This might be a bad season for my team hehe. Much of the players I chose were based on the information from watching videos of Stephen Smith and Skip Bayless talking about the NFL on youtube. Also, is trading players allowed in fantasy? Who wants Stafford and a Lambo?

Who drafted Jared Goff?

Still available, you should definitely dump your bench warmer Rodgers for Goff Grin

Actually I think Goff has a great arm and pocket presence but the lions line is pure garbage so he could be a threat if they nail that down (and the D is atrocious) also Kupp and Woods are massively more talented than Jones and Golladay.

I can't agree with you here on this one.  Golladay has proven IMHO to be a better receiver than both Woods and Kupp.  That guy is a superstar type receiver where Woods and Kupp are studs, but I would not say stars. I do agree that Kupp and Woods are better receivers than Marvin Jones but not by a ton. He's had a very solid career himself.

I'm not sure I would call Stephen A. Smith an expert at anything other than being a loud mouth obnoxious ass commentator.  I have never found him or his old buddy Skip Bayless to be anything more than a clown show.

Yup, they are right up there with that Moron Mathew Berry.

I'll never understand how these idiots can make a living off of being wrong all the time?

Thank you!!!!  It absolutely amazes me that people listen to these complete buffoons.  They are loud and obnoxious and always wrong like you said.  I really despise Stephen A.  Stephen and Skips show was one of the all time worst sports shows.  I can't respect any show that will argue a counter point just for the sake of not agreeing.  It honestly bothers me that people listen to these idiots  Cheesy

You are also dead about about Matthew Berry!! He's a complete moron.  If you do the opposite of what he says you're likely good to go.  He has even admitted before that the only reason he has that job, or got that job is because of his sister and brother in law whom are in the business and helped him get it.  I can't stand that fantasy show on Sunday mornings, he ruins it.

Matthew berry lol.  He definately sits at the bottom of his fantasy league year after year.  People like him sway the rankings and year in year out they are wrong.  This year will be no different.  There will be complete busts in the 2/3 round and there will be steals in the late rounds.  Imagine drafting James Robinson or Justin Jefferson late and tagging them with Josh Allen last year.  Same this year, beery is a buffoon.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
And speaking of newbie questions I am happy with my lineup, however there is nothing else to do? I mean just by virtue of being on my starting squad that is enough for those players to begin to accumulate fantasy points?
Yep, that's how it works.  The productivity of the players in your "Starting Lineup" will result in fantasy points.  It's a good idea to look at the projected points, but don't treat them as gospel as they can often be wrong.  Try to consider the opponent and how they may try to minimize the impact of your top-flight receiver, for example.
Good to know I was expecting to see a submit button but I could not find it anywhere, thanks for the info.

An anecdotal story, for you:  Jerry Rice's last game as a 49er came against the Bears (I was there!)  The Bears double-teamed Rice all day, expecting him to be targeted regularly and put up big numbers.  That day, a relatively unknown Terrell Owens caught 20 passes for a million yards, and 100 touchdowns.  I think that's what happened, anyway.  I wasn't the designated driver that day.  Grin
I remember that game, Jerry Rice was not happy at all but what did he expected? It was obvious the 49ers will try to target him and the defense just did the same.

Actually it's Texans for a change:

That's actually surprising.  The year before last they were duking it out with the Titans for the division, I had no idea they're stock had fallen so much.  I guess losing Watson (or did they?) had a lot to do with it.
The dumpster fire formerly known as the Houston Texans took way more than the issue with Watson to create, they gave away Hopkins in what it will forever remembered as one of the worst trades ever just because the Coach did not liked him, JJ Watt is no longer with the team, and they made other bad trades which left them with no first round picks for two years in a row, their first pick this year did not come until the 3rd round and they had to pick a QB, so if they lose Watson for whatever reason I would expect them to be the worst team of the league for a few years at least.

QFT!

Nepotism is far too rampant in society and is one of the reasons why I hate the saying "Family first" as it translates to everyone else last.

That's a great graphic you shared.  I found the site you acquired it from, there's a lot of useful stuff there, even a soccer score predictor.  Very cool.

Damn how the mighty have fallen, Pats 18th! :d

It's been a long time since the Pats were irrelevant.  Having grown up with 49ers dominating the 80s and early 90s I know your pain all too well.

I was shocked to find out that Lions are not expected to be the worst 2021 team

In all reality, there's always a sleeper who goes disregarded this time of year.  Goff had a tough time last year, and the Lions have had a rough... existence, but stranger things have happened.

I was shocked to find out that Lions are not expected to be the worst 2021 team according to bookies. But I'm sure they'll work hard on rectifying that so that they could get the first pick and trade it away for something silly.

Did it again.  Was down in the casinos last night and couldn't resist.  Threw some more dough on the giants to win the division. At 4.5-1 odds it was too much for me not to.  Looks like Zach Martin, cowboys best online man is out so that is going to be a super tough game against the Bucs.  Easy 0-1 to start the season.

Get a grip on yourself man!  Cheesy  ( boy am I really going to feel stupid if by some miracle the Giants end up pulling off this division).  I guess there is some good news for you Giants fans, word is Barkley may be starting week 1, which obviously makes them an entirely different team with him in the lineup.  Yet and still...I'm taking the Cowboys and WFT in that division.  If you do win on those bets however, are you willing to share a little with me...all this moral support I'm providing and all?!

Never.  I might actually throw more down on it.  They might not be great but they aren't that bad either .500 type team but that might be enough to win the division.  Dallas sucks. Their defense is terrible. And the redskins are the redskins they are never more than just a .500 team too.  They didn't add all that much to the team to make them much better than last year.  Maybe I'm a Homer but the odds make sense to me this year.

And yes I will share in my winnings: 1 whe garlicoin coming your way if I win  Grin

Golladay is on the giants now he was their big threat and Jones is on another squad as well I think.  The lions are gonna stink it up for sure.  Goff doesn't have anyone to throw to.

Who drafted Jared Goff?

 Cheesy
He is listed as a FA in our league, we may have some newbies, myself included, and even I could see Goff is probably going to underperform.

I like Goff, he's a local boy (he and I are from the same home-town,) so I root for him just because of that.  The Rams are obviously a good team, but I doubt that Stafford is going to make as big of an impact as that blowhard Stephen Smith is predicting.  Stafford does have a bigger arm than Goff, but other than that, they're playing style isn't so different.  They're both primarily pocket passers, but Goff is more mobile, and his roll-out passes are always executed well in my opinion.  I would love to see him to take the Lions to 10 consecutive super bowl victories just so I can see Sean McVey's grimace grow into a permanent scowl.

And speaking of newbie questions I am happy with my lineup, however there is nothing else to do? I mean just by virtue of being on my starting squad that is enough for those players to begin to accumulate fantasy points?
