I'm having trouble getting past the 600-650mhz range with both my miners.
When I try to go any faster they start mining fine, then they reset with a "no valid hashes for over x secs" message (x = 6-7 or so).
Of course the time of the reset reduces the average hash rate to lower than I would get at 600-650 (420-460GH/s).

I'm running cgminer 4.3.4 on Minepeon 0.2.6, my options are as Gateway suggested:  --hfa-fan 100 --hfa-temp-target 0 --hfa-temp-overheat 110 --hfa-fail-drop 0 --hfa-hash-clock .
My temps are ranging from the high 80's to the low 90's depending upon clock.

Anyone have any ideas?

BTW, Congrats to the Peppermining Team. NICE job!  Grin

damm!  keep blowing the breaker.

DUUUHHH!!  Roll Eyes  120vac * 15A = 1800W

can't put more than 2 haps per circuit!

amazing amount of heat

BTW - I wouldn't run chilies and hasps on the same instance of cgminer.  I got a significant jump by turning off the chilies

Got the first board up and running.  510GH/s at 700ghz, 91 degrees on a Nepton 280L.

Getting an infrequent message - temp related or the equivalent of a HW error?  Different core and die numbers.

HFA 0 NOTICE: Hash Core Error: Squelching die 0 core 5

I rolled it back until I refit the cooler.

Nice hardware, these are going to be fun.   Smiley

Edit: found the answer.

Hoping to get my two today.
For the less technical of us would it be possible to get an image file for the rasp pi?
We can look into it. None of us use an rPi, but if not one else has an rPi image with an upgraded version of cgminer, we'll try to get one released here this coming week.

Thanks Mr. Teal.  I am going to mess with it best I can.  But if someone has it working and could make an image I would appreciate it.

My water coolers don't arrive till Tuesday... So I think I will gut a Chile and try some air cooling.

Stupid question.

Do we have to put chips on the board or they are already on ?

Thank you very much
Not a stupid question, there can be some confusion because we also offer assembly for people who have chips in hand. The boards we sell through the website all have the chips mounted, ship with the backplates attached, and should just be ready to screw in the cooling head and plug in a power supply.

Happy days Smiley

Thank you very much

info of my experiences so far

Corsair h100 with stock fans

standard MinePeon Version 0.2.4.6 image running on RiPi

) had to switch the miner from bfgminer to cgminer 4.0.1 to get it to work, but it's not a version that supports all the hashfast features.  I gather I can get an enhanced version somewhere?

) evenly tightened the cooler nuts, tight, but not too tight.  waiting for release of the tool to fine tune the temperature/nuts.

) 4: HFB 0: 650MHz  93C 100% 0.87V  | 603.4G/629.0Gh/s | A:294297 R:14772 HW:1301 WU: 8751.2/m

) couldn't get 4 chilies and one haspanero to be recognized and running by minepeon.  finally figured out I had to sequence the power up.  turn on the chilies and wait for them to finish their boot.  turn on the haspanero and wait for their boot.  THEN turn on the RiPi.

What temperature should these be running at?  is 93C at 650Mhz way hot?
What components other than the ASICs need to be kept cool for max speed? i.e. is it worth it blowing air on top or bottom of the board?

Great news! I updated Cgminer and bumped it up to 700. Not going to push any farther until I adjust the tightness and upgrade the fans.

I received today my Habaneros !

One is working fine but the other one have USB communication issue.

I tried to swap the cables, swap the PSU, tighten more the pump, lower clock below 500 but same result ....

Any idea what else to try ?

Board with a bit of info on it..

LEDs are grouped into four main categories. Beside each PCIe power input there's an LED which indicates whether there is voltage present on those plugs. On the right hand side of the board (away from USB) there is another LED by the 7V (actually 6.8V) power supply and test point that indicates that voltage rail is working. On the side of the board with the USB, there is one more LED by the 3.3V power supply and test point that indicates that the 3.3V rail is powered up.

Lastly, there is a row of 8 LEDs that are general indicators. Right now the top four light up when the board is on and running, and the bottom four will light up when the low voltage power supplies have been requested to be turned on. We'll probably fold more debugging information into those going forward, once we finalize all the information that we want to display.
