Sorry for not being part of the post-draft party but I had stuff to do.
Now about the draft, yahoo is really throwing dirt at me, not only I am ranked at the lowest but I also have the most difficult schedule, so it seems another difficult season for the Q/Cows is coming.
So how was the draft for you? It moved in the way you expected or you had to improvise all the way?
This is my draft experience round by round.
1st Round. RB Austin Ekeler. I think I got a small upgrade here as most of the time here on my mocks I could get either Mixon or Harris.
2nd Round. RB Nick Chubb. It seems our rankings were different, I never got the opportunity to get Chubb and I either got Kamara or Barkley, still I am happy with my pick here.
3rd Round. RB James Conner. Like @DireWolf14 I was watching Deebo drop like a rock and I was ready to get him in a hurry, but it seems he actually read my mind and got him first, on this round most of the time I got Mike Evans or Conner so it went according to plan, even if yahoo is giving me heat for selecting a third RB here.
4th Round. WR Michael Pittman Jr. This was also within my expectations.
5th round. WR DJ Moore. This is where things began to get out of my expectations, I had plans to select a QB on the 5th or 6th round, but bbc.reporter defying my expectations got Lamar Jackson in this round and I thought I would be over-drafting Hurts or Murray if I picked them here so I went for best payer available and selected DJ here, however in many of my drafts I could select him on the 7th or 8th round, I do not know why other people do not like him but this worries me and I would say that it was my worst pick on the draft as it brought more mistakes down the line.
6th Round. WR DK Metcalf. Yet another mistake, now both Hurts and Burrow are out of the board but Murray is still there I should have picked him here and then a WR and I could have gotten more Fantasy points but instead I went for depth here.
7th round. QB Tom Brady. Now panic is in, Murray is out of the board and if I do not pick a QB here I will have to dance around with Russel Wilson which sucked last year or with the Kirk Cousins of the world, so I pick the old and reliable Brady, not the worst pick and at least I was able to select him before his retirement, but I could have done better.
8th round WR Jaylen Waddle. With the QB issues out of the way things calmed down, here I just picked best player available, I have more WRs than RBs at this point than in my mock drafts but it is fine.
9th Round. RB Miles Sanders. I would have preferred Gibson or Moore but Sanders is acceptable here, at least to me of course.
10th Round. RB Kareem Hunt. I just took the best RB available, but since I have Chubb I will have to either trade him or hope for the Browns to play without a QB and run the ball every single down.
11th Round. WR George Pickens, The 11th and the 12th round picks are probably the reason I am receiving so much hate by yahoo, if you noticed at this point I have not selected a TE, K or DST, but this is by design, I have at this point 5 RBs and 4 WRs so instead of picking for a 5th string WR which at most I will play once I am taking a gamble here, if it does not work then there is no damage done, but if it does it could give me some better chances on the league.
12th Round. RB Brian Robinson Jr. What can I say except this was a newbie mistake? I did not knew what NFI-R meant so I was unaware of what had happened to the guy, I hope he recovers but this was a mistake, however since it was on the 12th round it is not a deal breaker.
13th, 14th and 15th Rounds. K Daniel Carlson, TE Pat Freiermuth and DST Denver were just the best available at the time.
And that is it folks, this is my experience regarding this draft.
