Bonus scam persists as long as the bonus program does not provide a margin in a currency that is listed on the trade.
Up until the present time no one could have guessed whether a bounty program was good or bad before it defrauded the bounty hunter.
Personally, I have seen a lot of bonus programs that promise all kinds of things and they promise to pay in btc or eth, but as soon as the bonuses are over they disappear.

Just recently we are beginning to have some Twitter campaign giving hunters reward in btc in the service section. This is one sure way to take off this muster that seem like a cancer called bounty scam.

I'm believing that gradually, will may start seeing the inclusion of other social media signatures like Facebook, LinkedIn, medium, article, videos, blogs and many more, coming up in  both bounty section and service. I'm sure that hunters will prefer social media signature than the scam going on in the board.

I guess one reason that we are seeing that Twitter campaign is because of the audit which takes care of non real followers of an account. So if your Twitter account isn't made of real followers, you stand no chance of being selected. The audit is surely to check out accounts with fake followers and that is also good to stop scamming.

Services under Marketplace if you join signature or social media campaign you will get paid in btc because it was already paying in btc long time ago. uNLIKE IN  Bounties section under Altcoin once you join a campaign you will get paid with a tokens of the project you are promoting. Your lucky if you can join a campaign that pay with Ethereum.

Anyway, scam project will not disappear in cryptoworld because there are also people that still promoting a project even it is scam.

It seems that this issue has been discussed several times, but until now there has not been a good system to get rid of fraudulent projects, even until now I still find fraudulent projects in the gift thread, there are even projects that have no capital. and dare to run it, far compared to the previous year ..

I hope this is not nonsense and is really done to eradicate fraud smelling projects ..

Bounty scam will not go away as long as there are hunters that are willing to join even if the project is an obvious scam. But it is good to see that there are now social media campaigns that are bitcoin paying. Though we already saw that before, but seems, it is going back again. The good thing is that the manager handling that campaign does accept btc and not token or unknown alt. That is also for the welfare of the participants. At least, they are sure that they are getting paid with valuable coin rather than worthless token that is not yet listed in an exchange.

I stopped bounty after 2019 only reentering this year because I was faced with a bit of financial troubles and things haven't improved, the reward is ridiculously low and most times the value afterwards is just too disappointing.

I hold some very huge amount of coins that was suppose to do well in this bounty period but are still struggling till date.
I feel you mate😁 We really hope that we can find ways to eliminate these scam and worthless projects that are launching continuosly until these days. They disguised to be something legitimate and then disappear after they got what they want. I think it would be nice if project team has collateral escrowed on trusted person depending on the amount they allocated for the forum bounty just to make sure they are legit and will not run away after the program. We bounty hunters spent our entire time to promote them but they failed us with worthless tokens/coins it is not actually the matter of choosing the right one but it is all about trust and hope. Investors are the most affected people when it comes to scam.

I don't see how bounty scam will gradually go away because not all project team are sincere or have reputations to protect, this have make bounty hunters to have less respect in crypto space, new projects seek for bounty hunters to create awareness for their new projects but when it comes to paying they show their real colors.

The only solution to bounty scam is escrowed and this is only what good bounty platforms or bounty managers should introduce to atleast limit disappointments of not getting paid

Not only escrowed but also ther developers should also pay bounty hunters with trade able coin or tokens I love to see the day that we are going to get paid with trade able coins so they cannot stop blaming bounty hunters of dumping their token, developers are so quick to blame bounty hunters when there's dump.

This is one good example why bounty scams will never disappear, and that is because of man's greedy nature. As long as man will continuously disrespect people who are slow in learning and those who are disabled, scams will never disappear. As long as there will be people who will succumb to the whims and glamour of projects that has no real backbone or future whatsoever. Be vigilant people so that you will never fall victim to this.

Wow hopefully that will be implemented so that bounty scam will be eradicated or minimized to the minimum number as much as possible. Anyway, I will be happy to see if changes in bounty scam will going to be resolved as  what OP stated that it is a cancer in the bitcointalk forum or to other forum as well. Admin of the forum has the great task of this but since they are not taking action for now and they had not make some announcement regarding to it well get used of it somehow. I can still learn about cryptocurrency from updates and the current events.

They're many projects coming out day by week, which we have good project that is not scam and went successful after the ICO, but in the means of this project, some are scam project, and that has been a serious issue, after western your time and energy to promote such project at the end, discovered is a scam project, which is very bad.

I don't think that scam projects will disappear in this forum, they will always be around from time to time. we have lots of btc paying signature campaigns and yet there are so much scam project around, so an inclusion of social media (twitter) in btc paying campaign will not reduce anything, besides not all project will hold a btc paying campaign.

I agree with you, as long as at least one person is falling for the scam, they are not going away. It's too attractive for the scammer to make free money with only a little bit of work. And as people are generally interested in giveaways and free coins, we will keep seeing scam campaigns. Even though bounty campaigns decreased this year, it's no guarantee that scams will stop. We can't let our guards down and need to keep checking every project.

Im not sure about that. There were many scam bounty campaigns since the beginning of ICO.
Scammers always trying to find a way to scam people, not only investors but the hunters as well, to obtain free promotion.
We should take our time more, it is very important to research on the project we join.

Actually we lost so many campaigns that distributed BTC payment. Even the same for signature campaign. If you follow some campaigns from now to two years, then you will find that most of them are dead. Although the same projects amount is always high, I'm seeing that continuously coinmarketcap listed coins are increasing 2k, 3k 4k. Some legit projects still survive.
Some of those can be explained away as just part of the normal cycle of any market, after all we cannot expect every single coin to be as successful as bitcoin and it is natural many face bankruptcy, but it is also true there are many scams in the market and without a doubt this makes very hard for investors and bounty hunters to decide in which project to invest their time and money, that is why I decided to invest in bitcoin and a few selected altcoins and forget about the rest of the coins.

Social media section promote more scam project that other. Telegram became the main point of scammers because of its privacy policy. This type of scam will not stop but we senior members can take some steps to prevent it. They can review the project before posting on the forum so that the scam project can not be published any promote through hunters.
Yes, you really have to make a review of the new project before posting, but it is also difficult to know at first, so many also qualify to be posted, because the scam or not a project is sometimes discovered after the project is almost finished, not when the new project starts.

First of all, the number of active bounty campaigns have declined very significantly.

It is that obvious too I think it has. The scammers have really taken a lot of money and time from investors and hunters. But the good thing is as you have observed too. Hunters are tired of being scammed and are being careful. So they are selective which has really reduced rate of new scam bounties.

There are two things here. First is that the number of ICOs have been on the decline, partly due to the low success rate in the recent times. Less ICOs mean less bounty campaigns. Secondly, as you pointed out a lot of users are no longer interested in participating in these bounties. They are fed up of all the scams and delayed payments. Only a few desperate ones, mostly consisting of new users now participate in these campaigns.

The numbers of participants including the investors not that much anymore, they ain't interested to become victimized again by those scammers who offered bounties but ain't paying or just chilling out and wasted their time.
Bounty hunters learned their  experienced that hard and now being wise doing research before starting over again to participate with any
offered bounties.

Scam bounty wont disappears these days since scammers are really existing in this industry. I don't think it could stop easily and when we look at those hype projects we observe there are many newly created projects. Our ways not to fall for these scam is always dyor and invest on what we can afford only.

As long as scamming brings money, it wont go away. The way investors, bounty hunters or just interested in the project people be scammed will evolve. See how things changed during years of bounty. First project simply perform exit scam after funds are collected. Later they start to simply not distributing rewards. Then they simply prolong campaigns or ask to pass KYC. Last 12-24 months they create rounds of campaigns or run lots of rounds of IEO. Now they add a DeFi prefix and do same from very beginning. Bounty scam is evolving and will never go away.

Bounty scam is not stopping anytime soon, the issue of buying fake social media followers has grown over years and almost 80% of hunters are already adapted to the system. Stopping bounty scammers won't be easy.
Yes, obviously Stopping bounty scammers will not be easy for anyone, because scammers also follow the times and times in crypto so that they can always take advantage of their opportunities through trends that are born every year.

I'm not so sure bounty scam will just go away that easy, even after some member's here flag some bounty campaigns you will still find so many bounty hunters registering and completing several task, there was a flagged bounty I came across the hunter said and I quote "i don't care if they are scam or not, all I know is that they paid my 1usdt" so imagine if they still have this mindset, they will surely participate in any bounty be it scam or not,the only way this can be stopped is for bounty hunters to stop participating in sh*tty bounty campaigns, and I don't think that's ever gonna happen  Cheesy.
