To get It all clear and more simple. You can get 28 activity per 2 weeks period maximum. Usually you will always get 14 activity every 2 weeks period If your post count Is high enough to gain your activity.
Basically you get 14 activity every 2 weeks period If you post at least once in those 2 weeks and your post count Is higher than your activity.

Your activity increases with your post count if your post count is less than (time * 14). Your post count can be more than 14 below (time * 14), therefore your activity can increase with your post count for more than 14 levels within a 2 week period.true
I'm pretty sure your activity only increases with your post count up until the max of 14 points for that period. I've never seen any instances of what you're saying unless I'm missing something here.
I think it's correct just stated confusingly. The most clear explanation is the OP. define "time", define postcount, then activity = min(time*14,postcount)
I'm not disputing that, but just the claim that people can get more than 14 activity in any two week period in some instances. That's what I'm not getting or unsure of.
The 14 day period is confusing to find start and end dates with..

Who really cares ? I bet most of the top posters just talk shit.
Hiding it would probably get rid of a lot of the useless posts.. As would banning the signature advertisements

You can disallow signature and you won't be "annoyed" by the sig advertising or you can ignore the members that never post interesting responses
Knowing the members activity and how much they posted give you some informations about them and how much they know about Bitcoin so it is an important information indeed
Yes It isn't bad idea to show your activity and posts. We need it for advertising and It just shows how active we are.

I think this isn't a very bad idea the activity and post count be hidden. Don't see the need for it to be open knowledge.
You can say bye to your sig deal then if that happend. Post counts and activity are useful information and you can choose to interpret them in your own way.
The post count is open knowledge on every forum. It should not be hidden actually.
It's hidden by default on this forum when you sign up though.

If your post count is more than 14 over your activity you only need to make the one post for the full 14 points.
