This as long as your post count is higher than your activity

That's what i wanted to ask, If i actually have same post count as my activity but I have posted at least 7 posts every 2 week period for 1 year. The problem is that I could of had bigger activity in 1 year If i had posted more Lets say 240 posts but i made only 180 in one year. So from that point my activity would  increase only 14 every 2 week period or faster?

In other words:

Is It possible to get more than 14 activity every 2 week period?

AFAIK, you can.

If you make 1 post in day 1, and make no posts for the next 14 days. Your post count and activity will be both at 1.
You can make 27 or more posts in day 15, and you will get 28 activity.

Ok, so i can get 14 activity per 2 weeks. I thought if you don't "use up" your activity because you made less than 14 posts It will get into next 2 weeks period value, but if you make less posts you kind of lose activity and you have to wait for another 2 weeks.

Like, if i made 1 post in 2 weeks I will get only 1 activity, if i made another 1 post in next 2 weeks i will get 1 activity only too. So what i did is got only 2 activity in 4 weeks now the 3rd 2 week period i will make 14 posts and I will get 14 activity, so what i did there? i got 16 activity in total for 3 two weeks period where i could of got 42 activity max instead 16 so i kind of lost activity because i made to less posts.

No. I've said several times you can't get more than 14 points every two week period. Impossible. You can, however, get 14 points on the day before the new period and another 14 the day after but no more until the new term starts two weeks later.
This is simply not true.

Anything that this equation allows is possible:

Code:
activity = min(time*14, posts)

where time is the number of 2 week periods in which you posted

What part of what I said isn't true?

So in the situation that i mentioned before I would get 14 activity points every day not every 2 weeks?

You'd get the 14 points in a day or as quick as you can make the 14 posts, but no more points than that until the next two week period.

SO It doesn't matter If i would be active on this forum for 10 months I would still have around 150 activity and no more, according i would have made only 150 posts in 10 months every second day 7 posts per 2 week period?

I don't know exactly what you're trying to say there. You're overly complicating this and just confusing yourself. I don't think I can say it any simpler than I already have. If you rephrase the question I'll try answer it but all the info you need can already be found in this thread.

Ok I'll just ask with specific example. I'll just give you sequence how i posted. Let's say every month has 30 days.

1. I registered an account today 5/1/2014
2. I started posting 1 post every two days. 5/1/2014 (i have 1 post), 5/3/2014 (i have 2 posts), 5/5/2014 (i have 3 posts) and so on for 360 days.
3. Now It's 5/1/2015 And I have 180 posts. (How many activity do i have?)
4. 5/2/2015 I made 30 posts, 5/3/2015 i made another 30 posts, now I have 240 posts in total (How many activity do i have now?)

If you can't answer this, just ignore  Tongue

Jeeze, why keep complicating the question? You get 14 points every two week period you post in as long as your post count is higher than your activity. The latest period started on the 27th of April so work it out if you want to know how many points you'll have in a years' time.

activity = min(time*14, posts)

I kind of understand that, but i would like to give an example so I'll see If i understand It really.

If I created an account and was making 1 post every two days period from the day I created the account, after a month (let's say every month has 30 days) I would have 15 posts and 15 activity? After 5 months (150 days) I would have 75 posts and 75 activity? Now, If from now I made 15 posts a day, how my activity would increase? I guess I would also get 15 activity a day till how many activity? If i understand correct you get 28 activity every month so for 5 months you would get around 140 activity? But people say that you need like 6 and a half month for a Sr. member but 6.5*28 = 182 activity. I'm sure I misunderstand something but could you answer me using my example, how long would It take to get Sr. Member If I make 1 post every 2 days period for 6 months and later I just make 50 posts a day, would my activity increase 50 a day also till I reach my activity limit according to my registering day?

My main question is: If I'm not very active on forums and posted 1 post every 2 days period for let's say 10 months, then i should have 150 posts, now i decided to be very active on the forums and post maybe 30 posts a day, how my activity increases, also 30 a day till my activity limit reached according to my date registered? Or I'm not right?

Thanks a lot.

That was confusing to read, but simply put, you can only get 14 points every two week period. The periods don't start when you sign up but are fixed. The next one starts on tuesday and then changes every two weeks after that. You only need to make one post every two week period providing your activity is higher than your post count.

You don't need to post, you just need to log in to get 14points providing your post count is higher to your activity, not the other way around

To answer gagalady : you can't get more than 14point every 2weeks

But I'm talking about situation when my post count is actually "lower" than activity. If  I make 150 posts in 300 days I'm sure I could have more activity than 150? But my activity can't go bigger than my post count? So what If i post 50 post in one day? My post count gets to 200 and activity?

Your post count wont be lower than your activity. They will either be the same or more. You will get a point for every post you make up until the max of 14 for that two week period. You wont ever get more than 14 points in a day even if you made 50 posts. You would just get 14.

So in the situation that i mentioned before I would get 14 activity points every day not every 2 weeks?

I believe you need to at least make 1 post instead of just logging in, as the "time" in the formula is definied as:

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Yeah, pretty sure you need to post.

I am sure I read you just needed to log in but since it is written "in which you've posted" I guess that wasn't correct and you need to post during the 2-week period to get your 14points providing your post count is > or equal to your activity

You can check tomorrow since that's when the activity updates Wink.

From another thread on activity the next updates and times are apparently:

( All times in GMT )

April 29th , 2014 , 8:26:40 AM
May 13th , 2014 , 8:33:20 AM
May 27th , 2014 , 8:40:00 AM
June 10th , 2014 , 8:46:40 AM

I posted during the 2-week period and my post count is high enough to get +14points; we would need someone that didn't post during the 2-week period but logged in; I guess it is possible to find one by looking for him carefully

You've posted in the 2 week period that starts tomorrow? Just don't post until after the period has started, log-in and wait up to 30 minutes and then you'll see.
