Does RAM really influence the hash rates?
Now I think about it my HD7950 in a 12GB system does get better rates on the Vertcoin algo, while on Scrypt this card is the weakest I have.

How much are you getting from 7950 on 12 GB RAM sys? interesting..

which miner and os do u use ?

at the moment i have 4 x 355 kh/s,  moded cgminer 3.7.2
config:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt -o server -u user -p pw -v 1 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500 --thread-concurrency 8193 --no-submit-stale

while experimenting yesterday on a other worker with 3 x 280x i had some problems with devices going off, after a reboot the problem was solved (same config) not sure what it was

Thanks for reply!
I am using Vertminer 0.5.2, everything okie.
My result:
4x311Khz/s Temp about 68'c

"intensity" : "13",
"thread-concurrency" : "8193",
"gpu-engine" : "1100",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500",
"gpu-threads" : "1"

I want to up to 350Khz/s. Can you help me!
Thanks!

yea i also switched to vertminer 0.5.2 (still at 350kh/s)
the only idea for you is to set gpu-engine lower try 1000 and 1020 and try without the gpu-threads setting

and don't forget the setx commands

good luck!
Can u show me your config?

Maybe helpfull for others that don't have 4GB or more memory installed on their mobo's..

3x R9 290x (Sapphire).

-I 13 -v 1 -w 256 -g 2 lookup-gap 2 tcc 10222 clock/memory 1050/1500

Gives:
1 - 282KH/s | WU: 262
2 - 291KH/s | WU: 281
3 - 272KH/s | WU: 261

On my Sapphire DUAL-X R9 280X's I get ~360Kh/s per card with these settings:

 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500

Keep up the mining!

are u using cgwatcher?
had the same problem while using cg, problem was solved after throwing away cg and using standalone .cmd scripts
and don't forget the setx commands!

I am using cgminer. Any experience on this.

try vertminer?

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this or if any of you are interested, but I was able to get GUIMiner working with the Scrypt-Adaptive-N algorithm for anyone who is interested.  You can download it from here http://www.thesuicidekings.info/GUIMiner-ScryptAdaptiveN.zip.  I used an older version of GUIMiner Scrypt and added Aleks_NR3's CGMiner to it.  Simple yet effective for those of you who like the GUI interface.  It has many good preloaded settings for 5xxx - 7xxx series cards.

Hope this helps some guys out!
Cheers.

PS: I understand I haven't posted on BTCTalk much at all, so feel free to run a virus-scan. You won't find anything but a helpful tool for a great new coin Smiley

Mining Vertcoin I'm getting just around 75KHS w/ vertminer v0.5.2 and with Vertcoin-CGMinerAleksNR3 I get a blazing 10KHS.

Try to adjust intensity and thread-concurrency, set it lower. You should have about 100 MH/s maximum at your card.

-I 20 -g 1 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1100 --thread-concurrency 14208

gives me ~215 Kh/s

I'm getting 600+KH/s with 1xHD7950 from PowerColor and 2 HD5850 DCU2 cards from Asus.
They're getting this hot because they're sandiwched, I don't have risers atm.

Here is my BAT:
Quote
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o pooladdress.com:port -u username --gpu-map 0:1,1:0,2:2 -p password --gpu-engine 820,1100,820 --gpu-memclock 1150,1500,1150 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 5120,19712,5120 -I 15,18,18 -w 256 --gpu-powertune 10 --gpu-fan 50-90,90-100,50-90

The HD7950 card does run at 1.250v (others are stock) because somehow it's hardlocked by PowerColor, so it gets way too hot and burns a lot of power...

EDIT: Just noticed the HD7950 goes sick after some time, running it at -I 18 solves the problem, still gets over 600KH/s avg in total.
I edited the above BAT config to avoid confusion but the screenshot still shows 20.

1 x Saphire Toxic 280x with CGMiner running @ 410K

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://s.eu.vertcoin.org:3333 -u xxxx -p xxxxx -g 2 -w 256 -I 13 --thread-concurrency=8250 --gpu-engine=1160 --gpu-memclock=1860 --auto-fan --gpu-powertune 20

Ok I managed somehow to achieve decent speed 180KH on my 270

-I 12 -w 256 -g 2 -v 1 --thread-concurrency 4648 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 1050 --gpu-memclock 1500

I had to change thread concurrency to around 4000 , thanks for help Cheesy  Is there any way to make it work faster?

Your on the 270 so - up your thread-concurrency to 8192 (-/+20). Save a copy of your .bat file and play with the numbers, gradually upping them until you get the best out of your card. Down -12 to 11 (until you get higher speeds then change +1 each try)

Good Luck  x

windows , I'll check your settings [ unfortunatelly they dont's work Sad ]

Try
 -I 12 -w 256 -g 2 -v 1 --thread-concurrency 8000 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine YOUR_CARD_DEFAULT_CORE_CLOCK --gpu-memclock YOUR_CARD_DEFAULT_MEMCLOCK_CLOCK
Or just
 -I 12 -w 256 -g 2 -v 1 --thread-concurrency 8000 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 800 --gpu-memclock 1000

Works on Windows 7 x64 for me (Driver 13.9)

I've got WU 40.1/m  ( what is WU? Sorry I'm new in this stuff)

WU - that's the Work Utility, defined as the number of diff1 shares work / minute (accepted or rejected).
Sow very roughly it's you hashrate after exclution of HW. But including any other rejections.

Grr I'd rather mine doge instead Sad

Nooooo.... Don't give up with Vertcoin, I've played with config a week, from diff 0.6  Grin
And if you decide to go for DOGE, better go for Skeincoin than Smiley

I set mine r9 270: " -I 12 -w 256 -g 2 -v 1 --thread-concurrency 8000 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 975 --gpu-memclock 1400" only 14KH but UW equals  the speed , what am I doing wrong?
