I didn't get any running backs that I wanted and I we all know that CMC JT alone will score more points than my entire team.

LOL, last year I read the draft synopsis and yahoo made fun of me for drafting Melvin Gorden a full round before his adp like 8th rnd.

Yahoo's rankings are a joke. Cheesy

Hueristic's Barbarians Draft Report Card
Led by a Pair of Bengals, Hueristic's Barbarians Should Have Done Their Homework
Quote
Mayonnaise, middle of the road, mediocre, All words that describe this draft. We have to trust Hueristic's Barbarians will make trades and player adds if they are to reach the playoffs.

Quote
Draft Summary

If you can't handle the heat, get out of the draft room. Hueristic's Barbarians collapsed under the pressure of this draft. Picking No. 8 overall, they were clearly overmatched. Behind multiple Bengals in the early rounds (Joe Mixon and Tee Higgins), Hueristic's Barbarians are projected to finish 10th in BCT-2022_HH_10-team with a record of 3-12 (1,973 points).

    George Kittle

Leader of the Pack

With only three tight ends off the board, Hueristic's Barbarians foresaw a run looming and jumped in early, taking Kittle with the 3rd pick in the 6th round. In the ensuing round, three more tight ends went off the board. After a season in which he had 71 receptions for 910 yards and 6 TDs in 14 games, totaling 169 fantasy points, Kittle is projected to score 167 fantasy points.

    Robert Woods

Reach Pick

You must know something nobody else does. There's no other reason for choosing Woods in the 11th round, about 12 spots earlier than his ADP of 120. Then again, you may be onto something? Projected to score 175 fantasy points this season with the Titans, he appears poised to beat last year when he recorded 45 receptions for 556 yards and 4 TDs in 9 games, totaling 127 fantasy points. Woods will slot in as the No. 5 WR for Hueristic's Barbarians, according to projected points.

Quote
Draft Notes

Week 9 will present a difficult task for Hueristic's Barbarians, as they have three players on a bye (Melvin Gordon III, George Kittle, and Cleveland). Your Week 9 opponent, Saylor Jerkers, won't be quite as short-handed with only one player (Amari Cooper) on a bye.

For the first three weeks of the season, Hueristic's Barbarians have one of the toughest schedules in BCT-2022_HH_10-team according to projected records with an early-season strength of schedule rated as the 3rd-most difficult. Even so, for the full season, Hueristic's Barbarians face a pretty fair schedule that rates as the 4th toughest.

Hueristic's Barbarians must have prioritized age before beauty, assembling a lineup with an average of 6.7 years of NFL experience, ranking as the oldest group in the league. To that end, they didn't select any of the nine rookies drafted.

With the selection of WR JuJu Smith-Schuster with the 68th pick, Hueristic's Barbarians utilized the WR/RB/TE flex position for the first time after completing all of the individual offensive positions.

LMFAO!

Holy shit guys yahoo makes it a fucking nightmare to edit that shit last minute.

I was waiting on all these timer bars with blanked out screens and they just like to hide all the fucking settings all over the place.

I was sweating balls trying to get it done before 7 as I was worried it would cancel our draft time and i remembered you cant set a new time less than a 2 day wait!

I was thinking if it didn't work then we could do a private mock draft and i'd edit all the guys in, glad we didnt have to go that route.

Well you remained calm enough under pressure to resolve the sitch, which I appreciate b/c I would have been pretty bummed otherwise.  Cheesy  So that's good, qualities that make a good commissioner great.

I think they are trying to force everyone into the Y+ package to get easy access now that they have the market cornered.

Gotta say, ESPN's draft experience was cleaner this year. I did one with them yesterday, it was just a lot easier to see pertinent info than Yahoo, which was a bit crowded, partly due to that bottom banner ad.

Anyway, the job is done. Feeling pretty decent. Guess I'm gonna be a Buffalo fan this year.

Good luck to all.

I know I haven't been keeping up with stuff here but... uhm... are we doing random draft order?

I had an issue with script blockers while trying to get the settings correct so that may be what that is, i'm not sure.

If its not what we got from the blockchain lottery then i'll edit it again.

Hmm, that's weird.  morvillz7z established the draft order with a blockchain lotter.  Hueristic knows that, there could have been a mistake or something.

Anyway the draft order should be this:
1.  bbc.reporter
2.  Hhampuz
3.  morvillz7z
4.  wheelz1200
5.  DireWolfM14
6.  South Park
7.  nutildah
8.  Hueristic
9.  ChiBitCTy
10. suchmoon

I do not know but we also did not vote on having a random draft order. Hueristic might place everything according to our original draft order when everyone has logged in the lobby already.

Russell Wilson just signed an extension for a quarter of a billion dollars. Totally insane. Sometimes it feels like dollars are play money for rich people. Imagine signing a quarter billion dollar contract. What value would money have after that? How many mansions and luxury cars can you own? The devaluing of dollars is amazing to watch.

I haven't read up on the deal, but usually these fat contracts only have ~50% of the money guaranteed, and the rest is incentive dependent.  Still, that's a quite a lot of dough, for sure.  I'd be happy with a contract for 1% of that, lol.

I've been thinking on the trade issue and what about we remove the veto, keep the 2 day delay and if someone has an issue with a trade we can have a discussion about it in the thread and resolve it there?

That's fine with me.

On Jimmy Garopollo, it might be, however, another reason might also be the 49ers are not yet very confident with Trey Lance. They need to keep Garopollo for at least 1 more year before saying good bye. I speculate that they will need him to start by week 5 heheheheheheee.

Everybody won in that restructuring, in my opinion.  Garoppolo may have taken a $16M pay-cut but he's still on a team, with a "no-trade" clause, which just means he has final say on whether a trade goes through or not.  Taking the pay-cut shows the league's owners that he's willing to negotiate and compromise for the sake of the team.  And ~$7M guaranteed for the year is a damn good deal for a backup.  He also knows he's likely to be offered more if a trade opportunity does present itself, and he will earn more from the 9ers if he ends up having to play.

For the team: they get to start the season with a solid, reliable Ford in the garage while they try out their new Ferrari.  If the Ferrari proves as reliable as the Ford, they'll have a bargaining chip for some future draft picks, and can trade him during the season.

They were way done with him, so much so that they wouldn't even let him see the playbook!

So they are all in on Lance.

Kind of crazy number but I'd say he adds more to the world than any of these scumbag tax dodging billionaires.

Thanks DireWolf for answering all those questions!

I think the 49ers restructured garapolo just to keep him away from seattle. Smiley
