Bangladesh is on fire as in respond to Zimbabwe innings they are 228/3 and just trail by 37 runs. Najmul got out at 71 and Captain Haque is batting on 73. Zimbabwe from here have to pick up quick wickets if they have to be in the match else Bangladesh will win this quite comfortably. No blowers are able to put pressure on batsman which is real cause of worry for Zimbabwe.

I am surprised that there is still so much interest for matches involving Zimbabwe. It is a dying team and in a few years, it will end up like Kenya. The Zimbabwe cricket board receives $12 million per year from the ICC, and this amount means that some sort of cricketing structure is still alive there. But if you take out the players who are now based abroad (Ervine, Williams, Taylor.etc), the team will not be able to compete against even the lower ranked associate sides.

Once they complete the deficit which is 38 now, they will have to give target to the NZ which won't be much considering India has already lost the four top wickets. Only a miracle can safe India from this defeat. This will be a big set back for them because NZ just white washed them in ODI Series.
There are only two tests in the series, so if they win the first one, they cannot lose the test series.

No miracle can save India now. Leaving it to the bowlers and Rahane and Pant, I don't feel they will manage even 150 runs from now on which makes NZ to chase down 110+ runs. Bowlers too haven't done their task of restricting NZ to 250-300 runs instead they let them get another 50 runs which took India to just chase down the extra runs. NZ's bowlers managed to get 40 runs while I can't expect the same from Indian bowlers. Hope they manage atleast to put some runs on board for NZ to chase else a score like last time would mean a miserable defeat. Feeling the match would end tomorrow  Undecided

The way India has been playing after the T20 series I am pretty much convinced they will lose the test series too. This is just the beginning more to come in few more months. Even Virat Kohli's performance has gone down. The team can niether Bat nor Bowl now.

Virat is playing so badly when the team depends on him. Looks like this match is a sure loss as they need 39 more runs and the day is already over. Tomorrow if they lost their 6 wickets for 200 runs in total, the game is over. Rahane, Vihari and Pant are all not so in form these days and are unable to get 50+ runs let alone 100 runs in a test match. This entire side looks so under confident against NZ this time.

They are trailing by 39 runs and need 300+ runs to win the match. An impossible task now.

Well Bhai, this is practically the same Indian team as last year when they defeated Australia in their own backyard (except Prithvi). Batting first at this pitch was tough but i didn't expect India to get out under 200, Some poor cricket from Mayank, Rahane and Pant because these 3 batsmen did all the hard work but failed to convert their inning and got out on very average deliveries including 1 run out. Having said that I feel that Indian batsmen going to perform much better in the second inning because as game proceed its becoming batsmen friendly wicket.
Hmm. I was talking about the team which comprised of players like Rohit, Rahul, Dhawan etc actually. Mayank is the only decent test player among the newbies at present in my opinion. You are right about the manner in which they threw away their wickets though.

My only concern is Bumrah, he looking rusty after long break and he's going wicketless and taking 20 wickets is key if any team wants to win the Test match. I really hope he gets some wicket tomorrow as lead already crossed 50 runs  if kiwis managed to get 100+ lead then its no brainier that India is in big trouble.
I share similar concerns. Bumrah is still economical, but he is not taking many wickets. Ishant was splendid along with Ashwin. Also, what is up with Indian bowlers not being able to remove the NZ tail-enders quickly these days?

At the end of the days play India trail by 39 runs and 6 wickets in end. Losing Mayank and Kohli is the major boost for NZ as they would now start to fancy their chances of taking this match to their side and even if India can manage to make 200 runs in last 6 wickets and if we removed 39 runs trail it’s just apprx 160 runs or so for them to win which would be easy target for them.

In only test between Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, batting first Zimbabwe was all out for 265 in spite of very good start from Masvaure who scored 64 runs and Captain Ervine who scored century and was out at 107. Other than this not any major contributions from the other batsman. Jayed and Hasan both picked 4 wickets each. In reply Bangladesh are 25/1 and trail by another 240 runs.

240 runs can be easily achieved if Bangladesh does not lose anymore wickets. They have much experienced batsmen than Zimbabwe. They only need to create a big partnership, which I am sure they are capable of.

NZ finished their innings with 180+ lead and now the pitch act lot different than the day 1.Sharma got five wicket haul in his comeback match from injury and Ashwin got 3 wickets which let their opposition to got out in third day itself.

Again Prithvi Shaw got out too early, now Puajara and Mayank agarwal is trying to build a partnership for their team.Let's see how the day progress, still a session is left to be played on Day3.

NZ 183 lead in first innings is a big lead beacuse it will put a lot of pressure now on Indian batsman and they have already lost 2 wickets for 92 runs . Still India trail by 91 runs and after this India will set a target for NZ to chase in 4th innings . Only if India can sustain this last session of the third day without any more wickets India would feel they have a chance to atleast draw the match .

Good batting by Mayank Agarwal, pathetic performance by Prithvi Shaw. India trails by 70 runs. 4 wickets down, I do not think it is possible for the Indian team to Win this match. Virat Kohli again got caught by playing a foolish shot.
Team India is losing their track on this test match,if they play at this rate they even won score the leading runs from the first innings.Rhanae and Vihari is on the middle now,can they get into day four without losing any more wicket to keep their hope on this match?

New Zealand already have a lead of 108 runs and the current partnership is really frustrating the Indian bowlers as they already scored over 50 runs in quick time
Kyle Jamieson is the star of this match as he made his debut and bowled very well and now he is performing with the bat and it looks like New Zealand got a new all rounder and the lead has reached 123 runs and with the way they are batting they could cross 150 runs easily and a lead of over 200 runs is not an impossible task if Kyle Jamieson and Grandhomme play a long innings, New Zealand must win the game from this stage unless there is a weather interruption i do not think India could draw or win the match.
This young fellow Kyle Jamieson is going to be very exciting entery in cricket as he is good bowler and now batting style is also very exciting doing good job on debut I am feeling we have another good genuine allrounder which will give very good to this cricket with his good skills.

India are bowling well and if they can restrict New Zealand to just around a 100 run lead then they are still alive in this match. Then if India can get a 200+ run lead, I think it will be hard for New Zealand to chase it down on the last day. I'm sure India will bat a lot better then the first innings and could still win if they bat well.

They done good job in first hour as they able to have 2 quick wickets but now this partnership is very frustrating two reviews both in New Zealand favour 7 overs 34 runs not bad at all by Grandhomme and debutant Jamieson with leads now heading for 100 figure.
