Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
I'm hoping for a better week this week as last week was terrible for a lot of us. I'm liking the Broncos to cover the spread in tomorrow nights game against the Chiefs, the big game is the Eagles and Cowboys which is hard to pick a winner so I think I'll stay out and just watch the game as it should be good with both teams coming off a loss the week before and its a vital game for both teams in the NFC East division.

Looks like i'm the first to pick Houston (2 picks for colts atm), i see them making great strides and think they will ride the hot hand this week.

As far as Chiefs/Broncos that should be a good game and I would expect the chiefs to have a nice bounce back with Hill on the field and Watson not. The Broncos have been a very myoptic team and Flakko has ZERO play action abilities but despite that they have alot of talent and their running backs seem to be getting used to being used exactley opposite the way they should. AFA the spread I'm not sure what it is and am too lazy to look it up. Tongue
Eagles/Cowboys i am gonng to choose Eagles to break the loosing streak and the cowboys to continue to prove they are a shit team that got lucky the first few weeks and are just full of themselfs.

New poll up:

[453] HOUSTON
[454] INDIANAPOLIS

Right now the spread is between 0 and +1 Houston. I don't really follow either of these two teams but I thought I would pick a couple of different teams to keep things varied.

I had McLaurin and W.Fuller + Sanu @ flex. McLaurin did good, 100yd receiving + 2 touchdowns, Sanu was a bust but i'm still mad at Fulller.

Dude was crazy last week and had plenty of opportunities to get big numbers against a bad Chiefs defense. Here's what i'm talking about:

bobble up in the 1st Q;
opening play in the 2nd Q;
could've been a 61yd td;

McLaurin is the real deal as long as he has a QB that can toss the long ball.
When he has that he's a WR1/Wr2 all day long.

Shocker of the week was the jets game...not many people could've had the jets winning this even with darnold coming back.  As a giant fan nothing more pleasant than seeing both the cowboys and eagles both lose this week but I was not expecting the cowboys to look the way they did.

Yeah, Jets and the Rams getting ruined were the shockers of the week for sure! San Fran single handedly took me down.

I wasn't sure who to pick this MNF but after watching the first half of the match the Packers' have been making so much mistakes that could've been converted so I took the Lions live +100 I think they would win by 1-3 points if this pace continues later on.

Edit : Slightly looking good on my bet, after the Packers scored with a field goal they've struggled to get any first downs.

Dang you didnt start Diggs?  Eagles were down to practice squad cornerbacks that was bound to happen.  Who did you start in front of Diggs.

Yeah overall I like fuller had him last year, the injuries always derailed the guy.  He is a homerun type of player just can never put together a whole season at top notch.  He would be a wr1 if he could do that.  Imagine teams that have would have to protect against him and DeAndre, yikes.  My guys dudded this week, between leagues I have tyler boyd, cooper kupp, michael thomas, I do have chris Godwin somehow I got him in the 6th round.  That was by far my best steal this year.  Dude is #2wr overall in my ppr league

Yet another disappointing week for my picks, already getting used to it.  Cheesy

I did slightly better with my fantasy team, was unlucky to get zero points from my TE Dissly (injured in the 2nd Q), i guees i should have gone with Hooper as everyone else did. W.Fuller bobbled up 35+ yard touchdown and missed on another long pass opportunity later in the first half.

I also regret not picking S.Diggs, Eagles were ranked 1st in most points per game allowed to outside receivers at 27.9. Agghhh!

Well I can see now why the line is where its at if Kamara is out.

The latest on Kamara is that he's active and going to play.

I've put together a single parlay for today (Ravens -6.5, Redskins -2.5 and Cowboys -6.5) looks solid to me... Roll Eyes

I hope my two Sunday fantasy league entries do a better job this week.

It was a bad day for me with my parlay so I decided to make a live bet on the 49ers before half time to cover +2.5 spread which is looking good right now. Its looking like we could see a big upset in the Jets/Cowboys game, the Jets had an amazing first half.
Most of my pre live bets are on the losing side as well there's so many upsets today. I was able to take the Jets +6.5 during the 1st quarter, even though they had a big lead I was still nervous when Cowboys started scoring on the 4th and almost forced it in to OT.

After all those upsets I wanted to take the Steelers they have a bad record but most of their scores are mostly close except for their first match against Patriots(they were blown out).

Steelers with Big Ben were a poor road team but there is not enough data to know if that is still the case. Neither team looked good last week. It looks like sticking Melvin Gordon in actually messed up the chargers offense somehow. The steelers are a pretty broken team though living off gimmick plays.

If I was going to bet that game i'd give the Chargers 8 or 9 points. But then again I would have never expected to see the 49ers ruin the Rams.

They both are playing well. The 49ers D is single handedly sinking my team. Goff has -.024 points. Lol

Hey when you guys post your bets why don't you use the format

Team1@Team2 spread

Bengals @ Ravens -6.5 sounds great
Redskins @ Dolphins +2.5 sounds good (Dolphins win eventually win 1 and this one might be it)
Cowboys @ Jets +6.5 sounds great

So we know both teams and who the home team is without having to check.

This may sound like a dumb question, but does the spread refer to the home team? For example, its the Ravens that are -6.5? I'm going to guess the answer is "yes" without actually researching the spreads.

Godwin and Evans' performances gave me a leg up on this week's fantasy game so far, even if TB lost their game. Its still gonna be a close one...

The shorthand we used to use is as you said in relation to the home team.

So tonight would be:

Steelers@Chargers -6

~At the moment.

With the home team Chargers giving the visitors 6 points.

I don't care what is used as I just did some checking and i don't see any sites using shorthand and it looks like they all use spreadsheets (must give the old bookies headaches! ). I think mine used to use ATS (at the spread) with a - or a + for the home team.

I would just like to know the quick down and dirty with a quick one liner like that. It doesn't matter to me what format you guys use, if there is a different one these days then just let me know.

Duuuuh, Ravens and Skins won their games but both fucked my parlay with 4th Q opponent touchdowns (last 2min)

Dolphins went for a 2 point conversion being down 17-16. lol

At least my fantasy team is looking good, i might crack the top 10 (out of 620). My team L.Jackson, M.Ingram, Carson, Mclaurin, AP, i also have Sanu hopefully he gets a TD or two.

Yeah there's real science on those spreads these days. Thats one reason I stopped back in the day, losing by a half point all the time will make you prematurely grey!

Edit: Sweet I streamed Coleman this week, grabbed Hyde as well but sat him in favor of McLaurin. I wish i had Hy7de in and coleman on the bench but I think i have this week in hand finally.

I've got a real tough choice for a flex, what do you guys think?
I have been on  Ekeler all week but alot has happened to make me rethink that.

1/2PPR

Terry McLaurin -  Case Keenum is back and playing Miami !!!

Phillip Lindsay - Denver is not play calling worth a shit so he's been riding my bench.

Larry Fitzgerald - He's been on my bench as a blocker/Trade equity as I'm WR deep but this week is juicy

Malcolm Brown  - I snagged him as soon as i heard Gurley was down...got lucky. Smiley

Austin Ekeler - What can I say, i wish Gorden never came back ! Cheesy

WR1 Michael Thomas
WR2 Julian Edelman
