For 1 Bitcoin to be worth $1,000,000, the total market cap of Bitcoin would have to be $21 trillion dollars. What are the odds of this happening?

For reference, the amount of physical $dollars and coins in circulation are around $1.2 trillion. The global M2 money supply of all currencies are around $45 trillion. The market cap of all mined gold is around $7 trillion.

Will 1 Bitcoin be worth a million dollars? Half a million? Thoughts?
I do not think that the one million Dollar Bitcoin is going to ever happen because the chance seems small that it will happen and so many people will be millionaires.
That is just not going to happen.

The price of Bitcoin is increasing with the growth of its popularity. Therefore, no one can say exactly what will happen to Bitcoin tomorrow or in a year

You are right with it even though we don't have certain result for the price of bitcoin. Even many are saying that this is impossible to happen.

But still there is a very 0.1 % chance of making this possible and happen. And if this is going to happen in the future, then all of us will be USD millionaires.

And this is going to be one of the best day of my life.
I think we will not be millionaire because most of us once we see that the price is increasing we will be tempted to sell, only those people who have a lot of money to hold their bitcoins as they have the privilege to do it, most of us need our money every now and then.

Its quite impossible for me to bitcoin reach such ammount, as soon as the mining ends we might see the price dropping or getting big values on short period, becuase supply and demand will rule bitcoin.
Well we don't know what will be happen in the future if bitcoin will be trending and even amazon can accept bitcoin in the future it can be possible that bitcoin will be rich that amount or near 1 million..
For now we are waiting for more price increase since we are still not experience to reach 1k value..

I do not think that the one million dollar Bitcoin exist because and it is also never going to happen. I will not get my hopes up for something that might not even happen.
I want to be sure on what is going to happen and with the million dollar Bitcoin that is not the case.

I have never believed in the one million dollar Bitcoin because it just seems so unlikely for something like that to exist.
I always stay realistic with Bitcoin and I will stay that way until something crazy happens that will prove me wrong.

It will happen, but not because the Bitcoin would be very valuable, but because the USD would be hyper inflated to the point where it's worth jack shit :/
This question was about if bitcoin will be disgustingly expensive in the future. Use of USD there was pure example to illustrateone of the top currencies we have today.
You can replace USD with any FIAT like EURO, GBP, CHF in that question and it will still be valid.

The question was

"Will 1 Bitcoin be worth a million dollars? Half a million? Thoughts? "

A lack of specificity caused this confusion

For me this is going to happen but very small chance but if this is going to happen and even though you are just going to have 0.001 bitcoin by that time for sure you are still going to have good profit out of it.

I guess this is going to happen years before we can see that bitcoin is going to reach $1m valued currency. And we don't know if we are still alive by that time or not anymore.

I don't see any reason for bitcoin to reach up 1 million dollar in any time. Not even in coming 100 years. Like you said, for bitcoin to become 1 million, the market cap should be 21 trillion. This is not a joke!

Even most of the countries don't have a trillion dollar economy as per their GDP, then how can bitcoin can become 21 trillion dollar online economy? What I think, that bitcoin may become around 3000 USD in the next 10 years but not anything more than that.

1000$ per bitcoin in feb/2017!

just record this!
Ill quote this one so that they can remembered you that this is not edited hoping that this will happen on that day im also waiting for that to happens and it will be a miracle and you can join to illuminati because your prediction is totaly amazing its just my suggestion don't mind it. Lmao

Yeah that is a good prediction and if we don't see any bad news in coming months then that price is expected to touch by the end of the year or at the beginning of next year.
The only new i know about next year is the megaupload is coming with a crypto version ready to work, besides that i do expect after the last hacker just made people realize that security its the only issue to stay alive.

I think its possible its just going to be strange with a $1 million bitcoin would mean those few big holders with 100k+ we know of like ver, karpeles etc will have $100000000000+  < how much money is that?  Would that not make them some of the most powerful people on the planet?

Big mathematics but its can be possible and can conducted also. As Bitcoin is made up of 100000000 Satoshi.

And its predicted that in future till 2145 transaction will be made in just satoshi.

Now think this part is imaginary but if take it seriously what will distribution of bitcoin globally.

It can barely rich $1000, and you're dreaming of reaching $1 million?
It is impossible. Even after a long time.
I don't think it will even reach $100,000.

Indeed it is impossible to reach the million but 1k it will reach easily. It takes time and will get there and when more people tend to use it it will grow bigger and can potentially reach 2k but this takes alot of time so we just have to wait and see.
