I wanted to stop watching the match, when the third goal was scored by Fernandez believing that it is an easy win match for the red devils.

Unknown to me that they will have to struggle till 120 minutes to penalty shootout. It was when two scores was scored that I totally lost hope in Manchester united and I was even expecting them to be defeated. I did not bother to watch the match any more when 90 minutes was over. It is just the penalty that I watched, because United didn't impress me.

I think it will take a long time for Man United to shine like before. However, this can all be achieved as long as they are willing to do :

- Fire Ten Hag, and sign a coach who really has the capability to handle Man United.
- Released the majority of their players, except for Kobbie Mainoo, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Rasmus Hojlund, and several of their young players who have good potential.
- Glazer does not interfere too much in the transfer window.

Currently Man United has lost their winning mentality and they look inconsistent in playing their football rhythm. Even against a team like Coventry, they have to struggle hard. I highly doubt that the management of Manchester United will fire the coach, it seems to me that the management of Manchester United has no motivation to achieve big things like the Premier League and the Champions League. FA Cup is United's only chance to lift a trophy this season and they may as well win it all since City could go all out while competing for the Premier League title. Man Utd may have underperformed against Coventry but I would be pleasantly surprised if they don't put up a strong fight city because I expect them to. It’s become a habit for Manchester United fans to call for the head of the manager or one particular Manchester United player when they are playing badly. I never liked Erik Ten Hag but it’s obvious to me that the problem with the club is more than just poor management. The players are not doing well themselves. If ETH is fired, the new manager will still suffer the same fate as ETH.

This win for Manchester United feels like a loss to their fans. They know that if they beat a small team like Coventry comfortable, they do not have a chance against Manchester City in the finals. I’m curious to see what odds bookmakers will give on the game.

Just as you said, they have already made it to the finals. The unconvinced they face is not the issue, but still, we have to speak about it because I don't know what is wrong with Manchester United because they have been playing a nice game at first, but they just ended up playing rubbish after their third goal. Coventry 8th in the Championship were able in the last 20 minutes of the game to get the draw against Manchester United then they were close to score before another attempt was ruled offside by the VAR. Few inches from passing Manchester United and gets to the final. At the end obviously the luck was on the side of Manchester United even though Casemiro missed the first penalty for United..
I find Manchester United performance at the end of the game very poor and such gameplay couldn't stand against Manchester City which are expected to win the Cup.

Amazing effort from Coventry in FA Cup, they scored three goals against Man United, played extra time and lost only after penalty shootout.
Final was so close for them but we are again having classical derby between Man City and Man United.
Man City is huge favorite and trophy for them would mean a lot after they lost from Real in Champions League.

City getting a win wasn't really a shocker, and for ETH's sake, they need to beat Coventry, it is not even the same league at this point (which is a big kudos to Coventry, that's awesome for them) I think we should consider the situation as very crucial for United and I believe that Manchester United has to win this game.

These will mean a Manchester derby for the FA cup final, which we all know how it will go, it is not even remotely close between those team, in fact Coventry beating United is a bigger chance than United beating City if you ask me. Of course football is always surprising and there could always be some games where things could go unexpected, so we could probably end up seeing something changing and a shocking result maybe, who knows?
