Watch out for the "Neg-Rep-Dogie-Police".....

Anyone ordering from UK needs to put aside £300 for import duty for 2 boards  Shocked

I know - it's ridiculous. I've contacted Peppermining/Mr Teal on a few occasions hoping to arrange something regarding a UK/EU importer/distributor/seller in the hope that these costs could be reduced & open up the European market to these cards - but it looks like they are either too busy atm or don't plan on exporting them outside of the US - I'm not sure. It's a shame though.
It's still an option and we might pursue it, once we get past this current mad run of the initial build-up. At least for the Habanero, a lot will depend on what happens in court this week to see whether we'll be producing more of these or whether it was a one time deal.

Good to hear Mr Teal - thanks for clarifying  Smiley

Nice to see the price drop with batch 2 also - this can only be good news for the UK/EU market - drop me a line as soon as you like - I'm all set here.

I have only been scrypt mining for about 4 months and I've learned quickly, and done well for myself with modest investments, but I think I'm seeing the writing on the wall, and its time for me to mine sha/BTC (sounds backwards right?).

... I've been doing some research, and this project seems unreal... Are my simple calculations completely off base for ROI?

Anyway, not being as tech savvy as, well, probably anyone here - would anyone with the project be willing to put a kit together for me for a modest additional fee? My scrypt gridseeds run cool, and come plug and play, so this is new ground for me (I've only ever cooled rigs with fans, and volt-modding scrypt asics was a big step for me). I was thinking about buying 4 Habaneros, and while I can learn just as I have with scrypt, I'd hate to burn my peppers!

If this post is in the wrong place, or way off topic apologies.
Thank you in advance for your input Smiley

I can help you with a complete system with tested cooling components, PSU, controller, etc. in a nice case that is perfectly sized for one or two Habaneros. Feel free to PM me for more details. I can tell you that you have stumbled onto the right project. These boards are great and I am sure they will sell out at the current price. Luckily, you don't have to worry about any failure to deliver as these guys have always delivered as promised and provided solid support.

The website is updated now. Batch 2 started testing today, and boards will ship June 9th. Pricing for Batch 2 is $850.

Pepper Mining app is released! Read more about it at https://peppermining.com/pepper-miner-app/

Ill also be hanging out for a bit starting now on the freenode habanero channel.. join ##habanero and maybe I can answer any questions you have.

how can switch what board core temps I see ?

Currently the app only works with one board, its on the long todo list and I wanted to get this out first so you can at least try to start using this to help out.

Also, I'll poke Gateway to update the site, but it should now read in stock instead of preorder. Smiley

The old "Redo" is always worth trying. I also noticed after tweaking several cooling heads that this process seems to work best...

1. Hand tighten them all down first.
2. Start hashing at a low clock speed and then tighten as evenly as possible.
3. Crank up the clock speed.
4. Loosen each corner until you verify a move up or down in temp to make sure that certain corners are not too tight.

I noticed that in many cases I needed to loosen certain corners by a turn or two to get even temps across chips. It's a bit like tuning a guitar.

I have to strongly agree with this having taken tested many habaneros and one thing to note is you can get it to tight which then also causes temps to rise.

Take your time and try it a few times but following the rules above should help..

Set up multiple workers/api ports or turn the other board(s) off lol!
Yeah, right now it just interleaves the data, so if you had one at 900 and one at 850, you'd see the clock rate alternate every sample. It might eventually provide a better interface to reporting all the information on each board, but for now this release is primarily to give a nice indication of the temperature for each die to allow you to optimize cooling.

well that's something I can think myself Wink I thought there is some option I missed.. as I can see all boards in ASC tab, but only one board in Dies ta

One of mine ran all night @ 800mhz producing 610GH/s using cgminer 4.3.4 on minepeon/r-pi.
The other was running  @ 650mhz producing  480GH/s using hashfast version of minepeon.

Total of 1.09TH/s using 1300 watts at the wall from a 80+ gold PS. I'm very happy with the Nepton 280L, the stock fans are pretty good and certainly adequate for 800mhz. Although the Glacer 240 is better engineered and superbly constructed, it doesn't seem to have as much cooling capacity as the cheaper Nepton 280. But that's just an unscientific preliminary observation. Cheesy

At least for the Habanero, a lot will depend on what happens in court this week to see whether we'll be producing more of these or whether it was a one time deal.
Under what scenario you won't be able to purchase more chips for a right price?

Xjack, those are some impressive stats! What cooling hardware are you using? Whats the ambient temperature? What thermal compound did you use? Sounds like you've got some high powered fans, any other tips?

Ran that for abt 8 hours, then ambient temp got me.  Rolled it back to 875.  Two Habs, 3 bitmain S-1s, 26usb sticks...

Anyway.  Nepton 280L with 1 stock fan and one 125cfm screamer pulling air through the Rad onto the back of the board.
