Double bad news for DireWolfM14 Raheem Mostert has decided to go through a season ending surgery so he is out for the reminder of the season, as a fan and as a fantasy owner this is not good, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

https://www.sfgate.com/49ers/article/49ers-Raheem-Mostert-out-eight-weeks-wife-16455788.php

Would Trey Sermon be included in the team on week 2 or will San Francisco make Elijah Mitchell their rb1? I speculate that there might be more effort to play Mitchell as rb1 than considering Sermon in the team as rb2 or rb3. I have requested for a change in ESPN already hehehe. Also, did Covid Cam get a free opportunity for a reunification with Ron Rivera?

A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Fitzpatrick is expected to miss six to eight weeks.

Fitzpatrick was injured on a second-quarter hit in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He was replaced by Taylor Heinicke, who will start Thursday's game vs. the New York Giants. Heinicke completed 11 of 15 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown Sunday.

This is a good question.  I drafted Sermon in one of my leagues and was absolutely shocked when I saw that he was a healthy scratch on Sunday morning.  I am not sure what that is all about by any means.  Normally the San Fran Niners like to use a few running backs which made it even more confusing.  Now that Mostert is out for the year Sermon will get his chance to shine..and it might not be that hard to take over the job from Mitchell.

@DireWolfM14. Okay, I will observe for 2 more weeks before looking for a trade. However, I might rest Najee Harris and I might play Antonio Brown and Corey Davis. They appear to collect more points than ESPN projected because of the performances of Tom Brady and Zach Wilson.

I would probably not bench Najee Harris but I suppose it depends on what other running backs you have.  You don't want to overreact in week 1, which is easy to do.  Antonio Brown had a great game but he's on a team with countless mouths to feed, he wont be having games like that every week.  Corey Davis is a solid player, but in an 8 man league there is likely no reason to ever play him, you should have much better options available. Just my 2.

Edit: I would absolutely NEVER start Corey Davis over AJ Brown.  AJ Brown is a top 5 fantasy wide receiver and in real life.  He's an absolute beast.  He also plays in a much better offense with a much better quarterback. Again, you don't want to overreact based on week 1.

Agreed rookie game 1 and was a tough outing against bills on the road.  That's a tough first day.

What a Monday night football game.  Waller with 19 targets, whoa.  Look out kelce, waller gonna be knocking on that #1 door real quick.  Ses every pass play was intended to get it to waller lol.  Glad I scooped him up Smiley

I have decided to drop Josh Lambo. He might not have enougn opportunities with Trevor Lawrence only in his first year in the team. Chris Boswell will be the replacement.

I have also made Antonio Brown my flex because of Tom Brady hehe. I want to play Corey Davis instead of AJ Brown. It appears Davis is very good with Zach Wilson. However, the Jets will be against the Patriots and Titans against the Seahawks. Should I do this?

Yeah week to week these guys have good games and bad games.  No need to scramble week one.  A quarter of the season (4 games) is what I use as a rule of thumb to know how a player will probably score through the season.  And everyone always has guys on the bench that score more than their starters in an 8 team league.  Too many good players for them to be all rostered in the starting lineup.  I have multie wr that scored more than Jefferson who disappointed.  Just the way it is.

If we add the points from your starters and your bench you have outscored 3 teams and that is with two players scoring zero due to injuries, so you are not doing as bad as you may think, besides Antonio Brown looked great, he was being drafted that low as many thought he was going to be the WR3 on the depth chart of the Bucs, but I saw signs of prime AB and if that is the case I would personally take him over Evans and Godwin, plus you have Brady, while I am new to FF I have heard many stories back in the day of Brady and Moss helping players win their leagues on 2007 when they went undefeated during the regular season, so if you are lucky you could get to see something similar happen right now.

My wide receivers and running backs on the bench have collected more points than the players who were playing hehe. It also appears that I have made a mistake. I have drafted lower ranked players without superstars the team requires to bring more points.

How much is a good average no. points per week?

Don't despair, there're fluctuations from week to week.  Also keep a look out on the waiver wire, you may find a few gems to fill in your weak positions.  It's hard to determine this early in the season, so be very critical of your decision before you trade.  Make sure to consider the opponents and how they performed.  Ask yourself, was it a fluke that X player performed so badly, and X performed so well.  What could possibly go wrong?  As the season progresses and you have a larger pool of data to review, the decisions to trade up become easier.

What a game between NO and GB.

Oh yeah, I guess I should have kept Winston instead of chickening out and grabbing Cousins! Cheesy

I was getting depressed starting out Sunday with -3 points on the board, but am now in contention, provided a couple significant things go my way tomorrow night.

What a game between NO and GB. Glad I caught that one on TV. Rogers' heart just ain't in it, and who can blame him. He would've rather been host of Jeopardy this year, after all.

And glad that Mahomes + Hill delivered the Patrick Price for my otherwise lackluster ass.

And Mahoney and hill are killing me now lol.  They can score points in seconds.  Blinked and I'm down in fantasy.  Going to be hard to win against that combo with more time to go.  2-3 minutes and 2 tds with hill getting a 75 yard td.  Crazy

I have hill against me in another league and that 75 yarder boned me and then Melvin gordon popped one off and saved me!

Funny thing is Yahoo made fun of me for drafting Melvin soo early!

Me and South Park have quite the duel so far. We each have one player remaining, he has Montgomery and i have Allen Robinson II. It is up to the Rams defense to decide who will win. I'm secretly hoping Andy Dalton is benched and Fields lets it fly to Mooney and Robinson in the second half, hoping for a comeback or somethin'.

...so much takes to talk about

- Browns and Baker choking in 4th.
- News flash, Giants suck!
- Urban Meyer doesn't know what's he is doing, not sure how long is he going to last in the NFL. Dude, you can't have Hyde have more carries than J. Robinson...wtf?
- Rookie starting QBs lost their opening games.
- Waddle, D. Smith, and Ja'Marr Chase each with a TD.

Yup, giants still Suck, Goff doesn't and Houston is not the train wreck all the retard pundits said they were.

Oh and Greenbay SUCKS, those fuckers cost me but I shall persevere. Cheesy

I'm enjoying watching you guys duke it out! Smiley

Just a heads up on Swift, Willaims will be starting and carrying the load today.
I was not planning on starting the dude at all as he is playing against a healthy SF defense, and even if the game has not finished he is giving me more points than what Zeke gave during the full game against TB, and BTW what’s up with the SF defense? They were scoring 16 points at halftime and are at 13 right now, they are really playing against me at the moment, I just hope Detroit can score some more TDs so their score drops a little bit.

And BTW the wheelz team looks scary as hell.

My squad is looking tight!.  What scares me is with kc down Mahomet should be bombing away in the second half.  He can wreck a fantasy game real quick lol.  So far giants game is a snoozer on offense.  D is looking tight.  Eagles looked real good but a ton of teams will against the falcons this year.  Giants need to win this one

Chubb's doing his thing.... I still have hope.

Danm, now the Niners seem to be doing everything they can to lose this game after scoring 41 points.  WTF!  Picking up Goff doesn't seem so crazy now.

Let's be fair, Lions cashed out all their luck on those two 2-pointers and that onside kick.

I think I'll bench my whole team against him and take the loss so I don't get any injuries that week! Cheesy
