I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
The Jets took a beating last night damn, i'm sure even NE fans felt sorry for them at one point, it was not fair. I still have reservations about Patriots passing game [1] but their defense, as mention before in this thread, is legit...they are literally all over the place. Pats defense with a new nickname as per Kyle Van Noy - the Boogeyman. Grin

I am a NE fan and yesterday was a difficult game to watch, Darnold had no chance at all to throw the ball, you could see he was afraid of being hit by the way he threw the ball, he was dubitative and could not plant his feet and accept the punishment, and his comments about seeing ghosts were really unfortunate but it was the truth, while I really believe there is not other way to learn the QB position except by playing, at some point Adam Gase should have pulled Darnold out of the game since a defeat like this can mark Darnold for the rest of his career.

Unrelated, but for the first time I have a winning record on the weekly poll, I am 4-3. Grin

This was an absolute ass kicking.  Patriots defense is on a tear like never seen before.  They can literally punt on every first down and still win these games.  I am not a patriots fan but that's off to this team, with brady at the helmet and this defense, I see SB#7 coming this year.  They are definately the team to beat....again

The jets were not able to make a pass and early in the game darnold was on the qb mic and said "I am seeing ghosts!". This was a sign he was not fit to still be in the game in the second quarter as he went 0 for 19 passing in the rest of the game. They managed not to score a single point and the patriots just gave up at the end with getting 5 interceptions on this poor quarterback by the games end.
When a quarterback is not feeling like himself at the beginning of the game he should of been taken out of the game. Embarrassed
He was throwing passes as if he was playing for the patriots and throwing these passes right to the new england players. Sad

I think he couldnt see the field properly and this is why he made this comment early on in the game. Probably a concussion of some sort for him to see his players where they were but not when he actually released the ball.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
I need brady and edelman to combine for 35 points (1/2ppr) after subtracting White! And I'm a pats fan so I will be torn apart this game! Smiley

I'm pretty pissed i rage drunken dumped Dak last week but i did grab Cousins so I expect him to keep it up for awhile.

^^
The games tonight were surprising. Lamar jackson ran for massive amounts of yardage against the seahawks at home and the saints just destroyed the bears at their own cave.
So I will expect the cowboys to actually win this one at home since both teams are winless in their last three games.

Yeah these games were a bit surprising this week.  Colts look like a great team right now and one of the teams to beat in the AFC.  On the fantasy front I had marvin jones sitting on my bench and played cole Beasley instead.  I lost that game by 2 points...but in another league I won by 6 points and they had chase Edmonds on their bench so in a wierd way I guess it evened out for me lol.  Week to week it's so hard to figure out.

Those games were nuts. ingram and Carson put a nice dagger in me.

Forgot to vote in the poll I was focused on watching the other games mainly the 49ers vs Redskins I thought it would be the easiest cover for the 49ers but it was one point short. At the moment I have the underdogs (Ravens and Saints) spread both are in the lead hoping they'll at least cover the spread if they somehow throw their lead in the 4th.

I fancy the Eagles tonight to cover the spread as I do think that it will be a hard fought game and the scores will be close.
I also like the Eagles spread i'm taking the +3.5 lower payout but still good if the lead difference comes down to a field goal.

I didn't know what to take in today's games so I just went with the Colts at the ML as I liked them to win and because I picked them in the poll. I fancy the Eagles tonight to cover the spread as I do think that it will be a hard fought game and the scores will be close.

One late vote for Texans! (tied at 3/3)

Who you got in your fantasy leagues this week? I'm going with two teams for my Sunday league:

Minshew, Barkley, Freeman, Chark, Fuller, Fells, Beasley, Gore and Bills defense. trash squad

Garopollo, T.Coleman, Lockett, Kupp, T.Y.Hilton, Kittle, Yeldon, Breida and 49ers defense. trash squad

Fuller pulling a hammy in the 1st Q and out, Freeman ejected for scuffle and Yeldon inactive... Cheesy

Alot of people started to bet on the broncos to win the game once they saw mahomes go down and off the field. But moore did put up a good performance with those passes which resulted in a touchdown and all those fumbles by denver did help them cover the spread too. Smiley

Yeah, did I say how much Flacco sucks yet? Tongue

The Broncos have been a very myoptic team and Flakko has ZERO play action abilities but despite that they have alot of talent and their running backs seem to be getting used to being used exactley opposite the way they should.

When Mahomes went down with that injury, I thought that it was all over for my bet on KC over 25.5 points as it was looking very good before he went down but luckily Matt Moore was able to throw down a TD pass. Man that Broncos line was a trap for a lot of people including myself, I ended up breaking even on the night.

Now we move onto tomorrows games, I'm still undecided on what to take but I have picked the Colts with this weeks poll.

Mahomes with some spooky injury last night, dislocated kneecap i think. It looked bad when the trainers tried to pop it back in place. yikes
Everyone's talking all morning how serious this injury is and how much time he might miss but nobody is talking about the play itself.

QB sneak on 4th down and 1 knowing damn well your franchise guy is nursing a bad ankle and you let him dive into a pile of 270lbs bodies. The hell is that? Now we have to watch Matt Moore for a month at least, sorry but that injury is on Andy Reid.
Agreed, Andy Reid was only thinking on what it was best for the team during that particular play but he was not thinking on what was best for the team for the rest of this season and the next seasons, no one is crowned a champion on October but on February and for that to happen you need most of your stars to be healthy, and while it does not seem like a season ending injury this will limit his potential which is a problem for the Chiefs since they are so reliant on their QB and their offence.

People are blaming Reid but mobile quarterbacks do qb sneaks all the time, mahomes is no stranger to running the ball.  It was a freak accident that can happen to any player on any play.  One of the best parts of mahomes game is his mobility.  If he just sits in the pocket all game and isnt a threat to run the defense doesnt have to have a spy on him and can double someone else.  All in all it sucks for them but it wasnt unnecessary, if the game was in the 4th and they were up 30, yeah no need to run.  But it was in the first half of a tight game.

Well I guess I on the bright side, if you didn't draft Mahomes you have a chance now! Cheesy

Quote
The Kansas City Chiefs received "a best-case scenario" for quarterback Patrick Mahomes after an MRI showed no damage other than a dislocated right kneecap, an NFL source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday.

Mahomes suffered a right patellar dislocation during the second quarter of Thursday night's 30-6 road win over the Denver Broncos, sources told ESPN. Prior to the MRI, the team believed Mahomes would miss at least three games, sources told ESPN.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid on Friday said he didn't have results of the MRI, but a source told Schefter that results of the MRI were "good."

I have my bets placed for tonight's game, I went with KC total points over 25.5 as they seem to put up a good amount of points against Denver like the games last year so I'm liking this a lot and also the line has been pushed out to 26.5 so it seems the money is on this. I still like the Broncos to cover but I do agree that the spread is short for the Broncos, I would feel more confident if it was 5-7.

My money will be with kc on this one
I'll be taking the Chiefs as well, the Broncos are currently on a win streak beating a few good teams but I think the bookies are giving them too much credit for those wins and are underestimating the Chiefs. I wanted to take the spread which was -2.5 but will just go for tbe match winner since the score could end up just like the Lions match few days ago.

I'm hoping for a better week this week as last week was terrible for a lot of us. I'm liking the Broncos to cover the spread in tomorrow nights game against the Chiefs, the big game is the Eagles and Cowboys which is hard to pick a winner so I think I'll stay out and just watch the game as it should be good with both teams coming off a loss the week before and its a vital game for both teams in the NFC East division.

Looks like i'm the first to pick Houston (2 picks for colts atm), i see them making great strides and think they will ride the hot hand this week.

As far as Chiefs/Broncos that should be a good game and I would expect the chiefs to have a nice bounce back with Hill on the field and Watson not. The Broncos have been a very myoptic team and Flakko has ZERO play action abilities but despite that they have alot of talent and their running backs seem to be getting used to being used exactley opposite the way they should. AFA the spread I'm not sure what it is and am too lazy to look it up. Tongue
Eagles/Cowboys i am gonng to choose Eagles to break the loosing streak and the cowboys to continue to prove they are a shit team that got lucky the first few weeks and are just full of themselfs.

I agree the colts and houston game should be good.  Will be tough to pick that one but I'm leaning towards houston as well.  I agree as well on the KC game.  After losing 2 in a row no doubt they are going to be ready to play this one.  Denver is going to struggle with the pace of the game that kc plays at.  The key with kc is to win the time of possession game.  Flacco's will have to be real efficient to be able to keep kc off the field.  My money will be with kc on this one
