^^^ There are some updates for the next match between Pakistan and Bangladesh from the Pakistan side.
1 – The first-day entry is free for the students of Pakistan, VIP, Low class what ever they want.
2 – Another green pitch is here in Rawalpindi, Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam were checking the pitch today and they understood how to play in this green pitch.
3 – Abrar Ahmed, Aamer Jamal, and Ghulam have been picked for the second test match from the Pakistan team. Abrar Ahmed and Aamer are really good option while Ghulam also has its importance. Abrar Ahmed and Jamal have the greatest history in the test matches.
- Free entry won't matter much unless spectators are interested. In the good old days, Pindi used to set the stage on fire with jam packed stadium but it's not the case anymore as far as test cricket is concerned due to various reasons.
Agreed! The Rawalpindi crowd was energetic in the past few test series, but in the 1st test match, the majority of the stands were empty. I think the Pakistan cricket team's bad performances after one another might have fueled this behaviour.
There is a political agenda behind this move of allowing students free entry into the stadium on 30th August. The outside world may not know but Imran Khan, the former Captain and Prime minister of Pakistan who has been in prison by the establishment for around two years, the students federation has put a call on 30 August (the first day of the test match) to launch a students protest. This is inspired by the recent brave Bangladesh students who helped the country get rid of corrupt politicians.
The PCB chairman who is part of the government has made this tactic to divert student's attention from the protest but these things won't matter because we will take independence one day from our corrupt politicians and our corrupt army.
This sounds interesting. If this is a political move, I think such moves will not help the Pakistan Government's cause of holding Imran Khan supporters. Pakistan's political landscape is not looking good and they have border tensions with their neighbours. Things are not good for either Bangladesh or Pakistan on political fronts.
