There is no big problem in the altcoin, everything is slowly resolved. If yesterday altcoin had a big problem because of the price that was influenced by bitcoin, then today it all began to be resolved. It's only a matter of time, until the time for altcoco to find the perfect way to kick bitcoin from the king's seat.
....is their complete dependancy of Bitcoin. It really takes all the fun out of crypto trading.
No matter what kind of awesome progress some altcoins make....it doesn't change the trend upwards if Bitcoin doesn't allow it.
Pump and dump groups I also blame. Because of them I'm very positive that Bitcoin won't make it past 30 000 this year. 50 000 to 80 000 would be realistic without pump and dump groups dominating and controlling the prices.
Anyways, these things have to change somehow. The first altcoin developers who claim their absolute freedom from Bitcoin will be the real winners of this crypto game.

Here this freedom is making every person to say and do anything that what they want , that why some altcoins owner are saying and claiming like this , but in actual it is not eastfor any coin to break the market of bitcoin because bitcoin is not a baby , this is first coin that is making the whoel cryptocurrency market intergate with his trading links .
And here altcoins are big power of the cryptocurrency market because this is same as without people world will not be world , similarly without coins there will be no cryptocurrency market .
Here if bitcoin will get very back in comparison of the another any coin then surely people trust will break , but surely it will not going to happen .
Bitcoin will remain king and almost every coin will depend over bitcoin , don't think that another coins team are working much hardwork to increase the market but here with that bitcoin's is also doing work to make the bitcoin more perfect , so this competition will always remain existing and bitcoin will remain at top always .
I agree that altcoins ' dependence on BTC is big and obvious. Whether they will be able to escape in the future from under this oppression is unknown. And so of course, altcoins that will be able to achieve this, will become clear leaders among other altcoins throughout the cryptocurrency space. So our business is small, it remains to wait for such promising projects that are ready to compete for the title of the best altcoin.
You've highlighted the problem well. It remains the biggest problem most altcoins face. They have total dependency on Bitcoin which is just too bad to their effective growth. Once Bitcoin begins to fall, you see them dumping and once it is rising, you see them mooning. It's really an issue.

scam happen everywhere, trust me, even the regulated ones like initial public offering (IPO) sometimes being used to scam people and as a money grabber.It's just really hard to prevent such thing from appearing since there's some people that always have bad intention so better watch yourself. If im being honest, other fundraising method like kickstarter and crowdfunding impose the same risk.
I believe that the main problem of altcoin is their volatility. No one likes the unstable course. All investments are at their own discretion and you do not know what the cost will be tomorrow
Price wise you are quite right as they are influenced by the price movement of bitcoin, almost all trading pairs in crypto is againts bitcoin so ofcouse they will be bitcoin dependant, that's why it's very important to have more fiat pairing so that the projects can be independent and their value will grow according to the development and progress of their project.

Basically the dependant of alts on bitcoin is due to the fact that bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, popular known and can easily be exchanged back to fiat. Exchange pairs alts with bitcoin and ethereum, this simply shows that ethereum is gradually taking over the dependant on Btc.
