However, in the second innings, India's top order batsmen batted very responsibly. Especially because of the innings of Sharfaraz and Rishab Pant managed to collect big. But I expected to see better batting from KL Rahul and Jadeja. India could have scored 500+ only if these two batsmen had batted well. If the target was 200+ it would have been difficult for New Zealand to win.

New Zealand have won by 8 wickets. This is third only the 3rd win on the Indian soil. This is important win for them especially when you know they lost to Sri Lanka 2-0 and where down in morale.

You got a good bet at 1.19, i was only able to get 1.06 as told here. Moving forward, i think India would win the next test match and since India lost this test, we may get good odds for betting on India. This would not be the case if India had won this match, then bookies would have offered much lower odds for India. Its like grabbing the opportunity at the right time. Wink

The next test match will start on 24 October at Pune.

It was the first test victory for the Kiwis in India after 36 years and they did it in style. Congrats to them, this outfit must be a happy bunch and maybe they can do the impossible in this series and create history.

One could argue that Rohit going with 2 seamers only on a spicy seam wicket is the main trigger point but you have to give credit to the Kiwis. The way they bowled in the first inning was some quality spell of seam bowling and in the second Indian inning, their seamer came back hard with a new ball and made a difference again.

But 1 major key difference for me in this match was Rachin Ravindra. His partnership with the Southee did more damage than 46 all out. This partnership was the reason India had a 350-run deficit instead of 200.

For now, the Kiwis need only 72 more runs and they have eight wickets in hand. The outfield was wet this morning as well, not sure if that is going to help the bowlers. This hasn’t happened for the first time. I remember there was a test match between India and Australia where India gave up 106 runs to chase in the final innings. All thanks to the brilliant bowling of Murali Karthik, for which India were able to restrict Australia in that match. Similar stakes are also there in today’s last inning. The role of Murali Karthik has to be played by Bumrah. If India gets early wickets, then definitely the Indian team can make a comeback. Let’s see what the tabletoppers will do today. Pant 99? Whyyy? The dude missed out on 7 centuries which would have made his test record even more impressive than it already is. Also, Sarfaraz scared the Kiwis for a good bit, but the new ball sent the Indian batsmen packing.

Rain is the only thing that stands between New Zealand and a victory now since I don't see them failing to score such a mediocre target. The Kiwis are on a roll in both the men's and women's formats currently.

Other teams might have lost this test by an innings but India fought it back. Though they may lose it and they will lose, but still they fight hard in this game.

Sarfaraz Khan made a brilliant 150 while i really feel sorry for Rishabh Pant who was out on 99 and missed the hundred by one run only. At the top Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also played well.

Since this is now clear that NZ will win, i took a bet with only 1.06 on New Zealand on this sure shot bet.
