improving himself for the matches and I hope he will perform better in the second innings too.

Congratulations once again root for his second century at second innings of the first match. I taught may be there will be a minor chance for SiriLankan to be in the game but I think the vital partnership of Joe root runied entire things for them because through his significant partnership england got more than 400 runs lead which is looking like impossible for SiriLankan to chased according to thier current performance situation and also we have seen them in first inning while having same situation of chasing 400 so things were not looking good for SiriLankan despite any miracle happened and two of thier batter build more than 200 partnership then may be they will get chance to put his team on track to victory but currently nothing indicate that. now SiriLankan has two days to chased 430 target so the only things is to just hold thier wicket and rotate strike.

The way Abdullah Shafiq got out today was no ordinary ball at all. The ball was very challenging for him. In Taskin's over, the first 5 balls were out-swing balls and the last ball was in-swing balls, where the wrist positions were similar. Just because the seam position was different it was very difficult for a batsman to understand the ball. Credit must be given to Taskin here. But there is no such thing as impossible in cricket, Abdullah Shafiq failed here. I agree with you that he is not a good option for Test cricket, especially as a freshman and he has weaknesses. I think Abdullah Shafiq should experiment with the old ball in Test cricket. I see no way to deny that he is a talented player. His career statistics are not very rich. He needs more experience. But in cricket, every player's form is not always the same. He has played some big innings before. I hope he gets back to running very soon.

There was a huge smile on the Taskin's face and on the other players of Bangladesh after taking the first wicket of Abdullah Shafique. They all thought they took the game in their hands but had not seen Shan Masood and Saim Ayub before.

Also, I think from Pakistan's perspective 274 is not a reasonable score and they must be thinking about what went wrong with their batting in this innings. Yes Saim Ayub and Shan Masood gave a hundred runs partnerships but what were other players doing when they both lost their wickets  You may say that Salman Agha also made a 50 but at least one or two of these batsmen needed to go on and make a hundred. Don't understand why these three batsmen were out in their 50s and not mature enough to turn 50s into 100s.

Bangladesh won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first. I have to say Pakistan did start pretty well except from losing the first wicket  in the first over without scoring a single run. I believe at one point they were 105 for 1 if I am not wrong. from that position, getting all out for only 275 is definitely not good. Miraz bowled really well in this match. He got five wickets. by the way, Bangladesh dropped a few chances.

Bangladesh went into bat for a few overs towards the end of the day. Pakistan created a chance on the very first ball and the sleep fielders put that chance down. At the end of the day Bangladesh scored 10 without any loss of wickets.

It has become a trend for the team now to not apply the follow-on rules. I don't see anything wrong or illogical in it now. England has lost all their wickets today and given a target of 483 runs. I'm not expecting Sri Lanka to chase this big target.
On the other hand, Pakistan scored 274 runs in the first innings. Both team have equal chance to win the match now. Bangladesh will have some advantages if they can end their first innings by taking a good lead.

When the openers fail to perform it puts pressure on the team right from the start. There was no improvement in Abdullah Shafique’s performance. Yes, in the last match second innings he made some score that impact on the team but still he is not performing with that strength means as he performed in ODI and T20. I think he is not a good option for the test matches, he could use to play ODI and T20 matches. Also in the leagues, his performance is good. He was out on very simple ball, in which he used to hit sixes and boundaries in any other day. In the next innings, I think Abdullah Shafique should not have to open the game, he could come 2 down in the place of Babar Azam as well.

England have played their second innings and they have scored 250 runs in the second innings.  As Sri Lanka team could not meet the run target of England team  in the first innings, now in the second innings they have a chance to complete England team  run target by performing well, but they have to face England's bowlers.  will have to  In this second innings, England team  J Root performed very well. He had completed a century in the first innings and also completed a century in the second innings. Sri Lanka has started and at the very start of the chase, they have already lost one wicket. They have also only got 19 on the board.
The first innings from Sri Lanka was stable and I think the second inning is also going to be somewhat around the same area.

By the way again Joe Root proves that he is still one of the best. Century that was scored by him has actually given England such a big total & broke the record for most Test centuries. And of course, they also had the lead from the first innings.

The second and final Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan has started where compared to the first Test match, Pakistan got off to a better start in this Test match against Bangladesh. Pakistan are batting in the first innings where they managed to score 274 runs at the end of the first innings and they were all out. Although the match was scheduled to be played on the first day yesterday, the first day's play was abandoned due to rain and now the two teams have to complete the game in four days. As the first day was abandoned due to rain, there is a high chance of a draw in the first match, in which case if Pakistan draws this match against Bangladesh, Bangladesh will seal the series by 1-0.

Bangladesh got off to a good start in the second Test especially managing to bowl Pakistan out on the first day. Taskin Ahmed started the innings with a wicket and Mehdi Hassan Miraj ended the innings with a wicket. But if Bangladesh can complete all the sessions on the third day then maybe invite Pakistan to bat with 50/60 runs leave and most likely the match will start in ODI style. If Bangladesh can get Pakistan all out early in the second innings then Bangladesh will have a great chance to win. The batsmen and bowlers of Bangladesh are in a great combination, so it is expected that it will be very easy for Bangladesh to win.

On the third day of the England vs Sri Lanka team, Sri Lanka scored only 196 runs and lost all their wickets. The batting performance of the Sri Lankan team was not good at all, they cannot come close to winning the batting performance they did. But it was really interesting that England batted from the first day especially the batsmen of England team batted with responsibility. England batting today in the second innings and they have already made a huge score. The Sri Lankan team could not meet the target of runs that they collected in the first innings and Sri Lanka will not be able to reach this target at all in their second innings. The Sri Lankan team will lose badly in the second Test match as their performance suggests, and England will surely win the Test series. Pakistan has made some significant changes in his starting XI which may bring change in results as they lost previous test match so thier hunger for second match should be high and energetic so that can easily dominate thier opponent, to be honest I was expecting some good results for Pakistan as they are currently playing at home ground so already they have advantage but unfortunately they can't properly utilize it, After a very bad start currently Pakistan has lose thier five important wicket including shan, Shakeel babar who can single handedly change the results but due to bad shot selection and huge turn from green track fall them in his trap and thus they lose that significant wicket. Now they has scored 200+ and the only hope is Rizwan and Salman who can help them to reach at least 350+ if they hold thier wicket long and build handsome partnership.

Pakistan lost their fifth wicket on 179 runs in seconds session of day 2. I don't think Pakistan will survive today and Bangladesh is looking to bowled out Pakistan under 230 runs. Babar Azam out after scoring 31 runs only by the ball of Skakib al hasaan. Bangladesh spin bowling is outstanding performance especially Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked 2 important wickets by giving 41 runs and Skakib al hasaan also bowl well pick the crucial wicket of Babar Azam. Muhammad Rizwan is playing at 18 runs, he is last hope of Pakistan if they want to score a decent total of 300 plus runs against Bangladesh in frist inning of second test match.

Yes, if they will get 100 more runs then Sri Lanka would be never chase it but I think if Sri Lanka started to pick their wickets quickly it could create a bit of panic today, and they have chance for this. Don’t underestimate them.

The Sri Lanka bowlers have taken the wicket of Dan Lawrence at the start of the second innings. Here are the chances of anything to happen. Although, Ollie Pope the captain and Ben Duckett will open the game in just half an hour from now. I think the first over will be delivered by Lahiru Kumara from Sri Lanka because he picked an early wicket yesterday. Sri Lanka has very little chance in this test match but for that they also have to bat well in the last innings.

I think the England team have to declare their innings after getting the lead of 150 runs or more. They are leading the score by 256 runs but if they will include 150 more runs in this, then this will be the best lead for them of around 400+. Sri Lanka would never ever chase it. England team bowlers did superb as they picked the all wickets of the Sri Lanka team. Now, today is the day three of this test match. Once again, we will see a lot of crowd at the Lord’s Cricket Ground because it is a universal truth about England's crowd. In England, we always find a lot of supporters coming to the ground.
