Starting to look pretty lopsided. Should have gone with my gut and put the bet in for TB last night. Instead I woke up and plopped in front of the TV right as kickoff was happening. If you're a GB fan, nows a perfect time to get some great odds on their favored outcome for this game, lol. Actually now they just got an interception... it might end up being a close game after all.

A couple hours before kickoff and the Bills are @2.35 to win.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
I found the early odds fair with a fully fit Mahomes and now we have better odds with a Mahomes, who I suspect to not being able to perform at a high level - I wouldn't be surprised to see Henne taking over again at some point during the game. This injury looked very weird; in the slow-mo you could see basically nothing that pointed to concussion issues, so like some media reported, this is a tweaked nerve or whatever and this is not good imo and will still bother him. Reid says he is fine, looks himself etc., but I don't believe in all this bla bla from team officials or players, not in NFL and not in any other sport, what else should they say ? These people lie all over the place or don't know better.
That “concussion” was without a doubt very weird which leads me to believe that most likely it was an issue with a nerve combined with suffocation, as Mahomes was tackled in a way similar to a choke, which could explain why he seemed so confused at first and then a few minutes later we saw him running to the locker rooms.

But honestly I am more worried about his toe, unlike Brady, Manning and Brees that at best can just manipulate the pocket Mahomes depends on his mobility and if he cannot move as he is used to he could take some strong hits today.

So I think today the Bills and the Packers will win, as I do not see Rodgers playing as badly as he did against the Bucs in the regular season.

I can't help myself but go with the teams i personally want to see in the SB and that's Green Bay and Buffalo.

That's the superbowl I would prefer to watch as well, and that's my prediction.  I don't see Tampa getting the win today, and the Bills are under-rated in my opinion.

I can't help myself but go with the teams i personally want to see in the SB and that's Green Bay and Buffalo. I know everyone would prefer Mahomes vs Rodgers/Brady, it's box-office sure, but Bills have something special going on this season, so i'm riding with them. Clearing concussions protocols in 5 days and playing through turf toe injury is not as insignificant as some people think it is. #Billieve!  Grin

Diggs Anytime score + J.Allen 30+ rushing yards @ 2.75

I like Green Bay's balanced offense that they have, and if Brees couldn't throw anything for more than 20 yards, Bucs corners/secondary are gonna have a long night imo. Tampa didn't impress me last week, if not for J.Cook's fumble, Saints were likely to extend the lead to 10 or 14 pts, force Brady to make things happen in the 4Q.

D.Adams Anytime score + Packers O1.5 TD @ 2.12

Absolutely amazing set of games today.  Placed on Chiefs vs Bills @ -3.  Deciding on Green Bay vs Bucs @ -3.5.  Wondering if there’s any chance that spread moves to -4 or -3 by game time.

I like the Bills Smiley But you will get them above 3 inplay I think.
Do you still like the Bills knowing Mahomes is starting tomorrow?

When I wrote this, I never doubted Mahomes would start and the market knew as well. And yes, I still like this bet very much and even more now, because we get better odds after Mahomes has been cleared to play.

I wrote about KC not being that good anymore for the Browns game and I still think so. They win all the time, but it's not convincing and the Browns weren't up for the challenge. Their defense is/was too bad in the end and Mayfield, well he is still Mayfield and needs to mature a lot.
I was often critical about the Bills during the season, but I changed my mind a bit. They are really good and not worse than KC (even better imo with a banged up Mahomes).

I might be totally wrong and KC will win this easily with 6 TDs from Mahomes, but for me this is 50/50 or 49/51 Grin Lots of gut feeling involved and I am even FOMOing a bit, so that I will place 50% of my stake pre-match and add the other 50% inplay if the Bills go down by a TD.
I don't necessarily recommend to follow though, but I am already excited for this game from a football fan perspective, because it will be a good one. And with a (for me) nice value bet on top, what else can you ask for on a boring Sunday Wink

Do you still like the Bills knowing Mahomes is starting tomorrow? I dunno man. It sounds like there's a chance he may not run as much due to a toe injury, but even still, I just don't see the Bills winning here, even given the fact they have been pretty on fire.

I'm leaning toward putting in a bet on Tampa Bay; probably will go with +2.5 or +3 to play it safe. Rodgers is gonna be hungry for one more Super Bowl, but so is Tom, and Tom is just a devastating force when crunchtime rolls around. Antonio Brown playing would certainly bolster their case but I've heard conflicting reports about that... last I heard he was Questionable.

No worries, NFL will fix it. The ways things are going soon we'll have 24 teams in the playoffs and two Super Bowls every year. Think about it - some of the stats like "most yards in regular season" or "most TDs in postseason" are already getting inflated due to having more games.
In fact while I was writing I thought about that possibility, what if the NFL decided to create a summer league? It will be ridiculous but at this rate it may come to happen.

"Root" is too strong to describe my relationship with the Lions...
I am sorry about the whole deal with Matt Patricia, but it seems that with the exception of Flores in Miami everyone wants to impose the ‘Patriot way’ instead of just creating their coaching style and it explodes in their face, BTW if there are some Texans fans here I am sorry about that too, Bill O’Brien legacy seems to still be in effect even if he is not there anymore, while I usually do not believe the rumours the media spreads it seems the Texans have screwed up their relationship with Watson to the point he wants out, and even if that proves to be false the fact they have no first and second round pick in this draft, no cap space and shipping out Hopkins for a bag of Doritos is going to hurt them long term.

I have a question for Tom Brady fans. If he moved to the Raiders instead of Tampa Bay, would the Raiders be having a better chance to be in the playoffs? Las Vegas was one of the places Brady was strongly suggested of going by sports media last year.
A better chance? Probably, but there will still not be any guarantees the Raiders made it to the playoffs, the Raiders finished 8-8 and the Dolphins failed to make it to the playoffs with a 10-6 record, there are two games Brady could have won, one is the Dolphins game the Raiders lost by one point and the Buccaneers game as they will not have Brady, that is a 10-6 record which is still not enough so "Brady's Raiders" would need to win an additional game, and there are 3 candidates that I think could have been winnable, at NE, at ATL and at home against the LA Chargers which they lost on OT by 3 points.

Looks like this year's Super Bowl will be disputed between the NFC's Old Man Quarterback and the AFC's Young Whippersnapper Quarterback.  Kind of a funny thing I noticed while reviewing the games from this past weekend, the average age of the quarterbacks from the two conferences; the AFC favors the younger generation, while the AFC favors experienced journeymen.

I also notice that as the post season winds down the average age of AFC QBs has gone down, while in the NFC the average age has gone up.

I just came across this thread, I am glad I did although it's almost the end of the playoffs.

I am a big fan of the KC Chiefs, but as much as I like them, I have to side with the Bills in this game.Allen and Diggs have been tremendous this year, while we are still not 100% sure if Mahomes will clear the concussion protocol, even if he does, no one is sure how fit will he be, if he isn't at his best or he doesn't play then I don't see how the Chiefs could win it.
If Mahomes is ready, the game should be much closer but I would still lean on the Bills.

As for the GB Packers vs TB Bucs, I think it could go either way. The over/under is at 51 atm and I feel comfortable taking the over as I expect a lot of production from both Brady and Rodgers.

Good Luck!

I never understood the Pats hate, They were the worst team in football the entire time I was growing up and then when they got their shit together people hated on them.

They were just too dominant all the time and people hate (kind of envy) that. It's the same in every sport and no reason to worry or be mad about it, the hate/dislike will be gone when the Pats are back to normal. Another thing is, that haters are way more active in (publicly) expressing their opinion than fans doing public praise. So there will always be this disbalance, also because this is a very black/white matter, there is no middle and you have more haters than fans naturally, because the percentage of Pats fans in comparison to football fans/fans of other teams is pretty low like for all teams.

What added to that hate is all this little cheating and pushing the boundaries on top of playing in a super weak division all those years. People thought that NE somehow didn't deserve to be this good, but though I disliked their dominance/success, I always thought it's well deserved, because they were masterclass in a lot of areas and this should get rewarded.

If the Giants ever started such a reign, I wouldn't be too happy about (I think !), because I find it boring in general. It's way more fun to not know, if you will win any particular game or if you will win your division year after year, reach the Conference Championship for the gazillionth time in a row etc.; adds more spice and adrenaline.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it

"Root" is too strong to describe my relationship with the Lions, a team that y'all can use as a soothing "could be worse" reference whenever you think that your team sucks. But it's great for trivia, for example answering questions like "when was the last time Lions played in the Super Bowl" or "how many conference championships Lions have" or "how many games Lions won in 2008".

The requirements to be on the same conversation are getting more and more ridiculous as we speak, so while I appreciate the greatness of Brady he is leaving the bar so high that if this continues I am afraid we will not see anyone coming close for the foreseeable future.

Really? I thought you just enjoyed Football in general and did not support any team

Exactly LOL

which team do you root for?

I would like to see Brady win it all, that would literally make the Patriots Org look pretty bad...

With Ravens out I'm hoping for Bills vs Bucs... that should make Belichick and Patriots fans smash their TVs.
I will not be mad but I will have to explain myself, I am NE fan and obviously a Brady fan, but that may bring the question, if I am a Brady fan why I was rooting for the Saints to win? And that is because I am also a Football fan, I enjoy Football in general which is why I appreciate the greatness of other players and teams as well, and while I will be happy if Brady gets its 7th SB win, at the same time I wonder when will we see someone surpassing him? And the most likely answer is that I will not get to see it.

Before Brady came to the picture Montana was this unsurpassable wall for QBs, no matter how good they were they could not compare to his greatness, when Brady won its 4th SB we finally had someone that could rival him at the top, some will still put Montana at the top while some argued about Brady, but it did not matter, we were watching one of the greats and that is all what mattered, when Brady won its 5th SB, and even more importantly the way he did won that SB, people finally began to change their minds, so he is for the most part at the top of the list of the best QBs of all time.

But when he won his 6th SB this created a problem in my mind, Brady has been so dominant for so long that he is now even interfering with the legacies of the next generation of players, on his way to that SB win Brady beat Mahomes on the 2018 AFC championship, think about it Mahomes could most likely have already 2 SBs and could be aiming to get his third but not only Brady interfered with this but he enhanced his own legacy by adding a 6th SB win, if he wins his 7th SB what will the next generation of players have to do just to get in the same level? Win 3 or 4 SBs in a row? Get one or two undefeated seasons and win the SB? The requirements to be on the same conversation are getting more and more ridiculous as we speak, so while I appreciate the greatness of Brady he is leaving the bar so high that if this continues I am afraid we will not see anyone coming close for the foreseeable future.

Why are Ravens fans always so toxic?

LOL, I'm not a Ravens fan. My team sucks even more than Patriots, if that helps.

Haha, that is sad!

I think the only teams worse than the Pats this year were The Jets and Jags!

I never understood the Pats hate, They were the worst team in football the entire time I was growing up and then when they got their shit together people hated on them.

When I was growing up every year the the end for the Pats was always a huge game they had to win against the Colts or they were dead last in the league. Most of the time they lost that game but Plunkett and later Grogan gave it all he got and those poor bastards were dragging their asses in a sling more times than not. Armstrong was literally the only lineman that could block, the rest just stood their looking like idiots while the QB got demolished. I've never seen so many dogpiles, they used to just all belly flop right on top of the pile.

This would be absolutely hilarious.  I'm still not sure who I'm pulling for, I really don't despise any of these teams.  Brady winning it all would be the icing on the cake though.
