there are lots of cheap altcoins on the market but unfortunately not all of them are good to invest in, I myself prefer to invest in altcoin which certainly has many users or at least in the top 10 in coinmarcetcap. there are good coins to invest in such as ETH and EOS. I like this coin

You are right. You don’t buy a coin based on being cheap or not. There are lots of cheap coins in the market, but if you should buy based on that, you will be losing cause majority of them are not worth it. Ripple is cheap and it’s also a good coin, so you can buy it. As for Bitcoin, you can buy in fractions (satoshis) if you don’t have enough money to buy one full Bitcoin. Even Ethereum is cheap now. If you want to buy coins, buy the good ones and not looking for something cheap.

I do see almost 90% of investors from this forum are using coinmarketcap for referring and finalizing the coins for their portfolio but not sure how effective this will be as they are listing coins for payments. I mean we should not choose just based on their ranking systems.

Surpisingly, 90% of the altcoins has lost their best value from 100% to 1000%. You just need to look for some website that will give you those informations so you can do a comparison. If you want to be safe, just invest on the top 30- 50 altcoins because they are the ones who easily recovers when the market recovers.
